Meet Zeker Zebra. He's soft and gentle, and loves nothing more than to curl up in a good book. He has a frisky side though so watch out!

This rubber stamp is one of my favorites, because it's a replica of one of my vintage type/letterpress blocks.
I love my letterpress blocks, but theyre very difficult for every day use, because theyre made with either wood or metal and most often they need a press and different types of ink.
But now he can be used with a regular inkpad!

Remember snatching bits of unbaked cookie dough out of one of one of these?
Waiting for the perfect but rare opportunity, when Mom or Grandma wasn't looking, (because she'd caution you about there being raw eggs and all) and the beater had to be in just the right spot so that your fingers wouldnt get snapped!

I decided to do a little series of stamps based on quirky appliances that I remember being in my grandma's kitchen when I was little.

There's something nostalgic about being sleepy eyed and nose level with grandma's shiney toaster waiting for the *pop*, while the smell of coffee and bacon linger in the air. Sigh. Breakfast at grandma's was like none other.
