This oval, fabric hanging ornament features a serene image of Virgin Mary in a primitive, Latin American style, think Cuzco or 17th century Mexico. The background colors are rich, sumptuous dark green, burgundy with metallic gold highlights. The back of the ornament features one, large, beautifully-detailed flower in the same luscious colors. The attached loop is made from sheer, silky hand-dyed gold ribbon with delicate gold threads. The dimensions of the oval are 7" high, 3.5" wide (18 x 9 cm), less than 1" deep (but you can fluff out the filling or compress it to suit yourself). The loop is 5" long.

I have also listed a version of this ornament that has a lighter, golden background.

The ornament is filled with fluffy fiberfill so that is super-light.

This ornament features a Nativity scene rendered in a style reminiscent of folkloric Mexican art. In this scene the Virgin Mary and Joseph adoringly gazing down at an adorable Baby Jesus. This pillow features a serene image of St. Barbara in a primitive, Latin American style, think 17th century Cuzco or Mexico. Santa Barbara, a popular patron saint among Franciscan missionaries in the New World, is the patron saint of explosions, lightning and canons. Because of this she is sometimes associated with the Santeria god of lightning and war, Shango. She is carrying her signature chalice and martyr's palm. Behind the saint figure is a background of forest green faux wood, Other rich colors in the pillow are sumptuous golds, mauve, tobacco and cranberry with metallic gold highlights. The back of the pillow is decorated with a beautifully-detailed floral pattern on a cranberry background.

The pillow cover is made from a silky smooth 100% light-weight cotton, washable in cool water. The back of the pillow cover has a deep envelope closure. Great care was taken in matching up the pattern at the overlap.

Frida Kahlo-inspired lavender sachet with a Meixcan folkloric Sacred Hear. "Te Amo Mucho" is written on the banner across the heart.

This lavender heart sachet is the perfect gift for anyone who loves Frida Kahlo, Day of the Dead, Virgin of Guadalupe and other Mexican cultural icons.

The thorn-encircled, red heart is aflame and surrounded by pretty light blue rays. A banner stretches across the heart and declares "Te Amo Mucho". The back of the sachet is a complementary flower or cactus on the same parchment colored background from the same print. See the photos for examples. Please let me know which you prefer or leave it up to me to select a pretty one.

The sachet is a 4" circle (10 cm) and the attached red satin ribbon loop adds another 5" in length. Each sachet is filled with 1/4 cup (50 ml) organic French lavender buds from Provence mixed with fluffy, eco-friendly ingeo fiberfill so that the sachet is light and soft.

Use this sachet to freshen and scent closets, drawers, linens closets, or luggage. It will stay fragrant for a long time but you may also refresh it at any time by squeezing the sachet to release more fragrance.

Frida portrait & sacred heart milagro charms make it pretty as a bracelet but practical as a hands-free keychain. Te Amo Mucho is the message gracing the band. Perfect for any Frida Kahlo fan in your life.

The wristlet is decorated with a detail from a fabulous cotton print, a Frida Kahlo inspired Sacred Heart design on a parchment colored background. The fob is decorated with a slice from the center of the design: a delicate gloved hand holds up a draped banner that declares "Te Amo Mucho" (I love you very much). You see a bit of the deep red of the heart and the thorns in this detail. The print carries on to the the back of the loop with a graphic, green cactus pattern. The hand in the print is based on Mexican milagro charms, so two pewter charms hang from the key ring base, a Sacred Heart milagro and a portrait of Frida Kahlo with a monkey companion.

The loop is made of 100% cotton webbing so it will be very comfortable next to your skin. The cotton print fabric is stitched onto the webbing and they in turn are securely fastened into nickel plated hardware: a sturdy clamp and very elegant oval ring, not the more common rectangular ring. The charms are attached to this oval - a separate split key ring is also attached to the oval and that's where you add your keys.

These wristlet key fobs are great for so many reasons. They're easy to slip on, but they stay put on your wrist keeping your hands free for other things, like picking up your kid, carrying bags, etc.

One of my Three Wisemen soft fabric ornaments in a Mexican folk art style. You may call them the Three Wisemen or Los Tres Santos Reyes.

Gaspar, ruler of the Orient, in gold-gilded robes carries his gift of priceless aromatic frankincense. Frankincense comes from trees grown in Arabia and symbolizes prayer since it was the precious incense burned in the Temple.

The colors are bright and rich, sumptuously highlighted with metallic gold accents. The figure is surrounded by ornate framing typical of Spanish Colonial art .The back of the ornament is a pretty solid green cotton. The attached loop is satin cord in an antique gold shade. The ornament measures 8" high x 3.5" wide and about 1" deep (but you can fluff out the filling or compress it to suit yourself). The loop is adds another 3". The cute, colorful hearts are sewn from cotton fabric printed to look like the traditional, hand-punched, painted tin milagros crafted by Mexican artisans. Santa Barbara was a popular patron saint among Franciscan missionaries in the New World. She is the patron saint of explosions, lightning and canons. Because of this she is sometimes associated with the Santeria god of lightning and war, Shango. She is carrying her signature chalice and martyr's palm.

This oval, fabric hanging ornament features an Cuzco-style VIrgin and Child. She is beautifully crowned and both mother and child have detailed haloes. This primitive style was popular in the 16th or 17th centuries in Spanish colonies like Peru and Mexico. The fabric I used is "Santos", a fine cotton print created for Museo Mundo in New Mexico.

She is wearing a green dress and dark mauve cape, highlighted by metallic gold. The adorable baby Jesus is dressed in brown. The background is a faux wood textured forest green. The whole oval is framed in deep burgundy and metallic gold. The back of the ornament features one, large, beautifully-detailed flower in luscious dark green, brick reds and metallic gold. Angel Bobby Pins - pair of cupid fabric covered buttons on hairpins.

These chubby cherubs are adorable! The little angels have baby faces, an innocent blush on their cheeks and bright red cupid-bow lips. Their jet-black hair is ringed by a metallic gold halo. Their white wings are tipped with metallic gold. The style of these angelitos is reminiscent of folkloric Mexican art.

One pair of fabric covered buttons, 7/8 in. round (2.2 cm), attached to silvertone hairpins, 2 in. long (5 cm).

Notice that the pins are attached in opposite directions so one little cherub doesn't turn upside if you wear them on each side of your head. If you would like both pins on one side or other please let me know.

With a Sacred Heart milagro and Our Lady of Guadalupe medal this wristlet key fob is as pretty as a charm bracelet but is still as practical as any keychain. It is absolutely perfect for anyone who loves Our Lady of Guadalupe or other Mexican folk religious imagery.

The wristlet is decorated with a detail from a rich and colorful Our Lady of Guadalupe cotton print with a lot of delicate gold metallic highlights. The front of the loop has the Virgin from her crown to the hems of her bell sleeves and the print carries on to the the back of the loop with the angel at her feet. Two charms hang from the key ring base, a pewter Sacred Heart milagro and a Our Lady of Guadalupe religious medal.

The loop is made of bright red 100% cotton webbing so it will be very comfortable next to your skin. The cotton print fabric is stitched onto the webbing and they in turn are securely fastened into nickel plated hardware: a sturdy clamp and very elegant oval ring, not the more common rectangular ring. The charms are attached to this oval - a separate split key ring is also attached to the oval and that's where you add your keys.

Soft fabric ornament depicting one of the Three Wisemen in Mexican Folk Art Style. You may call them the Three Kings or Los Tres Santos Reyes.

Balthazar, the Nubian King who ruled Ethiopia carries a gift of aromatic myrrh which comes from a thorny tree in Africa. It is therefore a reminder of suffering but also the holy, comforting balm made from the tree's resin, myrrh.

The colors are bright and rich, sumptuously highlighted with metallic gold accents. The king is surrounded by ornate framing typical of Spanish Colonial art. This oval, fabric hanging ornament features an Cuzco-style angel. Not your typical ethereal being... this angel is ready for action! This primitive style was popular in the 16th or 17th centuries in Spanish colonies like Peru and Mexico. The fabric I used is "Santos", a fine cotton print created for Museo Mundo in New Mexico.

He is dressed in green red and brown, highlighted by metallic gold. He has wings and holds a sword in one hand and scales in the other. The background is a textured light tan. The back of the ornament features one, large, beautifully-detailed flower in luscious dark green, deep red and metallic gold. The background is the same textured light tan. The attached loop is made from sheer, silky hand-dyed gold ribbon with delicate gold threads.

This pillow cover features an image of the Virgin Mary and Baby Jesus riding an adorable donkey accompanied by two saints. The print is a primitive, Latin American style, think Cuzco or 17th century Mexico. The background color is a honey gold tone with a faux wood texture. The garmets are primarily brick reds, ambers and golds, and forest green with metallic gold highlights. The back of the pillow is decorated with vertical bands of beautifully-detailed floral design. The colors in wide floral band are the same luscious colors found on the pillow face. (The actual placement of the stripe will vary slightly pillow to pillow; the photo in the listing is a sample.)

This 12" square, 100% cotton pillow cover features a serene image of the Virgin Mary with the baby Jesus in a primitive, Latin American style --- think of 17th century Cuzco or Mexico. The center of the pillow features a mandala shape containing the figures. The Virgin is crowned and both she and the Child are haloed.

The main color of the pillow is forest green with other harvest tones. Their garments are beautiful greens, wine and dark honey golds. Behind the Madonna figure is a background of darkest green faux wood. Around the central figures the same lozenge shape is repeated, outlined in rich wine and metallic gold. In the corners are beautifully detailed flowers. Other colors in the pillow are rich sumptuous wine and berry reds, honey golds with metallic gold highlights. The back of the pillow is decorated with floral bands of burgundy, olive, dark coral and gold. Metallic gold highlights the richly detailed flowers.

Santa Barbara was popular patron saint among Spanish missionaries in the New World. She is the patron saint of explosions, lightning and canons. Because of this she is sometimes associated with the Santeria god of lightning and war, Shango. She is carrying her signature chalice and martyr's palm. Milagro Wristlet Charm Key Fob - Turquoise/Red Mexican Print Keychain

This wristlet key fob is as pretty as a charm bracelet but is still very practical. It is absolutely perfect for anyone who loves Mexican folk religious imagery like milagros, the Sacred Heart or Our Lady of Guadalupe. Also grand for a Frida Kahlo fan!

The wristlet is decorated with a detail from a colorful cotton print of Mexican milagro charms on a bright turquoise background. I've carefully selected a strip of the print that shows a Sacred Heart and an arm milagro on the front of the loop and a Frida image and kissing couple on the back. Two pewter milagro charms hang from the key ring base, a pewter Sacred Heart and a leg.

The loop is made of 100% cotton webbing so it will be very comfortable next to the skin this summer. The cotton print fabric is stitched onto the red webbing and they in turn are securely fastened into nickel plated hardware: a sturdy clamp and very elegant oval ring, not the more common rectangular ring. The charms are attached to this oval - a separate split key ring is also attached to the oval and that's where you add your keys.

Men's Wrist Keychain - Cotton Key Fob / Key Chain for Men

PERFECT FATHER'S DAY GIFT!! A new key chain or fob is thoughtful, practical, handsome and affordable!

With its masculine colors and bold pattern I made this sophisticated wrist keyfob with the gentlemen in mind but of course I suspect the ladies will like it, too! But note, the loop is a little more roomier to accommodate a man's hand.

This key chain is both practical AND good-looking. The loop is made of 100% cotton webbing so it's comfortable next to skin. The outside of the loop is decorated with jaquard trim in a key design that reminds me of frieze patterns in pre-Columbian structures.

The trim is stitched onto the webbing and they in turn are securely fastened into nickel plated hardware: a sturdy clamp and very elegant oval ring, not the more common rectangular ring. A split key ring is then attached to the oval and that's where you add your keys.

A wrist key fob is great for so many reasons. Hang it on a hook by the door or over a doorknob so you never misplace your keys again (great for office keys at work). It easily slips over the hand, but they stay put on your wrist keeping your hands free when needed for other things like carrying bags, biking, running, etc. Also a great way to bring your keys and wallet into the gym with you, just attach any chained wallet to the split ring!

These little lovebirds couldn't be cuter. It's the age-old story: the little señorita sits coyly on a bench while her Romeo serenades her and they dance away to live happily ever after! Pastel colors frame bright images, front and back. You'll receive all three that are pictured - filled with a mixture of jasmine rice and blue-grey lavender buds from Provence.

They aren't only perfect for use as traditional sachets but also perfect as dream pillows. They have some weight to them but they are soft and flexible.

Mini Pin Cushion. Mexican Loteria Card "El Nopal". Combination of Emery Sand and Fiberfill.

Instead of letting a cactus prick you stick this little cactus full of pins and needles!

The design on the top of the pincushion is the popular "El Nopal" card from the famous Mexican loteria game. The colors are bright green and red on a white background. Red ric rac surrounds the pincushion and it is backed with heavy black cotton. The interior is lined in muslin and it's double seamed for durability.

But the good stuff is on the inside. About one third of the pincushion is filled with emery sand, the stuff in that little strawberry that hangs from the traditional tomato pincushion. Stick your needles and pins in this end to clean them up a bit and keep them sharp. The other two thirds is filled with firmly packed eco-friendly fiberfill.

This pincushion is the perfect size for throwing in a small sewing kit: it's 3" x 2" (7.5 x 5 cm) and about 1.5" thick (3.7 cm)

This is an incredibly colorful ornament that represent the tree of life, very popular in Mexican folk art. Anyone one who loves Mexican folk art, Frida Kahlo, the Virgin of Guadalupe, Day of the Dead, Aztec or Mayan designs will love this ornament!

The colors are bright yellow, green, red, turquoise, and purple on a jet balck background. The back of the ornament is a solid bright red. The attached loop is made from red ric rac.

Ponytail holder decorated with a 1.5 inch fabric covered button. The spider in the spider web on the button is like the one found in the Mexican loteria card game.

The spider is dark, jewel green and has brown legs. He sits in the middle of a pretty, graphic web of ice blue and black on a white background. I have used a lining layer under the spider fabric so there is no show-through from the metal button backing and the colors are bright.

This ponytail holder is decorated with a really big button with a really big spider so you'll be noticed from across the room!

Incredibly cute little devil is the perfect way to brighten up your home all year long! The cheerful design is based on colorful coconut masks made in Guerrero, Mexico.

All the features are delicately printed to duplicate the expressive thin lines in the real cocos. His face is tomato red with highlights on his cheeks and shadows on either side of his nose. This 100% cotton flour sack towel (or some call them tea towels) is decorated with incredibly cute animal face appliques and is the perfect way to brighten up your kitchen! The cheerful appliques are based on the famous coco masks from Guerrero, Mexico. Artisans there are known for creating masks from coconut shells, crafted into charming animal little faces. These "caritas" feature flirty eyelashes with expressive thin lines and lips puckered up to blow you a kiss!

I'm almost as in love with flour sack toweling as I am with the little cocos. Here's why:
* super absorbent
* dry quickly
* lint-free so ideal for drying glasses without streaks
* use to cover dough while rising
* cover warm baked goods to keep heat in but letting steam escape
* wrap lettuce to keep in crisp in the fridge.

The towels are very large, 30"x30" (76 cm). Both the towel and applique fabric has been pre-washed and shrunk so there will be no puckering when you wash them. The appliques have been securely attached with fusible webbing and surrounded by a decorative, turqupoise zig-zag stitch. See the last photo in the listing for a photo of the back of the towel - you are left with the outline of the animals in bright blue. The appliques are placed so that when the towels are folded and hung the decorations are in the perfect spot!
