These critters are on their way home from the city. It's been a long day! They have inspired me to create a mural for our first baby, but for now, I thought I'd share the love with you.

This is an 8 x 10 print of an illustration that I'm creating as a part of a new series. The paper used to create the print is 80 lb. Construction White paper from the French Paper Co, and it is 100% recycled. Each piece is signed and numbered by me.

This series of limited edition prints is made from a high-resolution 600 DPI scan, and it is printed on 100% recycled acid-free cardstock. All of the colors are as truthful as can be. It has been signed, dated, numbered, and it's ready to be framed.

We have a nestful of birds on our back porch, and they're never lonely. Neither are we. Nonetheless, it's always brilliant to see a lonely bird singing his song when you're out on an afternoon stroll.

This is an 8 x 10 print of the original drawing, Lone Bird and His Trees. The paper used to create the print is 80lb. Construction White paper from the French Paper Co, and it is 100% recycled.

I told him to do whatever he wanted with those drawings and now that he has added his thread to my ink, we have our collaboration. This is a hand-drawn screen print that is a caution yellow print on a slate onesie. The onesie is carefully packaged in a handmade box using 100% recycled paper. So tie a bow around the box, and it's ready to give as a gift.

The can collector's poise was the antithesis of the woman passing by with her flawless fashion. The can collector rushed from one dumpster to the next with cans banging and bottles breaking. It seemed like he was running a marathon with a cart. On the other hand, the woman strolled down the street in a nonchalant manner. Yet, I could tell there was something on her mind... some sort of anxiety!

I grew up in Kansas and the state flower, sunflowers, grew wild and always brightened the day. In some ways, my life reflects the sunflower, because it grows tall and mighty and begins to droop at the end of the season when the seeds cause it to grow weary. I created three pieces that revolved around the theme of the Wizard of Oz by L. Frank Baum, not the film with Judy Garland. After reading the book, I began wondering how my life relates to the story of L. Frank Baum, and I realized that there truly is no place like home. I photographed my feet and clicked my heels together [three times], and decided to create a couple of paintings, which related to the story and my life.

I created the artwork on wood that I found in the trash. Then, I completed the paintings and treated each artwork to make sure that it was archival quality. Finally, my husband and I created the handmade frames to complete the presentation.

BRIGHT LIGHTS blind me everytime...

Life is rushed, busy, and bright! Have you ever been lost inside a wall of steel, a place that you didn't know? If so, maybe you can relate to the life of these travelers in a foreign land.

This is an original drawing created on the backside of some matboard. I had just completed matting some artwork, and I decided I should reuse as much of the materials as possible. It is sketched in pen and ink, and I've added color with my Prismacolor markers. The backside is black with graph paper and has a place to leave a personalized note. It would make a perfect gift.

This series of limited edition prints is made from a high-resolution 600 DPI scan, and it is printed on 100% recycled acid-free cardstock. All of the colors are as truthful as can be. Each print is signed, dated, and numbered on the back.

The last image shows a detail of the original drawing.

This piece will be shipped inside a protective plastic bag. It will be packaged between two solid pieces of recycled cardboard, wrapped with recycled brown bags and stamped HANDLE WITH CARE.

I like to take snapshots as I walk through the city streets, and oftentimes those photos are later used for a drawing or a painting. This is a drawing that I created based on a snapshot I had taken a while ago as I strolled through the North End of Boston. Of course, that is one of my favorite places to hang out in the city.

The French Paper that I used for the drawing is 100% recycled paper from the French Paper Co. This original drawing has been treated with an archival quality finish, matted and framed. It's raining today, but it's a lovely spring morning. You see, there is light in everything when you look for it.

This drawing was created as part of an illustration for the Underground Art School Magazine, Issue 1. This is the original sketch, and the submitted illustration is similar but not the same. The original illustration is featured on a full page on pg. 16. Issue 1, and a preview of those pages can be seen in the third image above.

Home with grey skies is always a better place than the most luscious of lands... one with green trees, wildflowers flourishing, and streams flowing. There always has been and always will be something beautiful about home. There is truly no place like home!

I created three pieces that revolved around the theme of the Wizard of Oz by L. Frank Baum, not the film with Judy Garland. After reading the book, I began wondering how my life relates to the story of L. Frank Baum, and I realized that there truly is no place like home. I photographed my feet and clicked my heels together [three times], and decided to create a couple of paintings, which related to the story and my life.

I created the artwork on wood that I found in the trash. Then, I completed the paintings and treated each artwork to make sure that it was archival quality. Finally, my husband and I created the handmade frames to finish the presentation.

People walk through the streets. The flowers either make them sing or the people make the flowers sing. Which will it be?

This drawing is part of the City Scribbles series that I began a while ago, and some limited edition prints have been released from that series. But this is NOT a print. This is an original, and it's rather LARGE.

I created this drawing on 110 lb. French Paper from the French Paper Company. Then I mounted it on acid-free foam core and customized a frame to fit it. It will be shipped to you flat, securely packaged between two cardboard pieces, which are wrapped in brown packing paper.

Then, he was literally struck by lightning and his life has never been the same. In fact, each day he wakes up at a different time and wears a different outfit. Isn't it nice to have variety? ...to simply be different each and every day? Or does change just make life too complicated?

Nonetheless, now it's your turn to give Bennett something new in his life. Take him to a new place! Share your home with him. And allow his changes to become your own.

We have a nestful of birds on our back porch, and they're never lonely. Neither are we. Nonetheless, it's always brilliant to see a lonely bird singing his song when you're out on an afternoon stroll.

This drawing was completed pen and ink on 100% recycled paper from the French Paper Co. I used a combination of fountain pens and Chinese brushes to complete this drawing. This original drawing has been treated with an archival quality finish. It will be shipped to you in a securely packaged, custom-made box.

What are scribbles--sketches?

They're one-of-a-kind drawings created on found paper. I find others' scribbles and transformed them into original drawings. Now, I consider this work a process of "automatic drawing," and some of these works have been become original illustrations.

Times change. Vines change. Whether the vines reflect the seasons of change in a realistic manner or not, they reflect the changes in one's life.

I created the Lady Bird + Lyndon painting as a project for a NPR Presents Poster for The Decemberists. My poster design was not the winner, but I really like the way Ladybird and Lyndon look in this painting, so now I'm offering it as a limited edition print. The last image shows the poster, and one of these images shows the print framed. It is sold unframed.

This series of limited edition prints is made from a high-resolution 600 DPI scan, and it is printed on 100% recycled acid-free cardstock. All of the colors are as truthful as can be. It has been signed, dated, numbered, and it's ready to be framed.

The original is also for sale upon request.

He was staring at this woman in a bar, so I sketched him.
Then I took the sketch from my sketchbook and added a little more detail. He really could NOT take his eyes of her!

This original drawing was created on a sanded piece of pine wood that I had from a recent framing project. (I can never seem to throw those scrap pieces of wood away.) It has been treated and is ready to be displayed. I have drilled a whole in the back, so it can be hung on the wall, or it can stand upright on a shelf.

This drawing will be wrapped and shipped in a secure envelope. Please notify me if you want insurance before you pay.
