Crocheted potholder is made in the classic "Magic Square" pattern to give a double layer of protection between your hand and that hot pan. The cruelty-free vegan 100% cotton yarn will not melt under high-temperature conditions.

Note that each potholder has its own appearance, due to the nature of variegated yarns. This is particularly true of this beautiful striped yarn.

Your potholder will not look *exactly* like the picture, but will have the same colors in its own pretty pattern.

Dimensions: 8" X 8" (20 X 20 cm) with a 1" (2.5 cm) loop for hanging.

Machine wash and dry. Fabric softener is not recommended.

Traveling? Don't have room in your suitcase for a pile of washcloths? Here's a way to both carry and use your favorite soap!

Of course, this is also a great way to treat yourself to a little bathtime luxury at home. And you're less likely to drop that slippery soap when it's inside this versatile bag.

Drawstring bag is crocheted from 2 strands of vegan-friendly size-10 100% cotton thread. Both are pure white.

The mildly rough texture gives a GENTLE exfoliating effect.

The bag is sized to hold a 3-4 oz bar of soap, or that little pile of scraps you've been meaning to use up, and is easily hung up to dry between uses.

If you should want to clean the soap scent out of the bag between soaps (a good idea when changing scents), it can be machine washed on "gentle" and laid flat to dry.

White Handknit Cotton Cloth

Sometimes old-fashioned things are really the best.

Like this cloth. It's "just like Grandma used to make" - sturdy, utilitarian, practical, and bleachable. No fancy patterns, no gorgeous colors. Just. Plain. Dishcloth. (or Washcloth.) Handmade with love. In white.

This single handknitted cloth is made of solid bright white vegan-friendly cruelty-free 100% cotton yarn. Cotton is truly the best fiber for dishcloths, as I have learned from experience. It's absorbent, durable for scrubbing, and easily cleaned.

Scrub those dirty dishes. Clean out the refrigerator. Wipe down the countertops. Bathe your kid with it. Use it as a facecloth. It's got a lot of uses!

Then toss it in the washer (with bleach if you need to) and dryer to prepare for the next time the kitchen or a dirty person needs your attention. But please don't use fabric softener (it interferes with absorbability). The cloth will get softer and softer with each washing.

You will observe that the cloth does not look perfectly square in the photographs. Cotton is not elastic and dishcloths tend to look a bit weird when fresh off the knitting needles. After a turn through your washer and dryer, it'll set right up and look great!

Dimensions: A practical 8" (20 cm) square.

Orange Sherbet Cotton Crochet Cloth

Here's a pretty new take on a good old-fashioned item: the crocheted dishcloth, updated in pretty pastel colors!

This listing is for a single 100% cotton cloth with many uses. Use it to wash the dishes, clean the counters ... or as a great personal washcloth. It will last much longer than a mass-produced cloth.

Cotton is indeed the best fiber to use for cloths, as I have learned through personal experience. It's absorbent, durable for scrubbing, easily cleaned, still looks good after a lot of use, and is eco-friendly.

This pretty woven-stitch cloth in tones of subdued orange and soft yellow measures a generous 9" X 9" (23 X 23 cm).

Feel free to toss it in the washer and dryer. But please don't use bleach (the color will fade) or fabric softener (interferes with absorbability). You'll find that it gets softer and softer with each washing.

Due to the nature of variegated yarns your dishcloth will not look *exactly* like the picture. It will have the same colors in its own attractive pattern.

Handknitted hat in a royal blue is an interesting peaked shape that will look great whichever way you wear it. If the points are front/back, the effect is pixie/elfin (photograph #1) With the points over the ears, you'll look more like a space alien (photograph #3).

The unstretched circumference is 25" (63.5 cm) halfway up the hat, which will nicely fit a head size of 21-23" (53-58.5 cm). The ribbed construction means that it fits a wide range of head sizes.

Fall Foliage Cotton Crochet Cloth

Here's a pretty new take on a good old-fashioned item: the crocheted dishcloth, updated in earth-tone colors!

This listing is for a single 100% cotton cloth with many uses. Use it to wash the dishes, clean the counters ... or as a great personal washcloth. It will last much longer than a mass-produced cloth.

Cotton is indeed the best fiber to use for cloths, as I have learned through personal experience. It's absorbent, durable for scrubbing, easily cleaned, still looks good after a lot of use, and is eco-friendly.

This pretty woven-stitch cloth in tones of coffee, rust, caramel, and white measures a generous 9" X 9" (23 X 23 cm).

Feel free to toss it in the washer and dryer. But please don't use bleach (the color will fade) or fabric softener (interferes with absorbability). You'll find that it gets softer and softer with each washing.

Due to the nature of variegated yarns your dishcloth will not look *exactly* like the picture. It will have the same colors in its own attractive pattern.

This handknit roll-brim style bright red hat has a brown "stem" at the top. The stem is an integral part of the knitting, so it will remain securely attached during normal wear and care.

Its (unstretched) circumference is 24" (61 cm), and is recommended for a head size of 22-23" (56-58.5 cm). At a height of 7.5" (19 cm), this hat will cover about 3/4 of the ears.

The height is easily adjusted: roll the brim up or down as needed. Its circular-knitting construction means that your child's scalp will not be irritated by any bulky seams.

This adorable handknit hat looks like a strawberry for you to wear. It has red "flesh" with yellow "seeds" and a green "top" and "stem".

Here's a pretty new take on a good old-fashioned item: the crocheted dishcloth, updated in pink!

This listing is for a single 100% cotton cloth with many uses. Use it to wash the dishes, clean the counters ... or as a great personal washcloth. It will last much longer than a mass-produced cloth.

Cotton is indeed the best fiber to use for cloths, as I have learned through personal experience. It's absorbent, durable for scrubbing, easily cleaned, still looks good after a lot of use, and is eco-friendly.

This pretty woven-stitch cloth measures a generous 9" X 9" (23 X 23 cm).

Feel free to toss it in the washer and dryer. But please don't use bleach (the color will fade) or fabric softener (interferes with absorbability). You'll find that it gets softer and softer with each washing.

Handknitted roll-brim hat of 3 bright colors of yarn- yellow, orange, and white - is colored and shaped like the famous fall candy that's been around since the 1880s.

It is sized to fit a "standard" adult head, with an unstretched circumference of 25" ( 63.5 cm). This is a good fit for a head size of 22 - 23" (56 - 58.5 cm) The pointyness of the hat makes it taller than my usual designs, with a height of 9" (23 cm) when the brim is not rolled at all. (It rolls up naturally to some extent - and you can roll it up more if desired.) This hat will cover your ears warmly.

A new companion item to my cotton soap sacks - a pair of small cotton cloths for washing your face!

This particular cloth is a perfect match with my Sweet Lemon Sugar Cotton Soap Sack.

This listing is for two handcrafted cotton cloths. The bar of soap shown in one photograph is not included. The soap, a 4 oz. hemi-cylindrical bar, is shown for size comparision and for a pleasing image. It is handmade by a friend and not available on Etsy.

Circular cloth with scalloped shells around the outside is crocheted from 2 strands of size-10 100% cotton thread. One is pure white and the other is solid yellow.

The mildly rough texture gives a GENTLE exfoliating effect.

Size: 4" (14.5 cm) in diameter. I find this to be the perfect size for face washing, particularly when using a scrub.

You will observe that the cloths do not look perfectly even in the photographs. Cotton is not elastic and facecloths tend to look a bit weird sometimes. After a bit of use and a turn through your washing machine, they'll set right up and look great!

Vegan-friendly cotton thread is easy care: Machine wash on "gentle" cycle. Lay flat to dry, patting into shape.

Of course, this is also a great way to treat yourself to a little bathtime luxury at home. And you're less likely to drop that slippery soap when it's inside this versatile bag.

Drawstring bag is crocheted from 2 strands of vegan-friendly size-10 100% cotton thread. One is yellow and one is white. This use of color gives a nice "tweedy" appearance reminiscent of a sugared lemon candy.

The mildly rough texture gives a GENTLE exfoliating effect.

The bag is sized to hold a 3-4 oz bar of soap, or that little pile of scraps you've been meaning to use up, and is easily hung up to dry between uses.

If you should want to clean the soap scent out of the bag between soaps (a good idea when changing scents), it can be machine washed on "gentle" and laid flat to dry.

Once you've tried it, you may never use mass-produced again.

This 100% cotton cruelty-free vegan-friendly scrubbie is lovingly handknit in a spiral circle pattern. Its pastel blue and brown remind me of blueberry-flavored chocolates.

Note that due to the nature of variegated yarns, each scrubbie has its own unique appearance. Yours will not look *exactly* like the picture, but will have the same colors in its own pretty pattern.

It measures approximately 4" (10 cm) in diameter and has a 1" (2.5 cm) loop for hanging on a hook to dry between uses.

Easy care: machine wash/dry. Fabric softener is *not* recommended. The color will fade slightly but the scrubbie will become softer and softer with each washing.

Here's some cute summer fun for your feet - for the 4th of July, and beyond.

Under my hands, a mass-produced item has become a one of a kind creation. You will never see yourself coming down the street when you wear these FunkyFlipFlops!

A white pair of flip flops with a blue and red star design has its over-foot straps completely crocheted over with a generous amount of a variegated red/white/blue yarn.

This pair fits a U.S. women's shoe size 5/6. Note that the yarn is securely knotted at both ends and that the yarn ends are thoroughly worked in for durability and a long wearing life.

The yarn is vegan-friendly and cruelty-free. However, I am uninformed as to the "vegan-ness" of the shoe materials, so I am NOT tagging this item as vegan-friendly.

Here's some great summer fun in bright colors that have me thinking of ice cream!

Under my hands, a mass-produced item has become a one of a kind creation. You will never see yourself coming down the street when you wear these FuzzyFlipFlops!

A white pair of flip flops with a bright polka dot design has its over-foot straps completely crocheted over with a generous amount of a soft fuzzy variegated chenille yarn in shades of turquoise, green, pink, yellow, and orange.

This pair fits a U.S. women's shoe size 8.5/9.5. Note that the yarn is securely knotted at both ends and that the yarn ends are thoroughly worked in for durability and a long wearing life.

The yarn is vegan-friendly and cruelty-free. However, I am uninformed as to the "vegan-ness" of the shoe materials, so I am NOT tagging this item as vegan-friendly.

Crocheted potholder is made in the classic "Magic Square" pattern to give a double layer of protection between your hand and that hot pan. The cruelty-free vegan 100% cotton yarn will not melt under high-temperature conditions.

Note that each potholder has its own appearance, due to the nature of variegated yarns. Your potholder will not look *exactly* like the picture, but will have the same colors in its own pretty pattern.

This 100% cotton cruelty-free vegan-friendly scrubbie is lovingly handknit in a spiral circle pattern. Its bright cheerful colors remind me of 3 flavors of summer lemonade.

Note that due to the nature of variegated yarns, each scrubbie has its own unique appearance. Yours will not look *exactly* like the picture, but will have the same bright colors in its own pretty pattern.

It measures approximately 4" (10 cm) in diameter and has a 1" (2.5 cm) loop for hanging on a hook to dry between uses.

Easy care: machine wash (gentle cycle)/dry (low). Fabric softener is *not* recommended. The color will fade slightly but the scrubbie will become softer and softer with each washing.

Just Plain White Handknitted Dishcloth Set

Sometimes old-fashioned things are really the best.

Like these dishcloths. They're "just like Grandma used to make" - sturdy, utilitarian, practical, and bleachable. No fancy patterns, no gorgeous colors. Just. Plain. Dishcloths. Handmade with love. In white.

This set of two (2) handknitted dishcloths is made of solid bright white vegan-friendly cruelty-free 100% cotton yarn. Cotton is truly the best fiber for dishcloths, as I have learned from experience. It's absorbent, durable for scrubbing, and easily cleaned.

Scrub those dirty dishes with one; clean the refrigerator or wipe down the countertops with the other.

Then toss them in the washer (with bleach if you need to) and dryer to prepare for the next time the kitchen needs your attention. But please don't use fabric softener (it interferes with absorbability). The cloths will get softer and softer with each washing.

You will observe that the cloths do not look perfectly square in the photographs. Cotton is not elastic and dishcloths tend to look a bit weird when fresh off the knitting needles. After a turn through your washer and dryer, they'll set right up and look great!

Dimensions: Both cloths are 8" (20 cm) square.

A bright cheerful rainbow to keep your child's head warm!

This handknit hat is made in variegated shades of red, orange, yellow, blue, green, and purple.

Note that each hat has its own appearance, due to the nature of variegated yarns. Your hat will not look *exactly* like the picture, but will have the same colors in its own pretty pattern.

With an (unstretched) circumference of 21" (53 cm), it is sized to fit a 19-20" (48-51 cm) head. This is the **approximate** size of a 18-month-old child. At 6" (15 cm)tall, it's the right height to cover the child's ears. The roll brim means the height is easily adjustable - just roll up or down as needed. The circular-knitting construction means that your little one's scalp will not be irritated by any bulky seams.

This simple solid-color hat is handknitted in a beautiful shade of lavender. It coordinates beautifully with my Lady Lavender scarf.

The hat circumference is 24.5" (62 cm), and is recommended for a head size of 22-23.5" (56-60 cm). My own head is 23", and a similar hat fits me comfortably.

Of course, this is also a great way to treat yourself to a little bathtime luxury at home. And you're less likely to drop that slippery soap when it's inside this versatile bag.

Drawstring bag is crocheted from 2 strands of cruelty-free vegan-friendly size-10 100% cotton thread. One is solid white; one is variegated white/pink/rose.

Note that due to the nature of variegated thread, each bag will have its own unique appearance. Yours will not look *exactly* like the picture, but will have the same lovely colors in its own pattern.

The mildly rough texture gives a GENTLE exfoliating effect.

The bag is sized to hold a 3-4 oz bar of soap, or that little pile of scraps you've been meaning to use up, and is easily hung up to dry between uses.

If you should want to clean the soap scent out of the bag between soaps (a good idea when changing scents), it can be machine washed on "gentle" and laid flat to dry.

A beautiful companion item to my cotton soap sacks - a cotton cloth for washing your face!

This particular cloth is a perfect color match to my Violets and Lavender Cotton Soap Sack.

This listing is for one handcrafted cotton cloth. The bar of soap shown in one photograph is not included. The soap, a 4 oz. hemi-cylindrical bar, is shown for size comparision and for a pleasing image. It is handmade by a friend and not available on Etsy.

Square cloth, a variation on a classic granny square pattern, is crocheted from 2 strands of size-10 100% cotton thread. One is solid white; the other is variegated white/lavender/violet.

Note that due to the nature of variegated thread, each cloth will have its own unique appearance. This cloth will not look *exactly* like the picture, but each one will have the same lovely colors in its own pattern.

The mildly rough texture gives a GENTLE exfoliating effect.

Size: 5.75" (14.5 cm) square. I find this to be the perfect size for face washing. Also it will be ideal for bathing yourself or your young child.

You will observe that the cloths do not look perfectly square in the photographs. Cotton is not elastic and facecloths tend to look a bit weird sometimes. After a bit of use and a turn through your washing machine, they'll set right up and look great!

Vegan-friendly cruelty-free cotton thread is easy care: Machine wash on "gentle" cycle. Lay flat to dry, patting into shape.

Of course, this is also a great way to treat yourself to a little bathtime luxury at home. And you're less likely to drop that slippery soap when it's inside this versatile bag.

Drawstring bag is crocheted from 2 strands of vegan-friendly cruelty-free size-10 100% cotton thread. One is solid white; one is variegated white/lavender/violet.

A hot color combination to keep your neck warm!

Crocheted scarf of medium-dark brown has a petal pink stripe running up the middle. The color combination reminds me of dark chocolate filled with strawberry whip, like those Russel Stover hunks of deadly sin (i.e. gluttony) you can only get at Easter.

PHOTOGRAPHY NOTE: Unfortunately this shade of brown is ***extremely*** difficult to photograph accurately. Image #1 shows it at its best. I've even looked online for images of the skein of yarn to include. Every one I found looks nearly black, just like my images of the scarf. The actual color is that of a cup of coffee sans cream, or some really nice milk chocolate.

Here is the perfect gift for a messy cook.

Never again mistake your hotpad with someone else's at the family reunion or potluck supper.

Behold: The World's Ugliest Potholder!

This one of a kind "upcycled" crocheted potholder is made in the classic "Magic Square" pattern to give a double layer of protection between your hand and that hot pan. Random lengths of many colors of 100% cotton were used, with careful attention to non-coordination and to nicely finishing off all the yarn ends. The vegan-friendly and cruelty-free yarn will not melt under high-temperature conditions.

Notice in the third photograph that the potholder appears to not be *perfectly* square. This small quirk in the picture is due to the non-elastic nature of cotton. After the first washing everything will straighten up nicely, never fear.

This adorable handknit hat looks like a pumpkin for you to wear. It is deep orange with a dark brown "stem". The stem is a continuation of the hat itself, not something tacked on later, so it's extremely secure with normal wearing and washing.

Handknitted hat in a bright green is an interesting peaked shape that will look great whichever way you wear it. If the points are front/back, the effect is pixie/elfin (photographs #1, #2, #3) With the points over the ears, you'll look more like a space alien (photograph #5).

The unstretched circumference is 25" (63.5 cm) halfway up the hat, which will nicely fit a head size of 21-23" (53-58.5 cm). The ribbed construction means that it fits a wide range of head sizes.

Light Sage Green Handknitted Cotton Dishcloth Set

Spruce up your kitchen with something both pretty and useful!

This set of two (2) handknitted dishcloths is made of light sage solid colored yarn that is vegan-friendly, cruelty-free, and 100% cotton. Cotton is truly the best fiber for dishcloths, as I have learned from experience. It's absorbent, durable for scrubbing, and easily cleaned.

Scrub those dirty dishes with one; clean the refrigerator or wipe down the countertops with the other.

Then toss them in the washer and dryer to prepare for the next time the kitchen needs your attention. But please don't use bleach (which will destroy the color) or fabric softener (it interferes with absorbability). The color will fade ever so slightly with each washing, and the cloths will get softer and softer.

You will observe that the cloths do not look perfectly square in the photographs. Cotton is not elastic and dishcloths tend to look a bit weird when fresh off the knitting needles. After a turn through your washing machine, they'll set right up and look great!

Dimensions: both cloths are 8" (20 cm) square.

A great hat for your child, whether his (or her!) daddy is in the military or not.

Hand-knitted hat is made in the most classic of camouflage colors: black, tan, brown, and olive green. It is sized to fit an approximately elementary-school-age child, with an (unstretched) circumference of 22 inches. This will fit a head size of 20-21" (51-53 cm). At a height of 7.5" (19 cm), this hat will come halfway down the child's ears.

*****Please be aware that this hat is NOT a good fit for an adult with a small head, due to its proportions.*****

Here's something great for keeping a little one warm, whether or not his (or her!) daddy is in the military.

This handknit hat is made in the most classic of camouflage colors: black, tan, brown, and olive green.

Note that each hat has a unique appearance, due to the nature of variegated yarns. Your hat will not look *exactly* like the picture, but will have the same colors in its own pattern.

With an (unstretched) circumference of 21" (53 cm), it is sized to fit a 19-20" (43 cm) head. This is the approximate size of a 18-month-old-child. It's the right height to cover the child's ears. The circular-knitting construction means that your little one's scalp will not be irritated by any bulky seams.

Have a whimsical sense of humor? Love green apples? Here then, is the perfect amusing hat for you!

This handknit roll-brim style bright green hat has a brown "stem" at the top. The stem is an integral part of the knitting, so no need to worry that it will become detached or damaged during normal wear and care.

Its (unstretched) circumference is 25" (63.5 cm), and is recommended for a head size of 22-23" (56-58.5 cm). My own head is 23", and a similar hat fits me comfortably. At a height of 8" (20 cm), this hat will cover your ears.

The height is easily adjusted: roll the brim up or down as needed. Its circular-knitting construction means that your scalp will not be irritated by any bulky seams.
