This dress from the '80s has the dramatic styling of an earlier age. Snap-in modesty panel (see third pic), but we know that Joan wouldn't have used it. Button front with two hooks-and-eyes. Perhaps worn by a true secretary, there's a pencil (?) mark on the hip; I have made no attempt to clean it off. Like a vampire, it refuses to show up in a photograph. Viscose/linen blend offers the look of linen without the pesky wrinkling. No pulls, snags, or tears; all closures in working order.

As a vintage vendor, I dig through boxes and flip through closets and rack after rack of some unworthy and sometimes downright yucky stuff to find the items that I hand-pick to resell. And then every once in a while, I come across something that makes me say, "Oooooh." This is one of those dresses. Hot pink dress with a black lace overlay and illusion net neckline, draped with a diaphanous sheer black long-sleeved silk chiffon overdress. Third photo is to show the underdress; you cannot wear the dress this way! The overdress is attached at the neck.
No pulls, tears or snags. Stitching is coming undone for about an inch where overdress connects to back. All closures in working order. Dry clean only.

This unusual clutch purse is really two bags in one: flip the blue to the inside, and now you have a bone-white purse instead! 11 inches wide by 6 inches tall. Gold-tone frame and clasp.
Some minor scratches on the frame. Bone surface shows a little wear which I have made no attempt to clean.

vintage '60s gold leatherette L and M 'Glideaway' purse

This gold foil leatherette purse by L & M has a champagne-beige satin interior with one pocket. "Glideaway" handle (Pat 3016939) with gold-tone hardware works smoothly. 11.5 inches wide by 6 inches tall, not including handle which folds flat when not in use.
Foil on handle has started to crack but the handle is not compromised. Foil is also worn at bottom corners of bag. Interior satin is scuffed and has a few small red marks, possibly lipstick.
