Taurelle..Tiny Forest

$43.00
Taurelle (Tiny Forest)

In Taurelle, I tried to create what could represent the lands of Dragons. Barren and burned, I imagined a small forest, with iridescent trees standing tall like stone, lands smooth and round like marbles; lands that would tolerate fire. I imagined that this would be worn for the tribesmen living in the areas, to carry the land with them as a marker to denote where they are from.
So in essence, this necklace is meant to represent a tiny land marker, branding the folk who live amongst the Dragons.

It is a 2 strand 17 - 19 inch necklace made from:

Mother of Pearl Sticks are 2 inches tall
Various Freshwater Pearls
Smokey Quartz
Sterling Silver Chain
Sterling Silver Spacers
Hand Made Sterling Silver Clasp
The pendant measures 2 inches tall and about 1 inch wide.

It includes:
A Handmade Sterling Silver Pendant by me, with a special handmade cabochon by Mary Louise at TheArtsAtEaglesFind.etsy.com

A note about the quality of the cabochon:
The cabochon is “made with Effetre glass and carefully annealed for long life. It measures 21 mm in diameter (13/16th inches) and 9 mm (3/8th in) high. A quarter is 24mm (15/16th inches). It is made with shades of blue, brown, black, white, and earth greens. It is encased in clear glass to give it depth. I love these really earthy organic cabs. I really like rocks and these look like beautiful rocks only I can manipulate the colors!” – Mary Louise at TheArtsAtEaglesFind.etsy

The setting for the cab:
The setting is hand made of Sterling Silver, with a fine Silver bezel. The half sphere at the bottom was hand forged as well.

The necklace:
Made of dark grained wooden beads, Sterling Silver box spacers, Labradorite stones, Sterling Silver chain, and a Sterling Silver lobster clasp.

If you are looking for cabochons, I highly recommend Mary Louise.
Season Cycle

$67.00
Part of the Peeking Moon Series; this piece was inspired by one of my Favourite XTC songs dealing with the cycle of life.
(Birth & Death, Sunrise and Sunset, Spring and Winter.)

The Sculls along with the Bali Prayer boxes represent Death and Life.
The Spirals on the bottom of the necklace, represent the cycle of life in many cultures. They also represent the changing seasons. If worn clockwise they represents Spring, counter clockwise,.. Winter.
The changing colours on the necklace represent the change from sunrise to sunset. I tried my darned-ness to get the complete colours of the sunset into the necklace. But there are still just too many colours up there for me to squeeze into a one strand necklace.

This necklace is one of a kind, and will never be duplicated. It is 18 inches, and is strung on 22 pound sturdy steel wire.

The Necklace is made up of:

* A Hand made Sterling Silver Clasp
* Moss Agate Faceted Coin Stones
* Oval Rainbow Tourmaline Stones
* Labradorite Round Stones
* Czech Cathedral Artisan Blue Glass
* Labradorite Faceted Rondelle Stones
* Tibetan Monk Bone Skulls
* Bali Sterling Silver Spiral Prayer Boxes
* Citrine Faceted Rondelle Stones
* Oval Rainbow Jasper Stones
* Artisan Glass Hand made by a Local Artist.
* Hand Worked Sterling Silver Spirals

And a big Thank you to Andy Partridge!
