Hey guys, I realize it is now 2009, so you might not want a calendar for 2007...

BUT if you are lampworking, you might want these tutorials!

Each month features an artist's bead, and has a photo step-by-step tutorial on how to make it.

The projects range from simple to quite challenging, making this calendar GREAT for beginner lampworkers.
It's pretty neat too if you haven't yet got to the torch, but are curious as to how beads are made.

All artists featured are Canadian, and there are some GREAT aritsts in here, like Alexx Cheng, Pamella Radwan, Dwyn Tomlinson...

Here is a flashy red focal or pendant bead, made with Lauscha red and some black tentacle dotty things crawling up the side.

Here's a pair of sea butterflies that were made for another set....but they didn't fit in.

So they got together and set off on their own to see the world. They look very much alike, orange and yellow with a sprinkle of frit, both are acid etched.

One is a little larger than the other at 1", while the other guy is 3/4". It's more fun than being utterly identical.

Another scupltural bead from my torch....I LOVE this guy. Greeney glass with frits, pinched and pulled into an algae like, flowing form...and for fun, barnacle thingies.

Bead hole runs horizontally (or vertically in the pic where I'm holding the bead), this bead would make a gorgeous focal, or pendant.
