make wonderful accents, with dimensional paint for the
nose/mouth (or use more buttons and beads!) Use the chart
provided to make front and back snowmen, or make the
back plain or even candy striped (instructions provided).
App. size using worsted weight yarn 12 x 13". Use
sportweight or even thread for a smaller bag. Colour
changes are involved; bag is made in 2 pieces and sewn/crocheted together.

Originally, I had planned to submit my design to a magazine. However, reading their submission requirements, I read that they wanted yarn labels. Since the yarn I'd used was hand-me-overs and scraps, I figured I'd set the pattern aside, make a new one with newly purchased (not to mention labelled) yarns and then submit.
However, after 7 months of sitting, I felt it was time to offer the pattern for sale myself. I still haven't bought the labelled yarns for the lion!

The pattern calls for worsted weight yarns (when working the mane, an assortment of worsted, baby, sport, even eyelash yarns would be awesome but this is not necessary), and buttons or 'google eyes'. Or, simply embroider the eyes. Polyester stuffing gives the head a slightly raised look. Lion is app. 14" tall by 10" wide, size may differ slightly according to your tension.

This would be great as a Christmas stocking, or year round as a gift bag. Or, stuff, sew the top closed, and you have a pillow! I do plan on designing more animal gift bags/stockings, and if you purchase this one, you will receive a discount on any future stockings in this line.

Felicia stands app. 15 1/2" tall--although she cannot actually stand alone! Made with bright, rainbow colours of orange, yellow, blue, green, red and purple, it seemed only fitting to name her after something that brings cheer. A rainbow after the storm.
Of course, use your favourite colours!

Pattern set includes instructions for 14" tall bunny, plus a 'girl' outfit and a 'boy' outfit, all shown. Bunny in pic was done using KoolKidz, which is a chunky yarn, although I found it to be not much thicker than worsted. I just finished making one with baby yarn, and have a 7" tall bunny, ideal for a wreath or for a basket. Outfits both call for worsted weight yarn.
If you embroider the features as opposed to using beads or buttons, the doll is child safe.

Something Fishy crochet e-pattern for Cat Blanket

Here is the pattern for crocheters who wish to make their own 'Fishy' afghan for kitty.
Use worsted weight yarn, piece will measure app. 36" x 23 1/2". There is graph work involved for the skeleton design, or simply work ignoring reference to colour change for a solid blanket.

Making Tracks to create using worsted weight cotton. You can use worsted weight acrylic yarn, but it's not absorbent like cotton is.
Instructions for two slightly different coasters (tires ran over them differently!) measuring app. 4" across, and placemat measuring app. 12 x 18". Worked following graphs.
Great gift idea to make for Dad for inside OR for a barbecue!

Crochet Pattern, Fuzzy Bunny

I had such fun coming up with this design! After purchasing some yarn from a fellow Etsyhookers Team member ( DebbysAddictions.etsy.com )
the yarn just called out to be made into something huggable.
Fuzzy Bunny is made holding one strand of worsted weight yarn and one strand of eyelash yarn together as one for a fuzzy (yet workable--you can see where your stitches are!) doll.
He sits app. 7" (18cm) tall, or you can sew the legs on in a standing position for a taller bunny.
Safety eyes and nose were used for this design.

As with pretty much any pattern, half the fun is playing with yarn. This pattern can be made without the novelty yarn for a smaller, much less fuzzy bunny, or with thread--always using the appropriately sized hook!
