These are standard size and can be machine washed and tumbled dry. Do not use bleach. They are pre-owned items and vintage. They are in good condition, but there may be little flaws.

I collect old vintage photos of houses. Just houses. When I look at them long enough, sometimes, a line or two comes to me and then a story.

This is a collection of 9 house fictions. It took me over two years to write it. I have to wait to be in the right frame of mind to hear the stories.

Each copy is unique. Instead of numbered copies, each copy has a different residence address written on the back.

This zine is 1/4 page. Issue 1 and 2 are also available.

I started writing these in 2002. I have done three issues. It takes a while to write them. I have to be in the right mood and sometimes even when I am the stories don't come. I don't force it.

Here for the first time is a collection of all three issues. Issue number 3 just came out and I finally reprinted issue 2.

Hello, this is something I have wanted to do for a while. When I was copying some more copies of Imaginary Life #3 I thought what a shame it was that people don't see the zine in color. It is so pretty. Then I got the idea to lay it all out and have it as wall art. Like the old poetry broadsheets that were done in the 60's and 70's, but this is a zine broadsheet!

It is kind of like the anatomy of a zine. These images are the exact copies of my zine. I just scanned the original and arranged it. The subject matter is about Spring coming and wanting to change and start fresh and the longing for connections.

The print is done on a nice heavy matte paper. it is 8.5 x 11 and will come in a plastic bag. You can pin up or frame.

Developed from journal entries, this issue was determined to wallow in the past; what was, what I thought would be and some of the people, places and things that haunt me.

........Even then, however, I knew that I was little more than a minor diversion to him. I didn't mind. We hung-out in an empty elegant house, I played records while he and his friends did coke and talked about people I didn't know. He made me dinner, charging it all to his Dad's account at the fancy neighborhood grocery store. We watched TV and had sex in his parent's bed and during the day, a couple of times, we drove to the beach in a bright red convertible.

And now, twenty-three years later I am in Portland, Oregon, driving my car in the rain, listening to this song, singing with every word and remembering Rob, the dark house and how I use to think Santa Barbara would be a good place to live. I saw myself living a life of ease and elegance in some beautiful quaint house, filled with palms and wicker, living a Santa-Barbara-kind-of life. In truth, a life I would most likely not be able to afford....

This issue could really be called Imaginary Death. I talk a lot about death in here. Most pieces are from my journal over the last few years. I talk about my own imaginings of death and some real ones.

All though this may sound depressing, I find it makes me feel more gratitude about what is in fornt of me.

There is a space above to sketch your idea and then space below to write about it and list what you will need.

Each journal comes with a library pocket on the inside front and back covers. You can use these to put swatches and clippings as I have shown. The due date slip in the back envelope comes with it. Just for fun!

This journal is a new design I have. It is a gocco printed cover print in olive green and wine inks. Made from recycled file folders and hand bound. It is bound with embroidery thread, which I found to be really strong and long lasting. You will not necessarily get this color thread. This is half size, 8.5 x 5.5.

I made one of these for myself and realized more people might want them. I think you will be surprised how much you use it. Makes a great gift for your crafty friend!
