A pincushion in a beautiful thrifted tea cup. This tiny world shows a little russet brown house with a tan roof door. It sits on a hill of over-dyed green wool with a path to the door. There are two covered pin trees that you can reposition for a different look.

The pin cushion is made on top of a solid wool felt ball and is firmly attached to it's teacup. This cup is glued to the saucer. The details are all hand embroidered.

A pincushion in a thrifted tea cup, decorated with a morning glory vine. This tiny world shows a little tan house with a dark brown roof and a red brown door. It sits on a hill of hand dyed dark green wool with a path to the door. There are two covered pin trees that you can reposition for a different look.

The pin cushion is made on top of a solid wool felt ball and is firmly attached to it's teacup. This cup has no saucer. The teacup has a crack and is ready for a new life as a make-do pincushion! The details are all hand embroidered.

Make your own friend Kitty- an eco-friendly girl or boy doll made from a felted wool sweater. Clothing instructions included. Finished doll is approximately 15" tall (depends on the fabric used).

This PDF pattern is 23 page and includes full size pattern pieces for the kitty, written instructions and step-by-step color photographs. It also includes notes on working with recycled clothing.

This sewing project is suitable for an advanced beginner- It uses the sewing machine, some hand sewing and basic embroidery. The clothing instructions involve some simple math.

Supplies needed for this project include- a felted wool sweater, stuffing, embroidery floss and bits of felt, basic sewing supplies like needle and thread.

This baby has pink skin and is sleeping. There is an owl flying through forest appliqued on the front of the "blanket". The background is dark navy blue. The green wool leaves and angora blend moon are from reused clothing and sweaters. The face fabric is new 100% wool felt. Body embroidery is done with wool crewel thread. Robot man has the classic sweet nerd look with his too high plaid pants, glasses, pocket protector and bow-tie. This mechanical man is made from all wool reclaimed and rescued fabrics, combined with vintage sewing notions.

The robot from head to toe-
-his hair is made of reclaimed wool with old brass safety pin eyebrows.
-his head is vintage wool, embellished with vintage sewing notions- bra hardware, clasp, snaps, and buttons.
-a shirt is made from reclaimed fabric with felt and hardware details. Also an old resistor from the '70s. His shoulder joints are made from vintage girdle clasps.
