Hand made wooden knitting needles. These are aspen, size 10.5 and are 12 inches long. They have been polished with recycled beeswax. The top is made from humane wool roving and a fabric rose. Wooden knitting needles are wonderful to work with, as they hold the warmth of your hands as you knit. They also don't make that clicking sound you get from plastic or metal needles as you work. They become smoother with use, absorbing your hands natural oils. These needles will give your knitteds super powers.

These swirly whirly wool balls are made from humane sheep's wool that come from animals on a small farm that will never be bred or eaten by golly! Happy sheep provide wool with good karma!

The roving is wrapped around reclaimed wool fabric scraps for a recycled, upcycled, natural toy that is wonderful for open ended play. Fun for cats, too.

You will receive two balls, (not necessarily the ones pictured, but all beautiful and colorful). They each measure about three inches in diameter. Rubber Stamp - Elephant Jumping over a Mouse

I'm trying something new here and this is my first attempt. I'm tempted to keep it.... so I hope it sells fast.
It is my depiction of an elephant jumping over a mouse. This is a small stamp that will work with any stamp pad or ink and should last lots and lots of stamping. Carved on quality rubber that won't crack. Clean with a damp cloth after use. I tested this stamp so it is dyed with a pretty purple. It won't come off on your work, though.
Stamp is mounted on wood and about 1.5" X 1.5" including mount. The glue is visible on the back but wont' affect your stamping!

I'm trying something new! I've carved a winking elephant! It goes along with my other newly listed stamp, the Elephant Jumping over a Mouse, (available separately). Carved on quality rubber and mounted on wood, it should last you a long time. I've tested it which is why its purple but that won't effect your stamping. Here's how it works, upon your purchase, I will ask you to mail me an approximate 1.5" X 1.5" line drawing made by your child. You can email it or snail mail it. Keep in mind that I can only carve so much detail so the larger the details the better! Once I have your drawing I will magically transform it into a hand carved, mounted stamp. Wood mounting will vary but all will be fabulous for little hands can handle them easily.

Stamp will be made on quality rubber and shouldl last thousands of impressions. Will work with any stamp pad. I will test it so it will have ink on it when you get it, but it will be dry and won't effect your stamping. Wipe clean with a damp cloth after each use.

I've done it again. In all my free time I've made more whimsies. his time they are mice and they've been made from reclaimed, upcycled scraps of wool. Washed clean of course. Maybe the sweater this mousie was made from lived a previous life on the back of a world peace ambassador? Perhaps the owner of the aformentioned sweater took long walks with his grandchildren on Sundays and always told stories about what it was like growing up in a small village in Italy a long long time ago. Felted Wool Mother Earth Pregnancy Hanging Wall Art Banner

I created this wool painting on Earth Day. The Earth and all her femininity and beauty inspired me. A very interpretive piece, I will leave you to find what you may in the composition.

All of my felted items are made from wool that comes from rescued sheep that will never be bred or eaten. They are part of the family. This wet felted wall hanging is about 19" X 15" and 1/2 to 1/4 inch thick. My 4 year old model is holding the piece so you can see the size relation. I have looped it onto a sycamore branch and tied matching hemp twine to the branch for hanging.

I think this would make a special midwife or doula gift as well as a birth gift to an Earth Mother to be or any woman in touch with the Earth and her spiritual femininity.

Since taking these picts, I have since wood burned a swirly design onto the hanging branch, as seen in the final picture. :) Looks pretty!

This little woodland furniture is made just for wee-folk. Cut from pruned Connecticut hickory branches, with the bark left on,(the trees are fifty feet tall and shade our home), each set is one-of-a-kind. The top surfaces are sanded smooth and waxed to bring out the beautiful grain in the wood.

Each set includes a table and four chairs packed in a compostable cellophane bag made from sustainably-sourced wood pulp and tied with hemp twine.

The table measures approx. 3" across and 2" tall and the chairs are approx. 2" tall and 1.5" wide.

Best for children over three years as the bark may chip off in little pieces, but for wee-folk under three inches!

Please note: hemlock wood is completely safe! Hemlock herb is not, but it's a completely different plant and not what we use!!

Whimsical Abstract Paper Cut Sticker

Hmm. How to describe this one? Well, I did a paper cut using black paper and a very sharp blade along with a tiny pair of scissors. The paper was folded in half so I ended up with a symmetrical image. There are little mushrooms and a rabbit and I had in mind a tree and bird and came up with, well, I'll leave it to you to decide. My 5 year old sees a gnome, I see a crane and my Mom another kind of whimsical bird.

Vinyl sticker is about 3.5 X 4 and black printed on white.

Made entirely from wet felted and needle felted wool, this 13" X 20" play mat is ready for open ended play and the creation of stories. I see a brown forest floor with a large cave, perfect for a hibernating animal or family of gnomes. There is a stream with stones perfect for hopping and pond for swimming. A second smaller cave is next to the pond where a frog may be living. There is a field of what looks to be wild flowers near the pond.

What I enjoy most about these mats is that you never know exactly how they will look once they are finished. It's a great way for your child to learn to interpret what he or she sees while someone by his or her side may see something completely different. Like art, there is no wrong.

Down By the Seashore wool felted play mat playscape

This Waldorf inspired creation is made for open ended play and leaves lots of room for imaginative little fingers to create all kinds of stories. It measures 9" X 15" and was needle felted and then, (as an experiment) thrown in the washer and dryer! Well I learned about what happens when you do that! (Convo me for details!) What I have is an extremely well felted play scape depicting where the water touches the beach or riverside. There are two little caves and a blazing campfire among the patches of wild flowers and stones. The gnomes in the pictures aren't included but you can find them in my store. The taller of the caves is about 3" in height and the smaller one has a little back entrance for sneaking in and out undetected... The caves and campfire have been stitched on so they are extra secure. Lots of wool went into this piece and I'm hoping lots of fun comes out of it for a special child!

Nature Table Felted Tree with changable leaves - waldorf inspired

This little tree stands about 5 or 6 inches tall on it's little hill base. Made from humane wool and felted using both wet felting and needle felting, into shape. Each detailed little tree shows the beautiful tree trunks crevices and bulges. The roots extend over the little hill it sits upon and each one comes with loose roving you can spread out over the branches to fit the season of the year... orange for fall, green for spring and summer and white for winter. These are perfect to keep on your nature table, for story telling and table puppet shows.

Please note this is for one tree with three different colored "leaves", neatly packaged in a biodegradable cellophane bag tied with hemp.

Needle Felted Classical Santa Sculpture

This one-of-a-kind felt Santa was stands about 13 inches tall, including his natural log stand. He was carefully hand sculpted using a sharp barbed needle and humane sheep's roving from a small rescue farm in the US. None of the animals there are ever bred or eaten.

Santa has a long stocking cap with a jingle bell at the tip. His rosy cheeks poke out from his curly white beard and he carries a recycled wool toy sack at his feet from which he just pulled a felted teddy bear who hold three tiny felted toy balls. The sack has a Christmas Tree design and a gold thread blanket stitch trim and the teddy has black Swarovski Crystal beaded eyes.

St. Nick stands on a custom made wooden stand made from a slice of a scavenged hemlock.

The whole sculpture is solid and soft and cozy and has a nice weight to it and will last for many Christmases to come. A one of a kind gift that will fit any Christmas decor.

This solidly wet and needle felted pumpkin is made using wool that comes from sheep that will never be bred or eaten! They live on a small happy farm.

This little pumpkin is about 4 inches across and three inches high and is a beautiful variegated orange. I've made a stem with mossy green roving and a cotton pipe cleaner. The leaves are made from recycled or upcycled wool fabric. I'm having trouble not keeping this one for myself.

Made from a previously loved sweater, and needle felted with my art, this crown will make someone feel very special. Stitched with moss colored cotton thread and finished with an adjustable vintage ribbon, it will fit anyone.

Due to the long ribbons, this crown is best for those older than three. You are free to trim the ribbons to what works best for you~
