Vintage Kimono scrap pack

$6.00
This pack consists of 4 separate pieces taken from a deconstructed, vintage kimono.

Measurements:
17.5" x 14.75"
19.75" x 14.5"
14.75" x 7.25"
15.5" x 7.25"
That's over five square feet of vintage goodness!

This vibrant kimono was much loved, and the condition of the cloth shows it. Most of the seam lines are damaged, and there are some holes in the main part of the fabric as well. These pieces would be best suited to small crafts or framing as they won't hold up to long-term wear.
(See close-ups for examples of wear)
This kimono was very interesting, because the fabric wasn't traditional, but rather sewn in a manner that made it appear to be traditional kimono fabric when really the main part of the kimono was a single piece of fabric with false seams! (What a find!!)

The fabric appears to be cotton, but may be a cotton blend. It does not appear to be silk, but hand washing or drycleaning only should be the rule.

A little about my process: I shop for kimonos in person and when I find one that inspires me, I take it home and break it down into separate pieces. Just to remove the seams takes me about two hours, but then there's quite a bit of hand-stitching to remove and I give all my pieces a courtesy pressing to fully assess the condition.
The pieces in this listing have been gently steam-ironed and stand up fine to that treatment should you need to give them a once over when they arrive at your house!

OOPS lot of 16 Black Snowflake notecards with envelopes

$4.00
I haven't printed in about a year, and this first batch in that long kind of brought out my rusty-ness, haha.

They look FINE on the front, but I didn't let them dry all the way before I stacked them, so some of them have a couple bumps on the inside left-hand side.
The upside is, that's the side you usually don't write on!

Frankly, my standards of perfection are pretty high - there are three cards in this bunch that meet my standards, but I decided to just sell all 16 as an "oops" lot.

The design is one I carved myself and like a lot. The black on white makes for a pretty, classic look.
Please enjoy my mistake at the very reduced price of $0.25/card w/ 16 white envelopes!

Cards are "note" size and come packaged in a sealed cellophane envelope.

I'm always losing my pins, I have no idea where they go. I'm also forever knocking the little boxes off of my ironing board or sewing table because I can't get them back in that hard little tomato without making a concerted STAB and forego the hassle by keeping them in a box. Well, not anymore. This pin cushion is 6" wide! It's soft enough to take a pin on a light stab and sturdy enough to stay put.

Pin cushions are backed in black canvas and filled with generous amounts of eco-friendly fiber fill PLA made from corn! They're adorned with individually selected coordinating embroidery floss and finished with a handmade covered button in the same decorative fabric.

Vintage 1970s Bag Maker

$20.00
Manufactured by Bagmaker Corp. in Long Island City, NY and copyrighted 1970.

This vintage, mint condition model comes in an alluring avocado green!

Package has been opened, but the appliance has never been used. The bag cartridge is still sealed! The only damages to the packaging are a slighly smooshed corner of the external box, and a small area of the cardboard on the bag cartridge has been compromised.

Contains the original instructions and postcards for reordering and registration.

This model might actually be operational, but it is 38 years old... it functions by "ironing" the bag ends together across a heated wire that also severs the plastic. Hilarious!

You can even mount it on the wall!!!!

Box claims: "Additional Uses - fishing equipment, bulky silver, coin & stamp collections, baseball cards, jewelry, cut lemons & limes, camping supplies, loose tea, opened crackers and cookies, boat supplies, sewing equipment. Bagmaker can even seal SKIS!"

Skis, people!!

It also lists what you can do with ONE cartridge refill (500 ft.) - you can make 200 sandwich bags, 75 STEAK-SIZED bags (which is funny, because the steak sized bags are supposedly 8'x12" - so apparently we're making dinner for Fred freakin' Flintstone over here...), or 55 SWEATER-SIZED bags.

'Cuz lord knows I like my sweaters in baggies!

This is a find for any collector - enjoy!

One that you could fill with all the things you want to say, or affix photographs to, fill with poetry or ephemera... it's meant to be a creative vehicle.

This is a design sample, so I'm offering it for less than the real deal. There's also a small flaw on the cover - in the upper left corner, a small spot of dark green pigment got onto the cardstock.

Signature is 8 pages of standard copy paper, interior of cover is black. Envelope matches in black.

Book will come packaged in cellophane packet, envelope will accompany the book as a loose item.

Black vinyl swallows for applique - 2 count

$5.00
Two matching tattoo-style swallows made from vegan black vinyl for applique on personal or commercial projects. Appliques measure roughly 4.5" from tail to beak on a diagonal plane.

Yes, that's right - you can make something to SELL from these, as long as you credit the swallow design to me by both name and Etsy store. If you have questions about that, just contact me.

FAQ:

Q: Can I trace them and make more items for sale out of the tracings?
A: No, but trace away for personal use - I don't care. If you want to purchase the pattern for your own use, I sell it separately in my shop and you CAN sell items made from the purchased pattern. See the conditions in that listing.

Q: Can I iron these on?
A: No, they're backed with a light padding, not iron-on interfacing. You'll need to adhere them with actual stitches.

Q: Why do they look like they're made of different materials in the pictures?
A: Damn sunlight....

Please see my policies page for information about payment and shipping: http://www.etsy.com/shop_policy.php?user_id=15333

The interior of each card is blank and bright white - the matching envelopes are the same muted red color.
This package consists of 12 cards and matching envelopes and comes wrapped in a resealable cellophane packet.

Suitable for Christmas cards or after-holiday Thank-You notes, these hand-printed cards will brighten the day of whomever you send them to.
