Harriet is a rainbow variety cycloptopus. There aren't many of her kind around and there is only one documented sighting of another one. Harriet is unique.

Here's something you don't see everyday, unless you enjoy hanging out at the gates of Hades!

It's Cerberus! You know the three headed dog from Greek mythology. But for some reason he looked like more of a Spot to me, so that's what I named him. And after you name a dog Spot he needs a spot, or some spots in this case. If you ran your fingers over Spot's spots you'd be reading his name in Braille. No kidding!

Spot measures in at a lofty 9 inches in height, 12 inches in width, and 18 inches in length. He's a beast!

He was crocheted with acrylic yarn and stuffed with polyfil. All three of his collars are removable.

The yarn has been handspun by me. The fibers used in creating the yarn are a superwash wool that is super soft and not as itchy as some wools tend to be close to the skin.

Oh, I know you might think it was a mistake that this little stripesaurus has a frown, but really it doesn't come off. he tried to have it removed or turned into a smile or a squiggle or a line, but couldn't find a doctor who wouldn't mess up his stripes.

Alas, Gildar might be happy, but we don't know for sure. He certainly sports some happy little sneakers and some happy little stripes, but his frown still remains. Even if he can't change his own frown into something else he has a knack for turning other people's frowns into smiles.

Howdy folks!

In honor of the 40th anniversary of Woodstock the Plush Team took it upon themselves to set a Plushstock challenge. The category I chose to enter was instruments. I made a big ol' guitar!

This piece has been machine and hand sewn from fleece and stuffed with polyfil. I then added free form crochet embellishments.

The guitar measures in at a whopping 20 inches in height and 8 inches in width.

This is not meant for children under 12. It is a fiber sculpture not a toy.

Goldie was walking through the woods one day when these aliens dressed as bears beamed her up to their spaceship. They fed her some goop that looked like porridge. They made her rock endlessly in a rocking chair. Then they let her sleep only an hour at a time in different beds.

After all that she was given something to alter her memory and she remembers very little about that day. It boils down to four words: porridge, rocking chair, bed.

Now poor little Goldie searches the woods for a house with bears. People think she's crazy and well, she probably is.

Goldie is a completely hand sewn doll whose body is made of fleece and stuffed with poly-fil. Her tank and undies are made from flannel. Her skirt and shoes have been crocheted from acrylic yarn.

Goldie is about 9 inches or 23 cm high and 4 inches or 10 cm wide.

Rynar the Heart Gremlin

Tada! Rynar is the first sewn heart gremlin offered by me. Previous heart gremlins have been crocheted and now you not only have options on size and whether you want to crochet it yourself, but you can get it sewn!

Rynar is a sweetie, like most heart gremlins. They often give their heart away with reckless abandon and despite the risks things usually turn out well for all involved.

Rynar has been machine and hand sewn from soft non-pill fleece which makes him washable. He's been stuffed with poly-fil and made from all new materials.

Rynar is about 14 inches or 36 cm high and wide. He's a big boy.

He's hanging out at my house awaiting adoption.

Turtle Soup

This is turtle soup for the May-June Etsy Plush Team challenge.

We were given an ingredient that we had to use to create a plush food dish. My ingredient was mirrors. I chose to use sequins as my mirror surface.

In the Cajun tradition, my turtle soup is made similar to a tomato bisque with a slice of lemon on top.

The closed turtle shell bowl measures 10 inches in width and 4 inches in height.

This turtle soup has been crocheted with acrylic yarn and stuffed with polyfil. Mirror accents have been added using sequins.

Due to the sequins I do not recommend this for small children.

The squid may have a different purpose for any one that looks upon it. I initially created a green squid for my cat. I put catnip in the open end and he goes nuts for it. Having tested it on multiple cats, I've determined that a catnip filled squid can turn even the most docile feline into a squid swatting maniac.

Squids also make great finger puppets!

Your squids will be lovingly crocheted with washable acrylic yarn. I can make a squid in any colors you choose. Squids are made to order.
