Sagiattrius is a special Fire sign – it’s mutable (which is a watery, mercurial quality), and therefore may seem less forceful than the other firey signs. Sagittarius is associate with traveling, mystery and wisdom. It is a ruled by Jupiter.
This is another oil I had difficulties designing. Originally, I created two – one which was “masculine” - foresty, and included angelica root (my least favourite ingrnedient – perhaps the only building block I really need to “work on” and stop avoiding!). The other was “feminine”, with notes of champaca, carnation and star anise. Recently (a couple of years ago) I decided to integrate my favourite elements of each perfumes, and create just one Sagittarius scent. This turned to be my favourite and the best of the all: fir absolute, black tea, spikenard, champaca, carnation, rose, nutme, mace and star anise make it an unconventional but utterly loveable.

The essences I chose to use in Cancer Perfume are quite unusual: the base is amber, as a remote reference to the ambergris of the sea, patchouli for a grounded warmth, and the lunar jasmine notes at the heart. But what makes it really unusual is the addition of both anise and camphor (also lunar and watery in quality), which add a mystique and an intriguing ambivalence of cool/warm effect.

This beautiful octagonal poison ring is an ethnic East Indian ring is made of sterling silver and adorned with a round moonstone. Simple body for the ring, and the box is relatively large (though not hideous when worn on the finger). It's size is approximately size 8.

It is filled with Moon Breath solid perfume, a meditative perfume oil consisting primarily of heady white flowers connected to the moon. Jasmine, ylang ylang and frangipanni create the floral core, uplifted by notes of grapefruit and Bois de Rose. Recently (a couple of years ago) I decided to integrate my favourite elements of each perfumes, and create just one Sagittarius scent. This turned to be my favourite and the best of the all: fir absolute, black tea, spikenard, champaca, carnation, rose, nutme, mace and star anise make it an unconventional but utterly loveable.

The virtues of Virgo are modesty and hard work – also marked by an extreme tediousness and attention to detail. Virgo is an Earth sign, but being ruled by the planet of Mercury and being a mutable sign it one of the least stable signs of the element, and perhaps also the most cerebral. I originally formulated this with narcissus, but recently changed the formulation so that the earthy qualities are represented by rose and magnolia and myrrh. The mercurial qualities are represented by mastic, cardamom, fennel and sparkling citrus notes of Clementine and yuzu.

The sign of beauty, harmony, peace, balance and justice. Libra is a cardinal Air sign, ruled by Venus. It was very difficult for me to make a Libra perfume that is not feminine – and it turned out to be quite florl, with tuberose as the key element. When I first made it, I didn’t know enough about natural materials, and I had an exquisite (though synthetic in part) sweet pea oil which I used at the heart. Now it is gone, and it is purely natural. There is no sweet pea note, but the combination of tuberose, rose, tonka bean, sandalwood, benzoin and Clementine is delicate and sublime. The tonka accounts for that slightly bitter-almond like flavour that is not unlike sweet peas.

Roses et Chocolat perfumed tea is our first black tea in the perfumed tea series, and Dawna has selected Fu Hao and Rose Congou black teas (both from China) for their rich, dark, almost-chocolatey qualities. The tea gives an earthy-floral backdrop to the sensational marriage of cacao and rose petals - both organically grown and very fragrant. A touch of aniseed gives a hint of spiciness without really ever being noticeable or recognizable as aniseed; and finally there is vanilla bean, which Dawna says was the one ingredient that really made it all come together. Much like the amber accord in my Roses et Chocolat, which prevents it from being muddy, heavy and dense.

Ethinic ring from Kazachstan, made from sterling silver and a large oval lapis stone. Triangle applique design. Exceptional ring with an exceptionally large compartment that will contain a lot of solid perfume!

This ring is filled with Kinmokusei solid perfume. Kinmokusei is the Japanese name of osmanthus. Osmanthus is a unique Asian flower, with a smooth and rich scent of green tea, apricot and leather. This osmanthus soliflore is unusually dark, rich and complex. It opens sparkling with apricot, peach, wild orange and raspberry undertones; rejuvenates like cool green tea, yet unmistakably smooth and floral. The base is surprising - musky and woody, with underlining leathery note of cured tobacco leaves.

Top notes: Coriander, Wild Orange
Heart notes: Kinmokusei, Rose, Jasmine, Linden Blossom
Base notes: Ambrette (Musk) Seed , Olive Tree Resin, Sandalwood, Tabac Blond, Ambergris

Vintage Aztec poison ring from Taxeco, Mexico. A bold and imaginative design resembling a crown. This ring is a replica of an ancient ring used by Aztec kings to carry poison in order to get rid of enemies discreetly and efficiently... A ring just like this one was given to my grandmother by my grandfather when he came back from one of his business trips in South America. This is what inspired me to start collectin poison rings and fill them with my own perfume creations.

Size is adjustable.

Scropio is the most firey water sign of all. If Cancer is the deep wide ocean with all of its tides and waves, and Pisces is a bubbling brook – than Scorpio is a deep, dark lake in the throat of a lava-mountain, bubbling with heat deep down. Scorpio signifies transformation, and therefore, the essence of lotus is particularly fitting for this perfume. Lotus being a beautiful, pure and fragrant, sacred flower that rises from the dirty swamps of decay and darkness. Other essences in Scorpio Perfume were chose for their asociation with Mars and the warlike qualities it represents: opoponax, choya loban (burnt benzoin), black pepper and blood orange. I also chose tuberose for its intensity and for supporting the lotus flower’s fragility.
