Vintage Kimono scrap pack

This pack consists of 4 separate pieces taken from a deconstructed, vintage kimono.

Measurements:
17.5" x 14.75"
19.75" x 14.5"
14.75" x 7.25"
15.5" x 7.25"
That's over five square feet of vintage goodness!

This vibrant kimono was much loved, and the condition of the cloth shows it. Most of the seam lines are damaged, and there are some holes in the main part of the fabric as well. These pieces would be best suited to small crafts or framing as they won't hold up to long-term wear.

This kimono was very interesting, because the fabric wasn't traditional, but rather sewn in a manner that made it appear to be traditional kimono fabric when really the main part of the kimono was a single piece of fabric with false seams! (What a find!!)

The fabric appears to be cotton, but may be a cotton blend. It does not appear to be silk, but hand washing or drycleaning only should be the rule.

A little about my process: I shop for kimonos in person and when I find one that inspires me, I take it home and break it down into separate pieces. Just to remove the seams takes me about two hours, but then there's quite a bit of hand-stitching to remove and I give all my pieces a courtesy pressing to fully assess the condition.
The pieces in this listing have been gently steam-ironed and stand up fine to that treatment should you need to give them a once over when they arrive at your house!

I haven't printed in about a year, and this first batch in that long kind of brought out my rusty-ness, haha.

They look FINE on the front, but I didn't let them dry all the way before I stacked them, so some of them have a couple bumps on the inside left-hand side.
The upside is, that's the side you usually don't write on!

Frankly, my standards of perfection are pretty high - there are three cards in this bunch that meet my standards, but I decided to just sell all 16 as an "oops" lot.

The design is one I carved myself and like a lot. The black on white makes for a pretty, classic look.
Please enjoy my mistake at the very reduced price of $0.25/card w/ 16 white envelopes!

Cards are "note" size and come packaged in a sealed cellophane envelope.

This has to be one of my favorite Japanese fabric patterns, giant mums and kalidescope flowers in plum, turquoise, lavendar and peach - I love it!

This ginormous pin cushion will hold your whole supply - seriously. I'm always losing my pins, I have no idea where they go. I'm also forever knocking the little boxes off of my ironing board or sewing table because I can't get them back in that hard little tomato without making a concerted STAB and forego the hassle by keeping them in a box. Well, not anymore. This pin cushion is 6" wide! It's soft enough to take a pin on a light stab and sturdy enough to stay put.

Vintage 1970s Bag Maker

Manufactured by Bagmaker Corp. in Long Island City, NY and copyrighted 1970.

This vintage, mint condition model comes in an alluring avocado green!

Package has been opened, but the appliance has never been used. The bag cartridge is still sealed! The only damages to the packaging are a slighly smooshed corner of the external box, and a small area of the cardboard on the bag cartridge has been compromised.

Contains the original instructions and postcards for reordering and registration.

This model might actually be operational, but it is 38 years old... it functions by "ironing" the bag ends together across a heated wire that also severs the plastic. Hilarious!

You can even mount it on the wall!!!!

This book was designed to be used as a greeting card. One that you could fill with all the things you want to say, or affix photographs to, fill with poetry or ephemera... it's meant to be a creative vehicle.

This is a design sample, so I'm offering it for less than the real deal. There's also a small flaw on the cover - in the upper left corner, a small spot of dark green pigment got onto the cardstock.

Signature is 8 pages of standard copy paper, interior of cover is black. Envelope matches in black.
