This antique lace piece has been crocheted with cotton to give a lovely openwork look.

Measuring 46" (117 cms) long and 2.5" (6.5 cms) in depth. It has a striking undulating edge with a regular pattern along its length.

Again, this is vintage to antique since it dates back at least 50+ years.

Antique chemise trim

This very unusual dress trim appears to have been tatted and crocheted in one piece.

A friend of mine has informed me that 'the cream piece is actually the yoke for a "chemise" -- a vintage undergarment worn under the corset to prevent chafing of the skin.'

In a lovely ecru/cream shade it looks intact. In fact I wonder if it has ever been used? There really is some beautiful detailed workmanship.

Laid flat it measures 19" across whilst the straps are 6". This could be added as trim to pretty fabric for that shabby chic look or simply left as it is.

All I do know is that it dates back at least 50 years if not more.

A very striking antique openworked piece. Obviously an accessory for a collar to enhance a dress, perhaps?

Pieces have been joined to create the square shape.

Tatted lace triangle

This beautifully tatted lace triangle must have sat on a collar of an elegant lady's blouse.

There is lovely openwork with tatted loops around the edge. Due to its age there is some 'tea staining' long one edge but this might be removed by an expert although, I must say, it seems to add to its charm.

This piece could be incorporated in a piece of mixed media art or as a collage. Limitless possibilities!

I placed a tape measure along the top so that you could get an idea of size. A picture says a thousand words!

Antique lace collar - pure elegance

Here on offer is an exquisite, elegant antique lace collar that sat on a lady's garment in the early part of 1900's and would look equally at home today with the right vestment.

Ivory and beautifully designed it has mellowed over the years to show only a slight tea staining effect.

The width of the 'V' is 10" and the width of each side is 8". The inner measurement from lower 'V' to end is 24" whilst the outer measurement from lower 'V' to end is roughly 34" so this would have draped expansively over a lady's dress.

Note the detailed workmanship from the photographs.

Vintage Paper and Bamboo fan

Here on offer is a delightful paper and bamboo fan which allows a lady to flutter some cooler air around her!

With some Japanese hieroglyphics, a beautiful bird looking over its shoulder at pretty flowers, I would say these might have been mass produced in their time. Interestingly enough there appears to be some more Japanese writing along one edge. There is also some damage here which I am sure the expert could repair successfully. I do not know enough about restoration work so would not attempt to try.

This fan used to belong to my mother so must be at least 50 years old if not older.

When closed this fan measures just over 8.5 inches or 22 cms.
