This is my tribute to spot illustrations & limited colour palettes. My celebration of halftones, ink & paper. This is the story of my life. This is everyone’s biography…all the little things that make a life. Flotsam & jetsam. Artefacts. The worthless things that we make precious. The things we hang our memories on. The insignificant things that become symbolic. The things we box up in our brain’s dusty attic. The contents of the bottom drawer, stuffed under the bed, in the back of the closet, in the spare room, in our pockets. Stuff.

This is ‘Stuff No.1’ the first in a series of limited edition prints. Screenprinted with a Print Gocco on white card, the printed area measures 4x6” (10x15cm) & the sheet size is 4-5/8x6-1/4” (11.7x16cm).

I drew each little image, starting off with pencil on paper, then I digitally “inked” it, & hand-printed it with indigo & orange inks. The print comes signed & hand-stamped with the edition number. It’s from an edition of 200 only - the screens have been destroyed.

Please note: Due to the fact that they're hand-printed, there may be some minor variations between prints.

Original Collage - Magic Circles No. 10

An original collage made up of all kinds of circular bits of paper joy! Some of my gocco test prints...vintage ephemera...old book pages...vintage maps...extra-special paper from my vast collection...& snippets of original Magic Jelly illustrations...all lovingly arranged into a magical circley composition mounted to heavy-weight brown kraft board.

This is the tenth Magic Circle collage in the series & features a predominantly red & white colour palette with touches of black & blue.

The sheet size is 6.5x6.5" (165x165mm) & the size of the collage is approx. 5.4x5.4" (136x136mm). The artwork is numbered on the front & stamped on the back with the official Magic Jelly mark of authenticity. I use archival, acid-free inks & adhesive, but can't vouch for the archival nature of the found paper.

This collage is an original artwork - not a reproduction - & the paper I've used is actual ephemera & found paper, not digital copies.

Original Mixed Media - Floyds Epiphany - Limited Edition

Floyd's epiphany arrived in the shape of a fat white dove just as he was about to deliver a killer right hook to his opponent. He pulled off his gloves & went for a walk in the sunshine... Everybody needs an epiphany sometime!

I've screenprinted (using a gocco) this original illustration onto the pages of an old surveyor's notebook from the 1930s. Each page was already numbered - 101 in all - which is how many prints there are in this very limited edition. The boxing gloves are collaged from the pages of a book of poetry & my signature is my name in the form of a barcode.

The print comes ready to frame...the page measures 5" x 7" (12.7 x 17.7cm) & the printed area measures approx. 4" x 6" (10.2 x 15.2cm). Small format original artwork at an affordable price all sealed up in an archival poly sleeve.

Please note: the book I have printed onto is about 70 years old, so each page has its own patina of little marks, blotches & some water damage. I don't see these characteristics as flaws...I use old books for the depth & texture they give my prints & for the wonderful aged quality you just can't replicate. And due to the fact that they're hand-printed, there may be some minor variations between prints.

This is an original mixed media collage on 8x8x1-3/8" (20x20x3.5cm) gallery-wrap canvas called "Tea Rose No. 3".

My original illustration is printed onto a variety of vintage & found papers & the sides of the canvas are also decorated with a red & pale-blue egg & dart pattern that I designed myself & printed onto recycled, acid-free, tea-stained paper.

Some of the papers I've used in this collage include pages from a typed manuscript from the 1930s written by an astrologer, an old diary, book & comic pages, vintage invoices & certificates, a bank book from the 1920s, vintage maps & a beautiful handwritten letter. All papers are original, not digital copies.

I've used acid-free adhesives, & the piece is finished with an artists' quality matte acrylic sealer.

It's ready to hang without a frame.

The artwork comes well packaged in bubble wrap & a sturdy box.

Screen Print (Gocco) - Fox and Flowers - Limited Edition

This is a 4 colour screen print - orange, brown & metallic gold & copper inks - called "Fox & Flowers", hand-printed with a Print Gocco on white card stock with a lovely texture. It's a nice heavy weight, 270gsm, is acid-free & archival, & the sheet size is A5 (14.85x21cm) which is approx. 5-3/4x8-1/4". The print could easily be matted for an 8x10" frame or larger, or trimmed down for a 5x7".

There are 150 prints *only* in the edition & your print will come signed & numbered & packaged in a clear resealable cello sleeve.

This is an original design that started as pencil on paper - all drawn by me & not taken from other sources, so you won't see it anywhere else.

Gocco Screen Print - 'Favourite Shoes' - Limited Edition

This is a 2 colour screen print called "Favourite Shoes".

It's an original, hand-printed artwork from an original design - *not* a reproduction!

I originally made this piece for a Gocco exhibition & printed a small edition in burgundy & pastel green. I liked it so much, I decided to make a second edition in my current favourite colour combo - red & pale blue.

It's printed with a Print Gocco on an absolutely beautiful 230gsm recycled, acid-free card stock which is a lovely eggshell colour with little blue & red flecks - it really does look like a speckly egg!

The sheet size is A5 (14.85x21cm) which is approx. 5.85x8.25". The print area is 10.6x14.7cm (approx. 4.2x5.8"). It could easily be matted for an 8x10" frame or larger, or trimmed down to a 5x7".

There are 250 prints in the edition & your print will come signed & numbered, & packaged with protective foam-core backing in a clear resealable cello sleeve (the presentation makes it great for gift giving).
