Crystal prisms - vintage Swarovski crystal - are suspended from fine sterling chain in these dazzling earrings. Finished with my signature hand forged ear wires, the wonderful vintage beads feature faceting around the edge with a smooth flat top, and a pointed faceted back - all the precise facets contributing to the incredible sparkle that emanates from within.

These measure 5.2cm or just over 2 inches in length.

All metal is sterling silver.

These are made to order, but will leave within 24-48 hours, just like my OOAK pieces. Differences in handmade items are expected, and welcome!

This year I have decided to participate in the Year of Jewelry weekly challenge. This week's theme was "Stone Age". I did quite a bit of research in this theme, and decided to create an urn or pot shaped pendant, like those that were made in the Dimini era in Thessaly, but as I started creating, I couldn't resist adding a beautifully gemmy prehnite "spear head" which just begged to be included. Hence - "Hunter Gatherer" was born.

The frame of the pendant has been shaped like an urn, then hammered and wirewrapped carefully with thin wire. To that was added a delicious prehnite focal - the "spearhead" - which was attached using yards of wire and sparkling AAA amethyst rondelles. Three plump freshwater pearls - in a wonderful lavender with green and gold lustre - adorn the pendant. A handmade chain of painstakingly linked prehnite and freshwater pearls is finished with a handforged clasp and an extension chain. The entire design was then oxidised and selectively rubbed back, to reveal the textures in the ornate wirework.

This measures an adjustable 40 1/2 - 46 1/2cm or 15 3/4 - 18 1/4" in length, whilst the pendant measures 4cm or 1.6" in height, and 2.4cm or 0.9" at the widest point.

All metal is sterling silver.

Sweet and earthy, the Juno bracelet is largely comprised of generous faceted rounds of rich smoky quartz, which securely wire wrapped together. A Balinese silver bead punctuates the bracelet, which also features a lush mixture of gems - rustic ruby rounds, faceted turquoise rondelles, peacock green freshwater pearls, rock crystal quartz, and a very special copper rutile briolette. Finished with a chunky lobster clasp at one end, and an extension chain with a crystal quartz dangle, the design has been oxidised and rubbed back selectively.

This measures an adjustable20 - 22 1/4cm or 7 3/4 - 8 2/3" in length.

A luxurious 16mm in size, the colour is an amazing silvery-grey - they are lustrous, throwing hues of lavender, seafoam and lilac, and wonderfully reflective (note the photographer has been captured in each image!) Simply wired to generous hand forged ear wires, these are a modern take on a classic look. Versatile, elegant and luxe!

Simplicity itself - an elongated teardrop is shaped from solid 9ct rose gold, then hammered, whilst the sanded tail forms the slender ear wire. Light and comfortable, these are so very elegant, and bound to become a staple in your wardrobe.

These measure approximately 3cm or 1.2" from the top of the ear wire to the base of the teardrop - the ear wire extends a little further.

All metal is solid 9ct rose gold.

Named for the otherworldly Cocteau Twins song - I listen to them often when creating. Evocative of the romance and wistfulness of the song, they also feature a darker - almost gothic - edge.

Stunning AAA grade rose quartz discs - faceted to a point on both sides for extraordinary sparkle - are the beautiful focals in this design. Carefully secured to shaped, hammered and wirewrapped frames, these have been enhanced with delicate marquis cut AAA grade white topaz briolettes - these shimmer so temptingly! Tiny A grade blue sapphires finish the design. Modern ear wires were added to the chandelier style earrings. To take an edge off the frou frou, an oxidised patina was applied and then rubbed back - this reveals the detailed wire work to perfection.

These measure 5.1cm or 2" in length.

I imagine how delightful it would be to forage for berries - the Hedgerow earrings provide all the whimsy, without the prickles!

Focals of lemon topaz have been wirewrapped to rubelite garnet ovals and embellished with further pink garnets and forest green freshwater pearls. These autmumnal hues are finished with my signature hand forged ear wires, and have been deeply oxidised and selectively rubbed back.

These measure 6.5cm or 2.5" in length.

Soft, lush and romantic. I happened to be listening to Sigur Ros as I made these lovelies, and I noticed that one particular song - Svefn-G-Englar - just "felt" like these earrings. I was delighted when I looked up the meaning - it's literally "sleepwalkers". I was even more delighted when I found this amazing filmclip on youtube:

Petite, smooth briolettes of palest blue mystic quartz sway at the base of these detailed earrings. Hanging from columns of wirewrapped white topaz ovals, and topped with ornate Balinese silver ear wires, these also feature sweet wirewrapped charms of freshwater pearls - in ivory and mauve - and soft green fluorite rondelles. These were oxidised deeply in an organic fashion, and then rubbed back slightly. The dark silver is simply stunning against the muted palette of gems and pearls.

These measure a dramatic 7.7cm or 3" in length.

An incredible wreath - vintage French pierced glass in greens with a delicate bisque finish - adorns this beautiful necklace. A squat pink amethyst briolette, a teensy pink topaz rondelle, and a silver freshwater pearl enhance the pendant. Completed with an ornate Balinese silver toggle clasp, the entire design has been oxidised and selectively rubbed back for a dramatic patina.

The pendant - including wirewrapped bail - measures 5.1cm or 2" in length, and 3.2cm or 1.3" in width, while the necklace itself measures 45cm or 17 1/2" in length.

Dramatically fairy tale-esque, The Sunlit Glade necklace brings to mind the lost Hansel and Gretel finding a moment of solace in the deep, dark forest.

The Sunlit Glade necklace features beautiful lemon and lime hued gems which have been painstakingly added to a carefully shaped, hammered, and wirewrapped frame. I used lemon quartz and step cut faceted prehnite briolettes in the main body of the pendant, with teensy sterling rounds enhancing the symmetry and pattern. The wirewrapped dangles feature coordinating prehnite briolettes, teensy citrine rondelles, and sweet carved fluorite leaves - but the unmistakeable focal is the massive 17mm flawless ring cut oro verde gemstone. (Also known as "green gold" - a particularly lime hue of lemon quartz). A substantial rolo chain then leads to a handforged "s" clasp, and a length of extension chain - which is finished with a plump champagne citrine teardrop. The design was then oxidised deeply, and lightly rubbed back to reveal the high drama, and gorgeous textures.

The pendant measures a generous 5.4cm or 2.1" at the longest point, and 4.4cm or 1.7" across the widest point, while the necklace itself measures an adjustable 49 - 53cm or 19 1/4 - 20 3/4" in length.

A truly opulent piece, all gemstones used in the Sunlit Glade necklace are A-AAA, while all metal is sterling silver.

For the Wire Artistes Theme Challenge this week (see my profile for more details) the theme selected was "Spring". I immediately thought of flowers representing Spring, but in particular the jonquil.

Narcissus - or the jonquil - is generally the first flower that signals Spring is imminent. It is also the March birth flower, and it symbolises friendship and domestic happiness. During the Victorian era, when flowers had hidden meanings, the jonquil was said to mean: "You are an angel".

I am absolutely delighted with this piece! I used two frames of thick sterling wire wrapped together to create the outline of the flower. I then carefully wirewrapped flawless step cut golden citrine and teensy citrine briolettes in place - to emmulate the pattern of the jonquil. I used rustic moonstone - with lovely flashes of blue - for the bail, and the "y" section of the necklace, and I finished the piece with an elegant oval sterling toggle clasp. The sterling chain used, has a subtle textured pattern.

This necklace measures 45 cm or 17 3/4 inches in length, whilst the pendant drops 6.7 cm or 2.6 inches from the top of the bail. The pendant itself is 4.9 cm or 1.9 inches in length and 4.6 cm or 1.8 inches across. All measurements are approximate.

Working on this design, I could imagine the eerie London fog creeping into a dark Victorian alley, allowing Sweeney Todd to do his worst. Mysterious in nature, the London Fog bracelet is spectacularly lush, very decadent and eminently tactile.

Created from lengths of textured chain, and wirewrapped rock crystal quartz and aquamarine quartz nuggets, this has been adorned with flashy grey labradorite rounds, dainty violet-blue iolite rondelles, and peacock hued seed pearls. Finished with an ornate Balinese silver toggle clasp, the entire design was oxidised in an organic fashion, and then lightly rubbed back. Glorious!

This measures 20 1/2cm or just over 8" in length, and of course can be adjusted upon request.

Provencal - luxurious mixed fabric ruffled flower brooch with repurposed vintage button

This ruffled floral brooch has been created using many layers of fabric. Colours of mocha, lavender, mauve and ivory combine to create a fabulous accessory with a Victoriana sensibility. Each fabric petal is cut out by hand and then finished to prevent fraying. Carefully handstitched together, a repurposed vintage button has been added to the centre, and a lockable pin secured to the reverse.

This measures 8 1/2cm or just over 3" in width approximately.

My goodness this is an incredible pearl! A generous 15mm in length, in a gently curving baroque shape, the colour of these is a superb ivory white - they are lustrous, throwing soft pastel hues of pink, peach and sage, and wonderfully reflective (note the photographer has been captured in each image!) Simply wired to two goldfill jumprings, and slipped onto a fine detailed goldfill chain finished with a petite spring ring clasp, this is a modern take on a classic look. Versatile, elegant and luxe!

The chain measures 44 1/2cm or 18" in length, while the pendant (including rings) measures 2.5cm or 1" in length.

All metal is goldfill, which is 12K or 14K gold bonded to brass.

Oh-so-elegant, the Cerulean necklace features a breathtaking blue faceted chalcedony focal, which has been painstakingly attached to an urn shaped wire frame. The frame was embellished carefully with wire, and crowned with freshwater pearls and rustic violet-blue iolite rondelles. An incredibly labour-intensive section of hand crafted chain - using lustrous freshwater pearls and wire - leads to tactile rolo chain, studded at intervals with more iolite rondelles. A handcrafted "s" clasp and extension chain completes the design, which has been heavily oxidised, and selectively rubbed back.

This ruffled floral brooch has been created using many layers of fabric. Colours of silvery grey, lilac, fuschia, purple and beige combine to create a fabulous accessory with a Victoriana sensibility. Each fabric petal is cut out by hand and then finished to prevent fraying. Stunning faceted rock crystal quartz - with an incredible mystic coating that allows them to sparkle like crazy - are enhanced with brass and sterling in the Luna earrings. Fine sterling chain, textured brass chain and petite brass hoops dangle from under the gems, while my signature curved ear wires - in a dainty size - complete this design.

Ulthuan - turquoise, labradorite, Balinese and sterling silver ornate wirewrapped pendant and necklace

Named for the High Elves city - Ulthuan - this name was suggested by my Warhammer crazy son. :)

The Ulthuan necklace features vibrant turquoise and moody greys which have been painstakingly added to a carefully shaped, hammered, and wirewrapped frame. A wonderfully elaborate pattern has been created using faceted turquoise rondelles, teensy sterling rounds and flashy labradorite teardrops, while an additional labradorite "clove" shape takes pride of place in the centre of the pendant. A substantial rolo chain leads to a detailed Balinese silver clasp, which has been joined to the pendant using coordinating tuquoise rondelles. The design was oxidised deeply, and lightly rubbed back to reveal the high drama, and gorgeous textures.

The pendant measures 5.3cm or 2.1" at the longest point, and a touch over 4.1cm or 1.6" across the widest point, while the necklace itself measures an adjustable 53cm or 20 3/4" in length.

A truly opulent piece, all gemstones used in the Ulthuan necklace are AAA, while all metal is sterling silver.

Beautiful satin smooth Japanese vintage floral beads feature in these simple earrings. An all-in-one hand forged bright sterling ear wires hold these semi-translucent flowers securely in place, the angular ear wire the perfect foil to the gently curving beads.

Also available in an oxidised finish - see the last 2 images - the oxidisation process changes the vibrant pink to a more demure plum - fascinating! Please note "plum" in the "notes to seller" or the default pink will be sent.

Created from glossy jet plastic beads, creamy glass rings, and a tumble of the brightest yellow bead caps, the Black Daisies earrings are exceptionally lightweight, and very swingy! All beads are vintage, with the teensy canary yellow beads being the oldest component, dating from the 1920's. Finished with my signature hand forged ear wires, the design has been oxidised and then rubbed back selectively.

Beautiful summery colours - rich blues and sunny golds - combine in this luxe necklace.

Incredible quality gems - all AA or AAA - are teamed together, to provide a stunning neckpiece. The centre of this design consists of large focals of lemon quartz. To either side of these are clusters of lemon and azure - regal lapis lazuli, pale oro verde, teensy kyanite briolettes, blue topaz teardrops, and wirewrapped components of golden faceted citrine and button pearls. An ornate Balinese silver bead is then followed by generous beer quartz rondelles, while the remainder of the necklace is finished with organic white keishi pearls, faceted golden orbs of citrine, Balinese silver cylinders, and kyanite ovals. A lovely Balinese silver "s" clasp completes the design, which also features an extension chain, with a teensy sparkly blue topaz at the end.

Simplicity itself - an elongated teardrop is shaped from recycled sterling silver, then hammered, whilst the sanded tail forms the slender ear wire. Light and comfortable, these are so very elegant, and bound to become a staple in your wardrobe.

Named for the glorious dandelion clocks that my kids and I like to play with, here in the Southern Hemisphere Spring.

Stunning concave AAA gem quality rock crystal quartz briolettes are the dazzling focals in these stunning earrings. You can see how they are faceted on both sides (see pic 4) for remarkable clarity and sparkle! These have been painstakingly wirewrapped, and swing from curved and hammered frames, along with citrine rondelles and lustrous white keishi pearls. Coordinating citrine rondelles link this component to ornate curliques of wire, also hammered. Sweeping handforged ear wires complete the design, which has been deeply oxidised and then rubbed back selectively.

These measure 7.6cm or 2.9" in length.

Slender vintage glass hoops - in a fabulous milky pink - are mixed with sterling silver ear wires and hammered tendrils. The glass components are 1920's to 1930's and are handmade, so will vary a slight amount in size and shape. An organic "urn" shape - hand forged and then wirewrapped - captures high quality gems - the focal is a deep chocolate smoky quartz, while pink amethyst and lemon quartz nestle to either side. Above this, a wonderful design featuring thin sterling wire and sterling beads - overlaying a hand formed swirl - completes the pendant. A handcrafted bail allows the pendant to swing freely upon the substantial rolo chain. To one end of the chain, a hand forged "s" clasp has been carefully wirewrapped, while the other features an extension chain of detailed Karen silver chain, with a twist cut lemon quartz bead as a dangle. The entire design was then oxidised and rubbed back selectively.

The pendant measures 90mm (from the tip of the bail to the bottom of the smoky quartz) or 72mm (excluding bail) and 34mm at the widest point, while the chain measures an adjustable 43 - 47cm or 17 - 18 1/2" in length.

All metal is sterling silver (with the exception of the extension chain. Karen - or Hilltribe silver - is a higher silver content than sterling - being 95-99% silver).

This ruffled floral brooch has been created using many layers of fabric. Colours of gold, champagne, purple, plum combine to create a fabulous accessory with a Victoriana sensibility. Each fabric petal is cut out by hand and then finished to prevent fraying. Carefully handstitched together, a vintage button has been added to the centre, and a lockable pin secured to the reverse. The square, curved button is from the late 1940's era - it has been japaned (blackened) and features incredibly sparkly jet black rhinestones studded into the surface. A very special piece indeed!

I am a little in love with these solar quartz briolettes! The shape, the facets, the incredibly organic and earthy colours! - all these properties make for elegant and subtle earrings. These are simply wrapped and added to hand forged organic components and ear wires. I have deeply oxidised these, and rubbed them back carefully to reveal the lovely textures of the sterling.

These measure 6.6cm or a touch over 2.5" in length.

My goodness this is an incredible pearl! A petite 8mm in size, the colour is an amazing rosy copper - they are lustrous, throwing creamy hues of champagne and beige, and wonderfully reflective (note the photographer has been captured in each image!) Simply wired to a clean line bail, and slipped onto a silky smooth snake chain finished with a petite lobster clasp, this is a modern take on a classic look. Versatile, elegant and luxe!

The chain measures 45cm or 17 1/2" in length, while the pendant (including bail) measures 2.4cm or 0.9" in length.

Named for the ethereal Calypso, the beautiful sea nymph who diverted Odysseus from returning to his beloved Penelope for a staggering seven years.

Definitely my most ornate design to date, the Calypso necklace features gorgeous blues which have been painstakingly added to a carefully shaped, hammered, and wirewrapped frame. I used tanzanite rondelles, and iolite and kyanite briolettes in the main body of the pendant, with teensy sterling rounds enhancing the symmetry and pattern. The wirewrapped dangles feature coordinating iolite - but in a rondelle - and also sky blue topaz. A generous London blue topaz - etched for added drama - takes pride of place in the very centre. A substantial rolo chain then leads to a handforged "s" clasp, and a length of extension chain - which is ornamented with more iolite rondelles. The design was then oxidised deeply, and lightly rubbed back to reveal the high drama, and gorgeous textures.

The pendant measures a generous 9.5cm or 3.7" at the longest point, and a touch over 7cm or 2.7" across the widest point, while the necklace itself measures an adjustable 54 1/2 - 57 1/2cm or 21 1/2 - 22 1/2" in length.

A truly opulent piece, all gemstones used in the Calypso necklace are A-AAA, while all metal is sterling silver.

The spine of the bracelet is created using the very finest congac quartz - oh-so-rich, this is faceted beautifully with amazing sparkle and depth. Between each whiskey hued nugget, a small cluster of gems are gathered - rustic onyx rondelles, twisted step-cut golden citrine, sparkly grey quartz, pale green fluorite, mysterious andalusite, pretty pink opal and champagne coloured freshwater pearls. Completed - and accented - with ornate Balinese silver components - this also features a cognac quartz bead as a dangle.

So pretty - and quite girly too! This ruffled floral comb has been created using many layers of fabric. Colours of lilac, lavender, cream, fuschia, and coral pink combine to create a fabulous accessory with a feminine sensibility. Each fabric petal is cut out by hand and then finished to prevent fraying. Carefully handstitched together, a stunning centrepiece of sparkly Swarovksi crystals has been added to the centre, and a small comb secured to the reverse.

This measures 7 1/2cm or almost 3" in width.

This piece began as my version of a beautiful meandering river, but as I worked, it grew into a reminder of breathing, daydreaming and osmosis - hence "Suspira".

For the asymmetrical pendant, I used stick and keishi pearls, cloudy aquamarine, amethyst, fluorite, chrome diopside, and an endless amount of sterling wire. The necklace features kyanite, and a double strand of rolo chain, with a hand crafted clasp completing the design.

The pendant measures 11.3cm or 4.5" at the longest point, and 4.5cm or 1.8" at the widest point. The necklace measures 42 1/2cm or just over 17" in length.

All metal is sterling silver.

Dark Treasures is the name of a tribute album to the Cocteau Twins - who I listen to often when creating. I love the feminine yet gothic feel of their work, and hope this design reflects the nuances of their music.

I have created a dramatic pendant - in two parts - both pieces were created by shaping, hammering and then wirewrapping sterling silver wire of various gauges. The lower component features an incredible AAA grade rock crystal quartz - it is faceted to a point on both sides of the pendant for astounding sparkle. To this was added stunning rubelite garnet carved leaves, and dainty black spinel rondelles - also both AAA grade gemstone quality. Above this sits a flourish painstakingly created with various gauges of wire; this time featuring only the glimmering faceted spinel gems. A textured chain was carefully secured to the pendant - using more spinel - and the design was finished with a lovely leaf shaped Balinese silver toggle. Oxidised to a very dark patina, this was rubbed back gently to expose the wonderful textures created from the special wirewrapping techniques.

This measures 44cm or 17 1/4" in length, while the pendant measures 6cm or 2.4" in height and 3.8cm or 1.5 at the widest section.

All metal is sterling silver.

A Stormy Day - banded agate, freshwater pearls, Czech glass, vintage glass, sodalite and sterling silver bracelet

An eclectic mix of materials combine in an earthy, urban design. The focal bead is a large smooth banded agate, featuring hues of chocolate brown, cream, beige, and soft cream - really dreamy. To either side of the agate are secured three different sizes and shapes of chain - on one side finished with a chunky lobster clasp, to the other side, an extension chain. The additional beads that adorn this design are freshwater pearls, keishi pearls, Czech glass "shell" beads, lovely cross hatched vintage glass and faceted sodalite rondelles. The entire piece has been oxidised - the patina of the sterling matches the colours in the focal banded agate.

This measures an adjustable 18 - 21cm or 7 1/4 - 8 1/2" in length.

Rich, warm, and just a little bit glam, the Harvest earrings are created from vintage German glass and sterling silver. Carefully linked together, the 12mm faceted orange beads feature an AB (Aurora Borealis) effect on one half - this allows them to sparkle like crazy! Secured to a duo of bronze-y brown beads - with a hint of a gold finish - these are finished with my signature hand forged ear wires. The Harvest earrings have been oxidised and rubbed back selectively to enhance the delicious warm hues.

Simplicity itself - an elongated teardrop is shaped from solid 9ct yellow gold, then hammered, whilst the sanded tail forms the slender ear wire. Light and comfortable, these are so very elegant, and bound to become a staple in your wardrobe.

An arresting design, the Freya necklace is quietly elegant in milky pink and subtle shades of charcoal and black. The central - handforged and painstakingly wirewrapped - component is linked to luxe pink opal faceted rounds, and features a glossy black (dyed) chalcedony briolette - smooth and highly reflective. Strands of rectangular textured chain are connected to a handforged "S" clasp with more luscious opals, and a sweet dangle enhances the closure. The entire design has been deeply oxidised, and then selectively rubbed back to enhance the wonderful detail.

This measures 43cm or almost 17" in length, whilst the longer strand (the lower one) measures approximately 49cm or 19". The central component drops (from the tip of the wirewrapped section to the base of the teardrop) 84mm or 3.3".

Alençon is extremely fine antique needlepoint lace, and at one stage was the most costly in the world. The name is taken from the French town where it originated in Normandy, France.

Suggestive of lace, this quietly decadent design features generous smooth focals of AAA rock crystal quartz. The little charm stations are made up of individually wire wrapped freshwater pearls - in a lustrous lavender with green and gold overtones, and a peachy pink - and lovely pale green faceted prehnite rondelles. Accents of Balinese silver, and an ornate Balinese silver toggle clasp only add to the luxe feel.

Musing upon the everyday miracles we take for granted, I thought of the mighty oak that originates from the humble acorn. The poignant song which provided the title of this piece literally came to me the minute these stunning AAA gem quality andalusite leaves arrived in the mail, and I couldn't wait to start work on this design.

Andalusite is a gorgeous gemstone, rich and subtle in colouration - here I have given this "oak leaf" its very own stylised "acorn". A hammered and painstakingly wirewrapped frame holds the leaf in place, while 2 strands of rectangular link chain are punctuated by one section of assymetrical handcrafted chain. An unusual lobster clasp - generously sized, and with provision for double strands - finishes the elegant design. I oxidised this quite heavily - in an organic fashion - and polished it back to reveal the wonderful textures in the detailed wire work.

This measures 43 1/2cm or 17" in length, while the pendant measures 3.3cm or 1.3" high and 3.2cm or 1.25" at the widest point.

All metal is sterling silver.

Named for the Roman goddess of fruit, the Pomana earrings are incredibly luxe and detailed, a decadent addition to any wardrobe that favours earthy colours!

Faceted citrine rounds are carefully wired to a length of textured sterling chain, which terminates in a bronze pyrite briolette, faceted for extreme sparkle. Individually wrapped to the chain are delicate rondelles of tundru sapphire - the blended colours of burnt umber, fuschia, champagne and olivine work beautifully together. From the first day I saw her I knew she was the one
She stared in my eyes and smiled
For her lips were the colour of the roses
That grew down the river, all bloody and wild.

Inspired by the dark lyrics of Nick Cave, the Eliza Day necklace features a stunning gem-studded centrepiece, which falls from a hammered tendril of carefully shaped sterling wire. Comprising of delicious watermelon tourmaline rondelles, and teensy fluorite rondelles, these gemstones lead to a wirewrapped tourmaline and opal component - the white of the opal slightly tinged with lemon...almost tranluscent it's so pale. To either side of the central focal, individual tourmalines lead to a textured chain, which terminates in more tourmaline and a handforged clasp. The entire design was oxidised heavily, and selectively rubbed back to reveal the gorgeous textures of this special piece.

This measures 43 1/2cm or 17 1/4" approximately, while the central component drops a further 7.7cm or 3" (from the tip of the hammered tendril, to the base of the opal briolette).

Slightly industrial in feel, the Signalling bracelet is created from two strands of wirewrapped vintage glass and vintage Swarovksi crystal "cogs". Punctuated with varying lengths and styles of sterling chain, this is finished at one end with a substantial lobster clasp, and at the other with a generous extension chain. The entire design was oxidised heavily, and then rubbed back - this enhances the urban feel.

Beautiful dove grey agate beads - which are both etched and faceted - comprise the focals in this chunky bracelet. Linked together with sterling silver that has been hammered then deeply oxidised, the connectors are simple chain maille flowers created from bright sterling jumprings. A handforged spiral clasp provides a secure closure, whilst at the other end an extension chain features a trio of charms - 2 of onyx, and one wee ruby.

This measures 20 - 23cm or 8-9 1/4" in length, but due to the generous sizing would best fit a 15-18cm or 6-7" wrist - this naturally can be resized upon request.

Beautifully detailed antique Czech glass rectangular rings are the unmistakeable focal in these evocative earrings. From these hang fresh peridot green Swarovksi crystals, an ornate Balinese silver bead, and a tassel of rolo chain. Above the rings, my signature sweeping ear wires complete the design. Deeply oxidised, these have been left dark - in keeping with the theatrical feel - but can be rubbed back upon request.

These measure a dramatic 10.5cm or 4.1".

All metal is sterling silver.

The Geranium Cuff - vintage fabric and lace, organza and sparkly repurposed button

Sweet pink and sage green adorn this hand sewn cuff. A base of vintage green and cream self patterned fabric has had layers of complimentary materials carefully stitched to it - a cream lace, an ivory lace - both vintage - and a modern organza in yellow-gold. The delightful pink and silver vintage fabric is frayed at both edges for added texture. To form a closure, one end of the cuff features a loop of lace, while at the other end a silver repurposed button finishes the design.

The main fabric body measures 6" x 2 3/4", while the length - including the loop and button - is 18 3/4cm or 7 1/4" approximately. This fits my wrist very snugly - my wrist measures 17cm or 6 3/4".

I would recommend spot cleaning only for this cuff.

This piece was created for the Wire Artisan Guild's monthly challenge theme (please see my profile for more details). The theme for January was "Tasty". Being such a sweet tooth, I immediately thought of delicious treats such as baklava, halva, gulab jamun - all the good stuff that contain these amazing ingredients.

A handforged connector created from a hammered sterling silver frame is the central component in this design. To this are secured teensy rondelles of rhodolite garnet and slightly larger faceted buttons of peridot. Beneath this is a decadent drop featuring luminous AAA grade imperial topaz rondelles, and more peridot and garnet, whilst the base of this column of gemstones is a smooth and sensuous rose quartz briolette. Additional sections of imperial quartz, peridot and garnet are featured to either side of the hand forged connector. A textured chain and Balinese silver toggle complete this delicious design.

The necklace measures a generous 48cm or 18 3/4" while the opulent centrepiece plunges a further 9cm or 3 1/2".

All metal is sterling silver that has been oxidised and selectively rubbed back.

This year I have decided to participate in the Year of Jewelry weekly challenge. The theme (several weeks ago now - I'm very behind!) was "Beads, beads and more beads". As this is the premise of much of my jewellery, I decided to create a necklace based on the glamorous - and very tragic - Les Liaisons Dangereuses (Dangerous Liaisons).

A long pendant luxuriously studded with gemstones creates a decadent centrepiece. I started with generous, ever-so-slightly blushing pink opal briolettes, and secured them at intervals to a sterling chain. To that I added more pink opals - a deeper shade, and in a faceted round shape - and teensy shaded rubies - from palest pink to dark fuschia in hue. Added to this was luminous rose quartz, petite mystic grey quartz, and tiny tassels created from scapolite, sterling, and goldfill chain. The luscious pendant was secured to a wirewrapped vintage glass bead - in lavender - and the necklace was composed of toning opal, sterling, and goldfill. A dainty rope-style toggle clasp completes the design, which also features a tassel. The entire piece was then oxidised, and gently rubbed back for a dramatic patina.

An incredibly decadent piece, this is a generous length, measuring 62cm or 20 1/2", while the pendant drops a further 9 3/4cm or 3 3/4" in length - glorious!

All silver/grey metal is sterling silver, while all gold metal is goldfill - real gold bonded to jeweller's brass. All gemstones are A-AAA in quality.

A wonderful mix of subtle colours, and refined textures in these swingy earrings! A creamy freshwater pearl is framed by vermeil teardrop components. These are wirewrapped to topaz Swarovksi crystal cubes, which in turn are secured to lengths of vintage brass coloured chain. The ear wires that complete the design are ornate Balinese silver, which are lightly oxidised.

These measure a dramatic 9.7cm or 3.8" in length.

All silver metal is sterling silver; the gold metal is vermeil, which is a thick plating of real gold over sterling silver; the chain is brass-coloured and vintage.

This year I have decided to participate in the Year of Jewelry weekly challenge. This week's theme was "Bronze Age", and I decided to create an urn, or amphora.

The outline for the amphora was created in goldfill, and painstakingly wirewrapped in thin sterling wire. I then created an elaborate pattern at the neck of the amphora, using a double row of glowing rhodolite garnets, and a glimmering row of special msytic topaz. Beneath this, a row of angled goldfill beads are perched, with a truly incredible carved lemon quartz bead secured in the vessel itself. Oxidised and rubbed back to reveal the textures of the wire patterns, this was secured to a length of sterling chain using goldfill beads and sterling wire, and finished with a Balinese silver "s" clasp.

This measures a generous 60cm or almost 24" in length, while the pendant measures 2.9cm or 1.1" at the widest point, and 4.7 or 1.8" in length.

All silver metal is sterling silver, whilst all gold metal is goldfill - 12K or 14K gold bonded to brass.

Oh-so-dramatic!

These very long, deliciously lush earrings are the perfect accessory to enliven any neutral or earthy wardrobe. At the base of this design, flawless carved black garnet are featured. These gemstones have been given an unsual treatment - the raised leafy design is a stunning reflective surface, and this detail is surrounded by matte frosted areas. A textured chain leads to a twisted cut dark citrine, but between these elements, teensy faceted rondelles have been painstakingly wirewrapped - citrine and scapolite are the gemstones that have been used - the earthy hue has been lifted by the introduction of goldfilled rounds. To complete the look, generous hand forged ear wires grace the Tyger Tyger earrings. Babarel - hydrothermal quartz, pink tourmaline, freshwater pearl and sterling silver necklace

According to the fantastic book I just read; "Mistress of the Revolution" by Catherine Delors, in the Auvergne area of France, a "babarel" is the name given to flowers arranged between a woman's breasts.

A stunning honey-hued hyrdrothermal quartz briolette has been wirewrapped carefully to form the centre piece of the pendant. On one side of this teardrop, a single lustrous pearl dangles; to the other side, a garland of pink tourmaline rondelles cascade from the bail. Toning pearls lead of either side of the pendant to a fine chain - this terminates with an ornate Balinese silver "S" clasp, and a further pearl dangle. Heavily oxidised, this has been lightly rubbed back.

This measures 42 1/2cm or 16 3/4" in length, while the pendant plunges a further 5.7cm or 2.2" (from the top of the wirewrapped pearl to the base of the hydrothermal drop).

All metal is sterling silver.

Exquisite star faceted rock crystal quartz briolettes sparkle in these gorgeous chandelier-style earrings. Leaf shaped sterling handforged components house these AAA quality gems, which are wirewrapped with tanzanite-hued mystic quartz. Surrounded by mystic topaz rondelles and luminous round freshwater pearls, these also feature fine goldfilled chain tendrils. The entire design was oxidised leaving the goldfill sparkling and the sterling silver a matte dark grey.

Dazzling jewel-like teardrops in a wonderful rose pink hue adorn these stunning earrings. Vintage glass, these have a gold foil backing which allow the open teardrop to glow from within. Carefully wired to an outrageously sparkly Swarovksi crystal in silver - these are finished with my signature curved ear wires in sterling silver.

This year I have decided to participate in the Year of Jewelry weekly challenge. This week's theme was "Claude Monet". I was delighted with this theme, as the Impressionists are a love of mine. My mind gravitated towards one of the recurring themes in his later work - the water lilies floating in the pond situated in the grounds of Monet's house.

I used luscious hydro quartz as the main focal in this design, and accented it with lashings of gemstone and pearls. Included are amethyst, sapphire, peridot, prehnite, freshwater pearls - buttons in a peacock blue, a lustrous tan, and a teensy peach seed pearl. These elements are carefully wired on individual sterling silver headpins. Highlighted with ornate Balinese silver trimmings, this is finished with a generous Thai silver clasp, which echoes the water lily shape - it is stamped on one side with a naive flower pattern. "Monet's Pond" is a lovely weight, fluid in design, and eminently tactile.

This measures 20 1/2cm or 8" in length, but due to the generous sizing of the components used, is a little snug on my 16 1/2cm or 6 1/2" wrist. Naturally, this can be resized upon request.

All metal is sterling silver, excepting the Thai silver clasp. (Thai silver is a higher content of silver than sterling - typically 95-99% silver, whereas sterling is 92.5%.)

So very very sweet! - this ruffled floral comb has been created using layers of materials. Colours of silvery gray, navy, ivory and sage green combine to create a fabulous accessory with a bohemian sensibility. Each fabric petal is cut out by hand and then finished to prevent fraying. Carefully handstitched together, a beautiful vintage repurposed deer button has been added to the centre, and a dainty comb to the reverse.

This measures 5 1/2cm or 2 1/4" in width.

My goodness this is an incredible pearl! A sweet 14mm in length, the colour is an amazing black peacock - they are lustrous, throwing dramatic hues of green, purple and blue, and wonderfully reflective (note the photographer has been captured in each image!) Simply wired to a clean line bail, and slipped onto a silky smooth snake chain finished with a petite lobster clasp, this is a modern take on a classic look. Versatile, elegant and luxe!

A calm Autumn day, the air slightly chilled, the sky preparing for dusk. The most gentle of breezes ruffles a lone seagulls' feathers, before he launches into the horizon, over the compassionate sea.

I have used gorgeous tourmilated quartz briolettes as the focals in this design - they almost seem to glow from within. Surrounded by petite, ocean-blue kyanite briolettes and faceted fluorite and mystic grey quartz rondelles, these move freely on generous oversized earwires, the addition of fine chain adding to the kinetic feel of the design. To complete the earrings, they were heavily oxidised in an organic fashion.

These measure 8.5cm or 3 1/4" approximately.

These are so whimsical! Little cephalopods propel themselves through the ocean with dainty sterling chain, and cobalt vintage enamelled chain. Their plump bodies have been created using freshwater pearls, sterling discs and teensy - but vibrant - rubies. A vermeil disc sits above the chain, the gold providing a lovely contrast to the bright sterling. Handforged sterling ear wires complete the design. Petite, and oh-so-sweet!

These measure 7.4cm or 2.9" in length.

All silver is sterling silver, the gold disc is vermeil - 18K thickly plated over sterling, and the cobalt chain is vintage enamelled.

Romantic layers of Chinese brocade and delicate organza are combined to create this beautiful brooch. The brocade has a base of petal pink, with details in gold and coral - the organza is in complimentary lilac and light gold. Each fabric petal is cut by hand and then finished to prevent fraying. Carefully handstitched together, a sweet detailed white button has been added to the centre, and a lockable pin to the reverse. Perfect as a brooch, the pin allows this to be added to a headband, or simply use a length of ribbon to create a lush corsage.

Lakshmi is the Hindu goddess of wealth - both physical and spiritual wealth. Her devotees worship her for her grace, beauty and charm. She also represents fertility, light, generosity and courage - a benign and loving deity.

These decadent earrings have been created around the light blue chalcedony coins. A frame of wire, which was wrapped with rubies, houses two tiers of fine sterling chain, with additional mini tassels of chain to either side of the design. Violet-blue petite briolettes of iolite swing next to teensy coordinated rubies, which punctuate the sweeping tendrils of chain. My hand forged ear wires complete the elaborate design, which has then ben oxidised heavily, and rubbed back lightly.

This extravagent design measures 8.1cm or 3.2".

Another design in the exploration of the "Urban" theme.

A stunning cluster of sterling chain, in various lengths and textures, is enhanced by incredible droplets of rhodo quartz. This cascade is topped by an ornate Balinese silver bead cap, and has been carefully wirewrapped in such a way that the pendant can swing freely on the textured sterling chain. Two faceted wheels of onyx are attached to the chain, and an elaborate Balinese silver "s" clasp - with a dainty inlaid pearl - completes the design. The entire piece has been oxidised. I love the juxtaposition of the darkened, urban finish of the sterling, against the refined and feminine rhodo quartz teardrops.

The pendant measures 8.4cm or 3.3 inches in length, whilst the necklace measures 46cm or 18" in length.

Blireana - prasiolite, peach moonstone and sterling silver necklace

A delightful - and unusual - prasiolite (green amethyst) pod, graces this delicate necklace. Beautifully carved, the pod pendant is flattened on one side - I have balanced this out by adding more individually wire wrapped peach moonstone rondelles to one side of the pendant than the other, the nude toned gemstones spilling organically down the side of the pendant. Simply strung on fine sterling chain, a hand forged clasp and length of extension chain complete the design. The Blireana necklace has been oxidised to highlight the gorgeous colours used; this also gives the piece a slightly Victoriana feel.

The necklace measures an adjustable 52 - 54cm or 20 1/2 - 21 1/4" in length approximately, while the dainty pendant is 3.2cm or 1.3" in length.

With chaos reigning supreme in my life at the moment, it was a delight to create "Geo" - my contribution to the Wire Artisan Guild's weekly theme challenge, which was "Squares and Circles".

"Geo" was created around a chalcedony druzy pendant - which has a special titanium coating on one side - this has been organically wirewrapped together with glistening black diamonds, glowing facetted carnelian cubes, and facetted rock crystal quartz wheels - these have a special "mystic" finish which ensures they have extra sparkle. All of these magic components were wire wrapped onto curved and hammered sterling wire, and attached to lengths of textured wire. This is completed with a chunky lobster clasp, and further accents of rock crystal and carnelian. The entire piece has been oxidised naturally for easy care and high drama.

Fully adjustable, this measures 53 cm or 21 inches in length at the full extent - the length can be shortened by attaching the lobster clasp to any link in the chain.

All metal is sterling silver.

Juno - smoky quartz, Balinese and sterling silver earrings

Sweet and earthy, the Juno earrings feature generous faceted rounds of rich smoky quartz, which are topped by Balinese silver bead caps. Wire wrapped around the tip of the gem and silver component, these are finished with my signature curved ear wires in sterling silver. The design has been oxidised and rubbed back selectively.

These measure 4.5cm or 1.8" in length.

All metal is sterling silver.

These are made to order, but will leave within 24-48 hours, just like my OOAK pieces. Differences in handmade items are expected, and welcome!
