Here is a plate that has been long in the making. A bowl similar in design to this plate was one of the first pieces I have ever made. I then made a coaster with a similar design. The coaster has been a very popular item and I knew I wanted to make a tree plate. And here it is.

No paint was used to create this plate...it is drawn with glass. It is a sunny day, but a few clouds are in the sky. The tree's greenery is sparkling as it is being hit by the sun rays. The aventurine green that we used for the greenery is very sparkly. There are lots of flowers growing in the garden. And then there is the lake...it is calm, but you can see a gently breeze across the water.

The background for the plate is clear irridescent glass, giving it a rainbow sparkle as the light hits its surface. It was fired three times to fuse everything together, to give the flowers and the lake texture and to give the plate its shape.

All our pieces are non-toxic and lead free as well as food and dishwasher safe.
