Suri Alpaca Handknit Scarf

Made with 100% Suri alpaca roving, I knit this scarf to be warm and incredibly soft. Suri alpaca is possibly one of the softest fibers out there.

The fiber for this scarf came from a local alpaca, and was hand processed. NO harsh chemicals were used to prepare the fiber. Left in the natural white/cream color of the local alpaca from whence the fiber came, it will go with any winter outfit.

Navy/purple, sky blue, golden yellow, pale pink and a light warm brown, contrast and play off of each other.

Handpainted and then carefully blended on my drum carder, the fiber was then pulled off into rovings with a diz. Ready to spin with just a bit of drafting. My rovings are not compacted when they arrive to you, as they've already been "floofed" with my drum carder.

Spun on a drop spindle or a spinning wheel the yarn made from this roving will have lots of depth and character.

A good choice for a beginning spinner. Or a not so beginning spinner :)

I grew up outside of Albany NY, and nothing can compare with the fall colors there. I now live in Oklahoma, and surprisingly enough the autumn foliage here is beautiful as well.

I dyed a wool roving in the colors I saw here in Northeastern OK. Russets and golds, orange, apple greens, and many different shades of tan.

The roving was spun up on my Louet wheel, then plied into this large skein of yarn. It's balanced, and soft, and sure to make an outstanding finished product.

Purty Knitting Needle Case - 30 Pockets

I saw this great fabric and knew it had to be made into a knitting needle case... Bright white background with flowers, birds and flutter-bys in shades of pink, brown and green. So cute!

The main fabric is 100% Cotton, and the pockets are pink lining fabric. They're shiny and look great in the case.

Lined with cotton quilt batting to provide extra protection for your needles. The pockets are quilted onto the batting. Top stitched for extra strength, and because it looks good!

It measures 16" high x 20" long when fully opened. There is a 3" flap that folds down to keep your needles and hooks inside where they belong. There are 30 pockets to hold all your needles: double points, straights, circulars, and all of your crochet hooks.

The case is rolled and then secured with a braided length of black wool yarn.

Made from 2 pillowcases, these lounging pants (pantaloons) are so feminine...light green checkerboard with floral motifs. There's a nice contrasting border print.

The pillowcases are a cotton that is sinfully soft and decadent.

Ok, this is the last offering on this yarn.... going into a hat next week if it's still here....:)

This yarn came from 2 different rovings… a natural dark brown, and I white that I hand dyed a bright orange. I blended the two rovings together 3 times, so the colors would mix, but not toooooo much…. I wanted each color to shine on it’s own here and there….

I spun this yarn on my Ashford wheel with a short draw method, and plied it so that it would be balanced.

For those allergic to wool,they can also be made in alpaca for $10.00 more.

Comfortable, warm and long wearing. These can be made with or without a non skid sole.

The pictures are of clogs that I have made for other customers. Just tell me what size and what color you prefer, and they can generally be finished within two weeks of payment being received. It almost never takes that long, but I'm working outside the home again, and I feel that I knit better when I'm not trying to beat a deadline.

These clogs are based on the pattern "Felted Clogs" by Beverly Galeskas and used with permission.

Made from a curtain topper that I found at a local thrift store. It was so pretty that I couldn't leave it sitting there, so I brought it home, and made something useful with it.

Hang your laundry out this summer, and see how much you save on your electric (or gas) bill! It's a great way to be kind to Mother Earth.

The fabric is a creamy white muslin with pretty flowers embroidered on it. I wasn't able to find any stains or marks on the fabric. It measures 14" tall x 12.5" wide. It will hold up to about 50 pins.

It was washed here at my place before being cut up, and for future washing, it would be best to wash it on cold and then (yep!) hand it out to dry!!

The hanger is not included.

This is a capelet of my own design. Named after my mom, the 1st person I made one of these for.

This is hand knit in an exceptionally soft yarn made from merino wool and alpaca. A gentle pink color that will dress up or down equally well. With it's shoulder shaping and delicate lacework, it will go with jeans, a prom dress, or a wedding ensemble.

Made to fit a small to average size woman, the length is 13", the width across the back is 14-15". The capelet ties with braided lengths of yarn.

This yarn is made from a handspun charcoal grey superwash wool. I strung a black thread with tiny silver,blue and copper metallic beads. That thread was then plied with the gray singles. Very time consuming, and worthy of a bottle of Excedrin migraine!

Looks like the stars in the night sky. A truly one of a kind, soft spectacular yarn. This would make a beautiful clutch or small purse. Or, mix it with another yarn for a larger project.

Hand wash and air dry.

Whisper Superfine Merino Rovings

These rovings are made from the softest merino wool! 21 Microns means that this fiber is suitable for any purpose, including baby items and next to the skin wear.

Handpainted in shades of purple, lilac, gray and blues, the fibers were carefully blended on my drum carder and then pulled off into rovings with a diz (made by my wonderful husband: http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=5223690§ion_id=5138056 )

These are exceptionally soft rovings, fluffy - not at all compressed as can happen with dyed rovings. Since they've already been carded, the drafting will be easy-peasy.

Upcycled Vintage Pillowcase Jammies/Lounge Pants

Made from 2 vintage pillowcases, these lounging pants (pantaloons) are so awesome! A white background with the 70"s colors of harvest gold, and a pale avocado/tan....

There is still alot of life left in these pants, but there is some wear. There is a bit of fraying at the bottom edge, and the occasional spot (none bigger than a pencil eraser) that I didn't attempt to remove.

A cotton percale that is sinfully soft and decadent.

All seams are finished with french seaming, and there's a drawstring waist, so you can decide where you want the pants to hang, low on the hips or up around the waist.

Measurements lying flat, with no gather at the waist:

53" around, 26.5" each front and back (This is the hip measurement as well, see pic 4)
31" in length - these babies are for you tall girls!
21.5" inseam.

Wonderful for the summer heat, you can wear them while you're hanging out, sleeping, or let them peek out from under a longer skirt.

These pants will fit a wide variety of sizes, from to small to plus sizes and will look great on anybody. Wash machine gentle cold and hang to dry for best results.

Made from 2 king size pillowcases, these lounging pans are decidedly feminine. A large floral print.

A cotton percale that's soft and comfy. There is a stain, which is in the 3rd picture.

CUSTOM felted wool mohair ballet slippers womens sizes

These felted slippers are knitted with a wool yarn on the bottom and top edge, and a wool/mohair blend for the body. The mohair is what gives them their fuzziness!

You can choose your own color combinations, and size, and I will make you a custom pair. I will ask you for your exact foot measurement in inches so that I can provide you with the best fit possible.

The pictures show some of the color combinations that I have made in the past.

Since they are made of wool, when you step out of the shower and put your damp feet into them, they will form to the shape of your foot. And they will keep your toes toasty warm.

Solid color, 2 or 3 colors, or even stripes! Sizes for women 5/6, 7/8, and 9/10.

Non skid soles are available at no extra charge. Just hit the "buy now" button, and we'll work out all the details! The pictures are of slippers that I have made for other customers. They can generally be finished within two weeks of payment being received. It almost never takes that long, but I'm working outside the home again, and I feel that I knit better when I'm not trying to beat a deadline.
