MILK WEED Mixed Media Original OOAK

Like Blue Garden, Milk Weed is another piece that came from my ink play on transparencies. As I am no Ansel Adams, I am unable to capture, through photography, the life that seems to dance under the pod's colorful surface. Milk Weed offers joy to both touch and sight.

Milk Weed is fashioned from a fiber base, and the fibers that appear to be blowing in the breeze are handspun and handdyed yarns I purchased from spinners here on Etsy. Please forgive me for not knowing who exactly, as I have purchased from many and the packaging is long gone! Believe me, I would love to give them credit, as these handspun batches are awesome!

The stitching was done with a great, metallic green thread, which gives a little bit of shimmer without too much glitz.

Milk Weed is just perfect for those small spaces in your home that beg for adornment!

RUSTY TREASURES A - Set of 4 Varied Note Cards

Ya like rust? Me, too. It’s incredible to me how something that’s basically corrosive can morph into something so gorgeous.

Well, here’s the scoop on these Rusty Note Cards. One day, Diane, my fellow artsy fartsy friend, says we should go and check out this junk shop. What? You don’t like that phrase? Well, let me tell ya – this guy had a LOTTA icky junk! But he also had some GOOD junk. Like the metal dresser he had setting outside. I opened up the top drawer on this FREEZING cold morning and my jaw dropped. I couldn’t stop staring at the details while hoping my numbing fingers would work well enough to get some good shots. I was so happy with the results and I hope you are, too!

Rusty Treasures A Note Cards are printed on 110 lb. card stock and each card measures 5.5” x 4.25” (13.97 cm x 10.795 cm). The images will not run (maybe some occasional skipping, but no running). I left ‘em blank inside so you could add your own message.

Each card is accompanied by one A2 envelope, in white. Yeah, I know – I like colors, too. But the post office deals with white envies much faster than they do with colored ones. And, really, who needs delays, right? Alrighty then, white it is.

Now where was I…? Oh yeah, shiny, crinkly packaging. I then place all cards and white envies into a resealable cello envelope. This tidy package is snuggled inside of a sturdy stiff mailer.

So let’s review. With this purchase, you will receive 4 Rusty Treasures Note Cards (one of each design shown), 4 white envelopes and 1 resealable cello envelope.
