Simple, understated, but with a bit of silvery glimmer. This bead features fine silver dots around the center.

This bone has a bit of heft to it. Created on a 3/32" mandrel and kiln annealed.

CONSTRUCTION
This dog bone was made melting glass rods in a propane-oxygen flame. Each bead I make is created by "hand" - no molds are used. Colors: topaz, ivory and fine silver (0.999 silver).

CONSTRUCTION: The glass bead was made by me using Vetrofond and Effetre glass. The base bead color turquoise, with teal, aqua and silvered ivory "waves"

The ornament is tied with raffia and wired to the shell with very fine gauge wire. The bead is held in place by a raffia knot on each side.

ABOUT THE SHELLS: The shells are "au naturel" -- I have not treated or coated them with anything. They usually have small chips and discolorations, along with some grains of sand still inside.

The bead was created on a 1/8" mandrel. All of my beads are created in my studio by me and fully annealed in my computer-controlled kiln.

Firefly Lampwork Beads - Sea Foam Glass Dichro Heart and Spacers - Glass Bead Set

Sea foam is a color used to describe a beautiful color of sea glass. It is that "coke bottle" green we are all familiar with, originating from Coke bottles at the turn of the century. This is a much nicer color than "real" sea foam that I usually see on the beach, which is a kind of slimy brown color. ;-D

I am sticking with the sea-foam-green description, since green is my favorite color and very calming, like the sea. It is also very similar to the anemomes common to where I visit (photo #4).

This heart has some beautiful purple-teal dichro glass swirled deep inside for added sparkle. The dichro glass is thanks to my friend Andrea Guarino (http://AndreaGuarino.etsy.com).

This listing (and price) is for the heart. The spacers are included for free - they match, but the dichro is pretty faint in the spacers.

This listing, like my Bare Bones listing (http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=13170544), is something I hope to keep in my store as a per-bead listing. These fried eggs make great earrings! They would also make a nice mini focal or cell/purse charm.

Each bead is "hand-formed" -- no molds or presses are used, so the size/shape will vary bead-to-bead. If you prefer one on the larger or smaller side, please make a note on checkout, and I will do my best to accommodate.

Now that Etsy has a shopping cart, I have decided to add in the "pendant-i-zation" service for anyone who wants to have a wearable pendant created for their Firefly Lampwork Purchases. This serivce applies to beads purchased at the same time as the pendant-i-zation.

The photos show an earlier bead, pre and post pendantization!

***Sorry, rooster bead and tools are NOT included with purchase of this item!***

If you would like previous purchases to be pendantized, please contact me to arrange. The fee is the same ($3.00), but shipping to and will be paid by the buyer.

The pendant is wired on sterling silver. All metal components are sterling silver. The crystals used are Swarovski (Austrian) crystals of various colors/sizes. Each pendant has a 4.5mm sterling split ring attached to allow for an easy fit over most chains, cords, etc.

*If you would like a cell phone lariat, please specify that on check out. I have three colors available: black, red and turquoise. NOTE: the metal components of the cell phone are base metal, not sterling silver and are not intended to wear as jewelry (for metal sensitive people).
