This is a handmade mixed media doll made by me, mixed media Artist Danita... Rummaging trough my drawers I found those thread spools I bought some time ago. I decided to make something beautiful from them and they are dolls now. =)

This doll measures 3.5 inches tall, with her head hand painted with lots of detail on her expressive eyes. The thread spool was decoupaged with pieces of paper from vintage spanish books from the early 20th Century.

Inspired by one of my favorite paintings, "The Music Maker" I decided to take on the musical theme again. I Found vintage music sheets on one of my trips to bookstores and put the to a good use.

The rich background notes from a book from the early 20th century blended in perfectly with the theme and were collaged along patterned papers and pencil lines for a beautiful effect.
