Team Jacob? Team Switzerland! This batt is for you! A brown alpaca for Jacob, red wool for Edward.
Note- the alpaca has some VM in it STILL. Most of it will fall out as you spin.
4 oz Wool, mohair, alpaca

Twilight themed batt:
I was inspired by the Twilight Saga. I love it.
Perfect Learn to Spin Kit- A sampler of wools

$35.00
I have been refining my “Largest Kit You Will Ever See” and I think I have perfected it! Now, instead of large amounts of wool which may be difficult to fit on a drop spindle when spun, you get smaller amounts- easy to fit on a spindle-but more kinds!

This Kit contains:
2 oz of a beginning fiber-it keeps changing (depending on my supply) but will be marked for you
2 oz white Romney
2 oz white Merino
2 oz white Bluefaced Leicester
2 oz white Superwash Merino
2 oz white Corridale
2 oz white mill ends
2 oz colored batt
(a whole pound of wool!)
1 top/ bottom spindle
All original instructions sent as a pdf file via email

This kit contains a pound of fibre! You have some fiber to get started on (so you can totally torch it and not worry!). Then you have a wide sampling of fibers. 2 oz is almost the perfect size for drop spindling. You divide the roving into two equal pieces, spin up one, then the other, then ply them together, and kapow! YARN!

The fibers are undyed so that you can dye them to your own color scheme. Dying instructions included. The batts will vary in color from the one pictured.

The spindle is just plain and unfinished to let you decide what your spindle will look like. The spindle weighs about 1.5 oz, is 12 inches long, and has a whorl that is about 2 1/4 inches across. There is a hook on both the top and the bottom of the spindle so it can be used as both a top and a bottom whorl spindle. I learned to spin on a bottom whorl spindle but I find I like the top whorl spindles the best. The pictures in the instructions show the spindle used as a top whorl.

This kit comes with all original instructions with all original pictures. I've worked really hard refining and photographing. In fact, I have refined the instructions a little more to fit with this kit! Instructions are sent via email as a PDF file.

THIS KIT IS MORE EXPENSIVE THAN MANY OTHER KITS BECAUSE OF THE MASSIVE AMOUNT OF FIBER!! Don’t let price discourage you; this is an awesome kit that you WILL NOT regret!

Come join us on Ravelry! http://www.ravelry.com/groups/learn-to-spin-with-lamina

$60.00
I made this corset for myself, but I've already lost weight so it doesn't fit any more. My loss is your gain!
It is based on an over bust pattern but the bust area has been cut out so now it's an under bust (though it sits higher in the back than a traditional under bust). It is zippered in the front rather than a traditional busk. It has 34 brass grommets up the back. Black ribbon to tie the corset closed is included. 12 sprung steel bones give it shape but will not give you a tight laced shape. The bones have been hand cut and the ends have been capped. The fabric is a cotton blend with orange and red flames (so cool!) and line with a black cotton blend. There is no middle layer- so again, this is more for fashion than for tight lacing. I really wish I could keep it!
You want your measurements to be about 2 inches bigger than the corset.
35.5 inches under bust
31.5 inches around waist
38.5 inches around hips
The front of the corset is 15 inches tall, the back is about 14 inches.
The first photo is the front of the corset, the second is the back. Yes, it's too big for my dress form. The third pict shows the front and the zipper. The fourth is the inside lining and the edging and some of the fluff on it. *facepalm* The last picture is a close up of the hand stitching job of the edging. I'm pretty proud of it, the stitching is almost invisible!
I wish I had taken better notes, but I believe this was made as a size 18 or 16 with a c cup- though don't base your purchase on that!!!
The corset is machine washable but I recommend hand washing.
PLEASE DOUBLE CHECK YOUR MEASUREMENTS AS I WILL NOT ACCEPT A RETURN ON THIS ITEM!! Feel free to convo with any questions you may have.

Tubular Sock Blank

$10.00
Sock blanks are great. Two strands of sock yarn have been knit together, here in a tubelike a sock. You dye the blank, unravel it, and knit up two wacky matching socks! This blank was knit on my antique sock knitting machine so it is it a tube. You can lay it flat so both sides match or put something in the middle (I've used a saran wrap covered cardboard tube) and make the pattern different as you go around.
This listing is for a sock blank with PANDA as your base yarn. Panda is 60% Superwash Wool/30% Bamboo/10% Nylon, so it won't shrink or felt (much) in the wash, it's SOFT, wears well, and has antibacterial properties so your socks won't stink. Or so they say.
The blank weighs approximately 100 grams which is 420 yards. It's totally enough to make a pair of socks!
The blank has a waste yarn on the ends to keep it from raveling. Do treat it fairly gently, they are live knitting stitches. I've never had it bleed on me, but if you are worried I can find a different color, a white, or an acrylic to use. Not a problem!
Your blank will also come with helpful hits on dyeing and unraveling.
Rather than just eat it all, I let it inspire me and make fibery things!
This is 2oz of a wool/mohair roving, dyed to be inspired by candy corn! My idea was to split the roving, spin up each section, ply them together, and knit a candy corn hat! I'm not quite sure if the colors are exactly right for that, and the yellow ran a little (curse you crazy yellow!) but it still makes me smile. I'm probably going to knit up a hat anyway.

PRICED REDUCED TO CLEAR OUT!

Learn to Spin Kit with Small Sampler and Original Instructions RESERVED

$15.00
THIS KIT IS RESERVED FOR sbankston.
I've tweaked this kit a little to make it more useful and just as affordable.
This is a very Basic Learn to Spin Kit with a sample of wool.

Your kit contains:
1 top/bottom drop spindle
2 oz of beginning fiber
2 oz of a basic fiber (like romney, corridale)
2 oz of a luxury fiber (like BFL or superwash)
Original Instructions (they aren't pictured because they are sent via email.)

You have some fibre to get started on (so you can totally torch it and not worry). You then have two smaller bits of different fibers. I find smaller amounts like this are a little easier on a drip spindle. Then you can also sample the fibers to see what you like. The top is undyed so that you can dye it to your own color scheme. Dying instructions included.

The spindle is just plain and unfinished to let you decide what your spindle will look like. The kit comes with a top/bottom spindle. These are SUCH a great idea, you can learn on both a top AND a bottom spindle with out having to buy more. I learned to spin on a bottom whorl spindle but I find I like the top whorl spindles the best.

This kit comes with all original instructions with all original pictures. Instructions are sent via email as a PDF file. These instructions are what makes this kit different. The instructions included in your kit were written by me. They included lots of hits, helps, and PHOTOS!!

I have many different types and styles of learn to spin kits. Look around and find one that makes you happy!
Octopus' garden sounds nice. Greens, purples, and blues. While these are a set, the two batts are not 'the same'. Will make for some great color shifts or plyed yarn!
These bats are a full 4 oz, which is a good average for making socks. (It comes as two 2 oz batts) They are made from a blend of 75% superwash wool and 25% nylon. The superwash wool keeps your feet warm and insulated but will not felt in the wash. The nylon gives the socks strength. The nylon I use is also super sparkly so it will add a great flash to your socks! The nylon has also been dyed to match the wool. I have spun socks up with both a two ply (spin one batt, spin the other batt seperatley, ply together) and the traditional 3 ply (spin both batts into one yarn, navajo ply) and been happy with both.
Of course you could use this yarn for something other than socks. But know that it will not felt, so don't make that felted hat with it!

Love this batt but don't spin? Contact me, and we can talk about rates- I'd be happy to spin it for you.
Have a great sock batt in mind?
Spin Your Own Socks Socks In 3-D

$25.00
3-D just isn't what it used to be. Now we get gray glasses instead of those neat blue and red ones? Psh. On a recent trip to the movies, we got a pair of old school 3-D glasses on the kid's snack pack. Not only were they great for looking at the 3-D picts on the box, they make awesome sunglasses. Or so says my 2 year old. One red batt, one blue. With reds, blues, purples and yellows.
It appears I took picts of the batts separately. You get them both. In the same bag. I promise. It appears I was having a rough photo day.
This batt set leans more twards the two ply.
Of course you could use this yarn for something other than socks. But know that it will not felt, so don't make that felted hat with it!

Love this batt but don't spin? Contact me, and we can talk about rates- I'd be happy to spin it for you.
Have a great sock batt in mind? Contact me, I'd be happy to bring it to life for you!
Someone will love it- is it you? I must admit the thought of having monster socks makes me kinda happy.... Greens, reds and yellows well blended.
It appears I only took a picture of one batt. You get two, I promise.

I'm so excited to be offering sock batts!
