Handfelted headwarmer/ear warmer in a beautiful combination of hand dyed deep blues, violets, teal, deep red and some ochre with all the subtle variations in-between... gorgeous combination. She is approx. 3.5"- 4" (8.9cm - 10.2cm) wide and closes with two vintage buttons that are worked into the felted design.

The best part... I can customize this to your head size. Just take a tape measure and measure around the area where you want the headwarmer to sit. I will place the buttons just where they need to be so that your headwarmer is secure and comfy.

She talked of her train ride last evening and how patiently she had waited at the station. All I could think of was how the moonlight must have looked on her, glorifying this beautiful creature. I asked if she ever worried about traveling alone and she told me, "No". And in that one word I saw the appreciative glances she had gotten from every man and woman on that train.

But I knew, Simone being Simone, that she had ignored them, and stayed intent on watching her own reflection in the dark glass as she sped to see me.

This hat/wrap is a creation done with a combination of techniques.... Needle felting, sewing and hand spinning. This is a dramatic piece that can add just the right touch to your wardrobe. It is warm but light weight, funky but elegant.

The base is a black wool felt that has been needle felted with off-whites, light gray, charcoal gray and black locks and rovings that were handspun by me. There are red coral pieces sewn on in various places around the hat/wrap and on the tendrils. There is just a tiny smidgen, here and there of a deep brown). The overall feel of this piece is very nouveau chic.

The Lock Embellishments, i.e.; the handspun, is the kicker.... i've spun in off-white, gray and black locks which give a sensation of wild curls. Appropriate for long or short hair.

The Lock Embellishment of this hat, i.e.; the handspun, is the kicker.... i've spun in dark brown, green and cream fiber and locks. A 1920's Vintage adaptation, this Cloche has an incredible amount of attitude. From haughty to playful, it can be worn by anyone that is willing to take the step.

The finest wool felt makes this Cloche lightweight. The base of the hat is machine sewn while the embellishments are all added with hand-stitching. Done in a cream color (closer to oatmeal then to snow), embellished with a bronze, black, taupe and cream beauiful woven Deco pattern. The side embellishment was created by me. A black, taupe & cream fringed base, with beading in bronze and black, finished with a vintage button from my collection.

The mannequin head is 21"(53.3 cm), I have a 24" (9.4 cm)diameter and the hat fits, but is snug. I would recommend no larger than 23" (9.1 cm). This hat is a freeform creation done with a combination of techniques.... felting (fulling), knitting, crocheting and hand spinning. The felted portion of the hat is a blend of wool/alpaca. My handspun yarn, which embellishes the hat, was created from some beautiful handdyed rovings combining merino wool and angora locks. It gives the hat the look of wild curls.

A hat reminiscent of traditional basket weaving, this beauty is done in shades of brown, green, grey and black. Earthy and substantial. Deep in the woods colours. Ridges and lacework run around the back perimeter and it is embellished with three tassels. The two side tassels are topped with a vintage button from my personal collection and a silver metal hand cut tube bead.

This is a beautiful combination of hand dyed wool, wool/hemp and a touch of cotton. This combination creates a lightweight yet warm hat. It is one of the few hats that I make that is totally crochet.

This hat is a knit freeform creation done with a combination of hand dyed yarns and rovings and miscellaneous goodness. This is a dark one... like the night.... deep greys up to midnight black, but shot through with flecks of color...it has dozens of tonal variations throughout. The subtleties are incredible! The textures are many.... caused not only by the different types of fibers but by the different stitches used.

It is embellished with 2 large tassels. The side tassels are more like pigtails. This is my own design and was created with my own two hands. The fiber content is wool, mohair, silk, cotton, rayon, nylon. poly and some metallic. It is a one-of-a-kind item made with attention to detail and quality materials.

The hat measures approx. 10.5" (26.7 cm) when laid flat and unstretched. Because of its shaping, it can be worn by quite a few sizes. The mannequin head circumference is 21" (53.3 cm). Please measure your head by using a measuring tape around your crown, going around the largest part of your head. If you have a question regarding the sizing, please measure your head and email/convo me and I will try the hat on an appropriate size mannequin head to see if it will fit.
