Coincidence Hat Pattern

$4.00
Worked in sock yarn and topped with a vintage button, this versatile hat has a quirky charm and a comfortable fit. The deeply textured pattern works beautifully with the movement of colour in the hand-painted yarn, and is easy to knit using two different needle sizes. It requires one skein of Colinette Jitterbug (or a similar sock yarn) and comes in two sizes, to fit head circumferences up to 20[24] inches/51[61]cm.

There's a funny story behind the name of this hat. I designed and knit it early in the summer of 2009, and put it aside, planning to release it late in the summer. About a month later, I visited Wendy Bernard's blog (http://www.knitandtonic.net/knitandtonic/), and saw that she was planning to release a similar hat design!

I was initially dismayed at this coincidence, but happily she and I came up with a plan to release our hats at the same time, and link to each other's patterns. Though they have similarities, there are also differences in both the shape and design details. So go check out her blog and her pattern before deciding which pattern you want to buy. :)

I will email the PDF file to you within 24 hours of receiving payment. Please convo me if you have any questions!

They're fun and practical projects that look great and are easy to wear; I've knit one of each design for myself since then!

They knit up quickly on 8mm needles. Both patterns are offered in several sizes.

Rachael (shown in red self-striping yarn) is knit using chunky yarn, and can also be knit using 2 strands of aran-weight yarn held together. The sample shown was knit in sumptuous Noro Iro.

Susie (shown in teal) is knit using two strands of aran-weight yarn held together, and the edging is knit using one strand on 5mm needles. It could also be knit in chunky yarn, with an aran-weight yarn for the edging. The sample shown was knit in deliciously soft Miski 100% Baby Llama.

Please convo me if you have any questions! :)
Effervescent Cardigan Pattern PDF

$6.00
This airy summer cardigan is quick to knit and easy to wear. The cotton-blend yarn is worked at a loose gauge in a simple lace stitch pattern that resembles the rising columns of bubbles in a fizzy drink.

Optional waist shaping is integrated into the stitch pattern and worked at four places around the body, for a fit that is figure-hugging and curvy. Tiny cap sleeves, a deep v-neckline and narrow stockinette stitch front bands are grounded by a deeply ribbed lower band. The stitch pattern and all shaping is fully charted.

This design knits up quickly on US #10/6mm needles, and is sized from 32-56 inch/81.5-142 cm bust circumference. It is worked using Rowan All Seasons Cotton, or a similar aran-weight cotton blend yarn. It is knit more loosely than the recommended ball band gauge to yield a drapey, airy fabric.

I will email the PDF file to you within 24 hours of receiving payment. Please convo me if you have any questions! :)
