You remember the movie Charlie and the Chocolate Factory? (I mean the original, not the new creepy version.) I'm thinking of the part where they send a chocolate bar through the air waves and the kid on the other end picks it up right out of his television and eats it.

Well, I was thinking it would be cool to do that with beads (except for the eating part, please don't eat the beads.) Polymer clay beads have to be seen and touched and experienced to be fully appreciated, because the clay, after it's baked, is super smooth, and the colors are so vibrant. It's a little hard to imagine if you haven't had a tactile polymer clay experience.

So...since I can't make my beads pop out of your computer screen (well, I could, but my oompa loompas are on vacation - ever since they formed the oompa union, it's been a real hassle) I thought I'd do the next best thing. For $3 (plus shipping)**, I'll send you 10 random handmade canework polymer clay beads so you can experience them for yourself.

***Please note: this is a made to order item. The penguin in the photos is currently on display at the Palmyra Public Libray in Pennsylvania, but you can have a similar one made specially for you within a day or two. Feel free to request any specific alterations to the design if you like.***

This is a penguin dressed in camouflage that can stand on its own little penguin feet anywhere in the house.

But it's also an ornament - hang it on your Christmas tree, or give it as a gift to your favorite soldier or soldier's family.

It's also a rhythm instrument. Yep, it's got beads inside that give this little penguin a nice, soft shaker sound. How fun is that?

This little guy is made of polymer clay on a plastic Easter egg and measures about 3 inches tall and about 2.5 inches across.
