Wanda's hips are so wide she's taken on airplane proportions...baby got back.

Wide Load Wanda was created with a Danish Modern teak tray, vintage toy wooden bottles, old tin of salve, vintage doll arms and a very old cool ridged alarm clock head that's removable. She's red, green and yellow wood and tin. Wanda is not incredible stable. She stands up fine, she just a bit tipsy getting there...kind of like she's had a couple drinks:) She would do best displayed on a solid surface (she's been on a built in bookcase at my house and has never fallen over.) Wanda is almost 10" tall and 18" wide, she's named, signed, dated and number 142 in the series of 1000 Pieces. Thanks!

He has a vintage car turn signal beak, toy wooden bowling pin legs, old wood doorknob and a vintage hammer. I'm assembling my tools, it's officially a sickness...

Global Poultry is made to hang from two nails under his hammer head or could be leaned up against a wall. He measures 17 1/2" tall by 6" wide and sticks out from the wall about 7 1/2"

9 Lives Cat was made on 9/9/09 in celebration of the magical number day and what would have been my parents 59th anniversary. He was created with antique tins, the largest was chocolates, ginger candies and the smallest some kind of pills. His body frame underneath is a vintage wooden toy, he has silver tart tin feet and an antique crystal lamp part neck. His head is a 1940's clock and is not attached so he can be posed. 9 Lives Cat measures 8" wide by 14 1/2" tall. He's named, signed, dated and number 128 in the series of 1000 Pieces. Thanks.

The Nok-Out couple were created with vintage 1940's and 50's Playskool Nok-Out toys, (those annoying hammering toys no one makes anymore cause Moms aren't on Valium) vintage shoe stretchers, vintage yarn spools, old croquet ball and bowling pin, globe and tambourine. The heads are not attached so they can pose for paparrazzi and gaze longingly into each others eyes (he has kinda a blank expression tho.) Mr Nok-Out has a removeable bowling pin weiner for long distance relationships or people who prefer anatomically incorrect sculptures. Sexy Centaur Boy is my version of the mythical creature with the head, arms and chest of a man but the legs and lower half of a horse. He was created with vintage toy bowling pins, old doll arms, bishop chess piece tail, vintage blocks and a very cool handmade folk toy rattle with a wood ball inside. The rattle is made with half light wood and half dark and spins in the block base so he can pose and look around. Centaur Boy measures 17 1/2" tall by 5 1/4" wide. It's a wall piece constructed with an old wooden cigar box that lost it's lid in a freak assemblage accident :) I've embellished the box with a page from an old calligraphy book, carved wood praying or in this case clapping hands, vintage toy bowling pins and a 1940's car clock. Box House is the 4th in the house on legs series that I can't seem to stop making. It's a female house figure enclosed in a box..hey this sounds familiar. It's a vintage wooden cigar box with a vintage cast iron house on old game part legs with a vintage alarm clock head. The inside of the box is covered with a vintage map of Germany. She measures 11 1/4" by 7 1/2" and is named, signed, numbered and dated on the back. She hangs on the wall by two hangers mounted on the top and is heavy weighing 3 1/2 pounds.

Poker Party Patty comes chock full of cool vintage poker chips that can be easily dumped out and used for the big game. Her head isn't attached so you just remove it, take off the lid and pour them out. This listing is for Patty only, the other two in the pic have sold.

She was created with a bulbous coffeepot with a sassy arm handle, striped poker chip legs, a gazillion poker chips in her belly and a vintage orange croquet ball. Patty measures 11 1/2" by 9" and weighs over 3 lbs. She's named, signed, dated and number 66 in the series "1000 Pieces." Only 934 left to go....WTH was I thinking?

This is Jocko, he's friends with Hunchback Boy seen here http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=23166845 cause you know when you have a hunchback you need all the friends with hunchbacks you can get. Jocko is meant to hang on the wall but also leans nicely if you'd rather he stand on a shelf. He was created with a vintage 1950's or 60's Jocko the Clown pinball game, his body is cut from MDF board requiring me to use power tools which is always a danger to myself and others :) I've covered his pants with a vintage map of Europe, his head is a vintage croquet ball cut in half (talk about dangerous :) Jocko measures 20" tall by 10 1/2" wide is named, signed, dated and #125 in the series of 1000 Pieces. Orange crush is a cool rocket robot created with a vintage Dazey Ice Crusher, an old bakelite red and white dot poolball and a vintage french silver tart tin. He is still functional you just lift the lid, drop in the ice and crank away on his one arm. The orange section unscrews to pour out the ice. His head isn't attached and he can look around and pose. He stands 13 1/2" tall and is heavy, the top of him is solid metal. Thanks!

The carnival freak show obsession continues with Hunchback Boy, I'm told he's lovable, huggable even. Some chicks like hunchbacks I guess...Tess.

So, his body is an vintage Wolverine metal and plastic Circus pinball machine with excellent old graphics. It's non functioning (the plunger deal doesn't pull back to shoot the balls) and has some cracks but it's very cool anyway. He has a vintage yellow croquet ball head and bright blue polka-dot pants. Hunchback Boy measures 17" tall by 10 1/2" wide, he's named, signed, dated and number 91 in the series of 1000 Pieces.

Egg Salad Sally was inspired by two hillbilly encounters I had yesterday. Truly I have no ill feelings toward these people but sometimes it's like being on another planet. The first was at the scrapyard, an old chevy van backed up next to me and started to unload a giant amount of rusty metal objects and gross old appliances. Along with all the metal out spilled two toddlers oblivious to the dangers of being barefoot in a scrapyard. Their smoking Mama didn't seem to notice either. This old copper stew pot came from that family, it has a forged rusty iron handle and some nice copper patina.

The second encounter was at the post office where an old hillbilly man who I developed a crush on was asked the usual "anything liquid, fragile or hazardous question?" and he replied "That there's just a big ol box ah eggsalad." He thought his joke was pretty funny and continued to ramble on about the dangers of egg salad in the mail, spoilage and all.

Maw is a hillbilly coffee mug babe and #51 in the series of 1000 Pieces. I collect these mugs but lately my collections seem better off as sculptures. She has a vintage bakelite # 14 poolball head that is not attached so she can pose, dice legs and vintage wooden domino feet. These ceramic mugs were sold in souviner shops in the 50's depicting hillbilly life but were made in Japan. Maw wants to live in your kitchen, she's signed, dated, numbered and one of a kind. The Sentinel is ready to watch over things at your house...

Sentinel is number 44 in the 1000 Pieces series and was created with an art deco Sentinel brand alarm clock and vintage wooden display hand. It's a wall piece and can be hung from a hole in the back of the clock. The non working clock has very cool deco numbers on it and the old hand is painted gold with some orange showing thru in places. Sentinel is named, signed and numbered on the back of the clock.

For some unknown reason I have alot of vintage metal trophy tops and decided to make some awards for those who feel they deserve a trophy without going to the trouble of participating in a sport or doing anything great. Maybe you were always picked last in Gym class? Those people all deserve a trophy...
