Lastly, the smallest feathers, .625"/18mm, have a rich verdigris patina. The aged patina of the silver provides a complementary contrast.

A detailed brass flower - centered with a hammered nugget of silver - sits atop a handformed and hammered sterling silver band.

The flower measures 20mm/.875" in diameter and the band has a width of approximately 2mm.

I've oxidized and sanded the ring to highlight the mix of textures, (and although I've sealed the flower with clear coats of lacquer, the patina is best protected from water.)

A filigree brass feather, accented with a plump freshwater pearl (5mm) on a heatformed sterling pin, hangs from fine brass chain.

I've given the feather a verdigris patina, worthy of a peacock, and sealed with wax. (The feather measures 1.5" x .75" / 38x25mm).

The necklace closes with a handcrafted sterling hook and eye clasp, oxidized along with the other sterling components for contrast, and accented with the tiniest of brass beads.

Delicately detailed, full of texture and contrast, the necklace measures 18.5"/47cm in length. (Let me know if you'd like a shorter length!)
