This is one of my absolute favorite things I've ever made. It's an adorable little jumper, designed to be worn with a shirt underneath. (The shirt I'm wearing in the photo is not included!) It's made from scratch out of a nice corduroy and it's got two pockets at the front, a slightly poofy gathered skirt, and two long straps that fasten in the front with silver overall buckles. It zips in the back for easy on/off.

I've recently become kind of obsessed with researching my ancestry, and along the way I've come across some ladies with excellent names. As a result, I'm naming all of my spring/summer clothing after some of my distant female relatives.

So this dress is named after my 10th-great-grandmother, Hazelponi Willix! (Don't ever ask me to pronounce that out loud.) It's a short, loose-fitting shirtdress made of light heather gray jersey knit fabric. It has puffy sleeves, a Peter Pan collar, and decorative buttons and lace at the bust. It's cute and simple and perfect for the summer!
