These beautiful purple amethyst diamond glass jewels are a new color for me and they are beautiful! I think you'll love them too.

The color is a rich amethyst purple. I've deliberately taken pics in several different lights - you can see how these same jewels show different colors, according to the lighting and what you wear with it. Changeable - but always amethyst and always gorgeous!

Each jewel measures 12mm (just a bit under one half inch). I've placed each diamond jewel in a brass one-ring setting. The brass is new, but with a gentle aged patina. Useful *and* beautiful!

Like all brass, the settings contain no nickel and are non-irritating to the skin.

The jewels are from a manufacturer that went out of business in the early 1980s. I have other vintage diamond jewels from the same source - in light aqua, pale light sapphire blue, peridot, golden topaz, and more - take a look at my other listings, or just send me a convo if you don't see the color you want - I might have it and not had a chance to list yet!

These are just a bit unusual - transparent light purple amethyst cabochons in a low-dome style - set into natural brass one ring settings with a soft vintage patina.

Brass Earwires Clip On Findings - Vintage Patina - Flexible - Non Pierced - Five Pairs - Nickel Free - International Ship

I just got a new batch of solid brass earring clip on findings. They're pretty cool :-)

Not everyone has pierced ears, but for some reason nice earring clip-ons are getting harder to find. So I was really pleased to get these!

They are vintage brass (from the early 1970s I was told) with a lovely aged patina. (Note - I also have these in natural golden brass - if you prefer that color just let me know.)

And the clips are really comfortable. This is probably the most unusual feature of the clip-ons. If you take a look at my second pic, I've drawn a little illustration to show you where the ear clip is actually flexible. The pad that sits behind the earlobe is hinged, so it flexes and moves, just enough so that the earrings don't pinch. This is something you don't often find and it really adds to the value of these findings.

The front of the ear clip has a small flat pad, approx. 4mm, where you can glue on jewels. But the clips also look fine just worn "as is" - wire on a dangling gem or jewel and you'll have earrings ready to go.

The entire finding measures about 20mm (a bit over 3/4") from top to bottom. Like all brass, of course these are nickel-free and non-irritating to the skin.

These are gorgeous and they're also majorly useful!

Black teardrops - you know as well as I do that black ALWAYS looks good. These faceted crystal drops are 7mm x 10mm, a great size for earring drops. They're large enough to have "presence", but not so heavy that you couldn't use them in multiples. A trio of these teardrops for example - how fabulous in chandelier earrings!

They're equally useful in necklaces too. Scattered with onyx or pearls, crystals or resin - these add a real "wow" factor. They're straight drilled from top to bottom, so they're easy to use, too. :-)

The "AB" finish adds a prism of color to the black. Knockouts, I'm telling you!

I recently found a great deal on these crystals. There was no identifying manufacturer, so I'm guessing that these are probably Chinese crystal - they weren't expensive enough to be Austrian!

These vintage glass stones or jewels are unique - they're opaque rather than translucent, and a soft aqua blue, in a slender pear or teardrop shape.

They were labeled "faceted" when I found them but it's an unusual sort - broad strokes rather than tiny facets. The stones are gently pointed and I've placed them in natural brass one-ring settings.

The brass has a vintage patina that provides a lovely contrast to the aqua stones. (I do have a few pairs of the settings in golden brass - if you prefer that shade, just let me know when you order.)

Aqua is one of those universally-flattering colors, and it looks great with warm tones (think turquoise, coral and copper!) as well as neutrals, and of course it's fabulous with black. A great way to add gorgeous color to your winter wardrobe!

This brass bracelet cuff - or bangle - dates from the 1970s and has a wonderful aged patina.

This bracelet base could be embellished all kinds of ways. Add images to the "channel", hand-wire on a chunky jewel, apply your own special colors or tints - or just use as is.

The inside dimension of each bracelet is just a tiny bit under 2-5/8", or 6.7cm. These are size "medium" and easy to slip on. The total height of the bracelet is approx. 3/4" (1.8cm) - and the inside channel is about 5/8", or 15cm high.

Easy to decorate - easy to love. These will be easy to polish, if you prefer a golden color - or leave the patina as is and let it age.

Like all brass, of course this bracelet contains no nickel or lead - it's easy and non-irritating to wear.

Silver pearls - button pearls - coin pearls - zigzag pearls - dancing pearls!

This style of top-drilled pearls (the holes run from side to side near the top) are called each of these names. They're plump and rounded but flattish, not a fully-round "potato" pearl - so they're "coin" pearls. There is definitely a "better" side - the backs of these pearls is flattish. The front is plump and rounded as you can see, and they have a lovely luster.

Zig-zag or dancing pearls (I like "dancing" best myself!) are so easy to use and attractive, they don't need a lot of embellishment. Use them as is, or add pretty spacers on the diagonal, or a cluster centerpiece - you tell me! This color is one of my favorites because it works great with either gold or silver accents - and think how fabulous these will be with crystal!

The silver has a bit of a soft blue hue when seen in some lights. Gorgeous! Now these are not perfect, with the flattish backsides, and a few are nuggety - but not many. I haven't retouched the photos - just take a look! (Oh - the blue and turquoise reflections in the upper left especially, are camera reflections - the color's not really on the pearls!)

Coin pearls, even smaller ones like these, usually tend to be expensive. These are quite uniform in size, about 7-8mm in diameter, and the absolute nicest part is that the surface is so clean and smooth, not bumpy or ridged like even quality coin pearls can be. I think you'll like these!

These are simple brass connectors - simple yes, but they are so valuable!

They are much stronger than jump rings. Use them wherever you want to connect components in necklaces or bracelets. These are not flimsy jump rings that open too easily - these are solid and tough and they'll last forever.

Slip the curved end over any loop, then squeeze the curved end (the "open loop") closed - and that component is secure.

Natural brass clasps are always useful - these are basic "spring rings", not fancy but great when you don't want to have to spend a fortune on clasps. They are uncoated brass, with a natural deep patina (there is some slight variation as you can see in the pics).

These petal shaped dangles or drops are silver mirror finished lightweight aluminum. And they're so cute!

They aren't as reflective as a glass mirror (but almost!)Take a look at my pics to get an idea. For instance, in the first pic, you can see a reflection of my wood dresser nearby, and the green of tree branches out the nearby window. And you can see the middle ridge that's shaped into each "leaf".

And of course, since these drops (charms) are all aluminum, they are super lightweight, and nickel-free.

Each drop measures 14mm x 23mm (there is some small variation but they're all close to that) - and the hole near the top is a full 6mm.

The backs of the drops are more of a brushed, matte finish. In the third pic, I've pointed out the back of the petal in the upper right.

These pretty brass lovebirds are practically my favorite shape in repousse brass - the detail is terrific and they are just so cute!

I've been playing with different finishes on these kissing birds and really like this new one - a summery feeling "shabby chic" look. The birds have a deepish patina naturally, and I added a soft blue overlay, then whitewashed them - and removed some of the finish. I hope you like it too :-)

Each lovebird measure about 20mm long (approx. 3/4"), and they're about 13mm high (just over 1/2").

These are quite sturdy and would make wonderful focals or connectors in bracelets or necklaces.

Because this finish is done by hand, there are tiny variations - I've tried to show the differences in my pics.

Vintage Brass Cameo or Cabochon Frames Settings - Victorian Style - Blackened Brass - One Pair (Two Frames) - Nickel Free - Worldwide International Shipping

A handsome style of vintage brass cameo or cabochon frames - these are victorian in style and very "antique" - though the brass is actually new.

I've given each frame a blackened patina finish - and then buffed away just a small portion of the black to reveal the antique patina beneath. Very from-your-grandmother's-attic!

The frames measure approx. 38mm (about 1½") x 29mm (about 1¼"). The center of the frames are recessed to hold a cameo or cabochon sized at 25mm x 18mm (approx. one inch high x 3/4" wide). These are a "glue-in" style and with this solid surface, your cameo will be ultra secure when glued in.

Each frame has a loop at the top - generous enough that if you use a fine chain, you won't even need a jump ring. Slip your chain through the loop, add a clasp, and your new necklace will be ready to wear :-)

These ball-end earwires are really goodlooking - and since they are silver plated over brass, they are also nickel free and friendly to the skin.

If you must have only precious metal, these won't work for you - but for most people, being nickel free is the most important thing - and these are definitely nickel free.

They make your earrings "interchangeable". You can easily slip an earring drop onto these earwires, and exchange them when you want to! Great for your own earring collection, and a great bonus for your cusotmers.

These are very sturdy - the wire is approx. 19 gauge. The ball at the end of the earwire is 2mm. They can be gently made wider, or squeezed together, to make them accommodate any special sizing.

Each earwire is approximately 16mm (just under 3/4") x 12mm wide (a smidge under 1/2"). They're large enough to be easy to use, but not huge. I think you'll like them :-)

This brass filigree, large and ornate, makes me think of the Old World, maybe a trip on the Orient Express on the way to meet someone in Vienna. I'm not sure why Vienna - it just seems right. A touch of romance and continental intrigue :-) Imagine it with dangling gems, on a heavier chain and a silk shawl in a deep jewel tone...

I suppose I ought to mention the facts as well as my feeling about the piece :-)

You can see the wonderful intricacy of the filigree. I've added an antiqued patina by hand, in a wonderful teal green verdigris. This is a color that arrives after years and years outdoors - I've just helped it along. :-) The process takes several steps but I do think it ends up looking beautiful! Of course I have sealed it with a matte finish to protect the patina.

At 53mm long and about 46mm wide, this piece will take center stage in your design - it has Presence!

New color! These vintage glass diamond jewels (from the 1970s) are a pretty coral-pink-red. Take a look at the pics, you'll see what I mean. They're coral - but in certain lights, more deep pink shows, and in stronger light, they're almost red. It's a gorgeous color.

Like the other jewels I have from this manufacturer, there is a back coating on the jewels that adds just the slightest touch of texture and shimmer. Very pretty!

I've taken pics in different lighting, just so you can see how they can sparkle and change (a little) under certain lights. All the tones are beautiful and all are going to be noticed :-)

The jewels measure 12mm (just under 1/2") and I've placed them in one-ring brass settings. The settings are new but with a gentle, aged patina. Like all brass, the settings contain no nickel or lead and are super friendly (non irritating) to the skin.

These vintage glass stones or jewels are unique - they're opaque rather than translucent, and a soft offwhite, in a slender pear or teardrop shape.

They were labeled when I found them as "faceted" but it's an unusual sort - broad strokes rather than tiny facets. The stones are gently pointed and I've placed them in natural brass one-ring settings. The brass has a vintage patina that provides a lovely contrast to the white stones. (I do have a few pairs of the settings in golden brass - if you prefer that shade, just let me know when you order.)

Of course the ever-so-slightly offwhite glass stones will look wonderful in summer (think of the fabulous earrings!) but I think they'd be terrific in winter as well. Imagine white and black together - these vintage stones with black onyx, for example. Very luxe :-)

These are not flat white - rather, a smidge softer. Just a little, enough to keep them from being too cold.

Solid pure brass chain!

This is a darling chain. The links are small - about 2mm x 3mm - but it's not really "lightweight" - these links are soldered and quite sturdy.

The thing I like most about this chain is that even though it's a narrow chain, the links aren't the thin kind that kinks and tangles easily - I've used it already and been very pleased with it.

The chain has a warm finish. It's almost a rose gold color - really gorgeous. One note - the links are quite sturdy with a comparatively large gauge (for the size) and the actual holes are really quite small - you'll need to use 22 or 24 gauge wire.

A little history! I wondered why true "dog tags" have that little notch and a wonderful Etsy friend was kind enough to share this info with me:

"From Wikipedia.. World War II

There is a recurring myth about the notch situated in one end of the dog tags issued to United States Army personnel during World War II. It was rumored that the notch's purpose was so that if a Soldier found one of his comrades on the battlefield, he could take one tag to the commanding officer and kick the other between the teeth of the Soldier to ensure that the tag would remain with the body and be identified. According to Snopes, the notch is there simply to hold the tag in place on the embossing machine."

These decorative silver aluminum chains were made for the Monet company (in the 1970s I was told) - they are vintage and unusual and gorgeous.

This chain" would be perfect "as is" for an everyday necklace with a little extra pizzazz. Or, add your own pendant or decorative elements to make a truly unique creation.

All it needs is a clasp! If you look at the closeup pic, you'll see a toggle clasp I added - that particular clasp is pewter. (The clasp is just an example, not included in this listing.) Most silver metals will work fine - I probably would not use the darker oxidized finish, but that may be just me!

I've tried to be accurate in the pics - the only thing I will add is that I had trouble eliminating reflections - these necklace chains are closer to a matte finish than a bright shiny one.

Each chain is 14½" long. Add your clasp and it'll be the standard 16" necklace size. Or make two bracelets!

I bought as many as I could and have several left - but don't know that I'll ever be able to find them again. Grab them while they're available!

Beautiful Czech glass jewels in clear sapphire blue, these stones are faceted like fine gems, with a gently pointed back and table-cut top.

These are part of my growing collection of czech glass, polished to perfection and in the style of jewels from the 19th century. They were sold to me as vintage stones, though I haven't been able to verify the year they were made. (They were wrapped in a paper packet but it only had "W.F." on it.)

The first pic was taken with a wood background and gives a side view, so you can see how the faceting leads to the "table" at the top. (And how lovely the stone is, even on a rough wood background!)

Trick of the light: when light comes through these jewels, the stones are clear sapphire blue, not at all dark. When the light glances *at* the stone and not through it, the color's almost a cobalt. Clear, but deeper. Just so you know how changeable these lovely stones can be!

Turquoise Jasper Barrel Beads - BIG Focals 18mm x 25mm - Set of Five - Worldwide International Shipping

This listing is for five huge, gorgeous barrel beads in genuine turquoise jasper.

These are often mistaken for Arizona turquoise, but if you look closely you can see the matrix is different - these are jasper, not turquoise. They are probably heat-treated to get this great color - but it's permanent, in my experience will not fade (I've had my own bracelet featuring this jasper for over three years) - and jasper is much stronger than turquoise.

That strength makes it especially great for bracelets, which tend to get a lot of abuse and wear and tear!

There is some small variation in the size of each bead, but they all are close to 18mm in diameter and 24mm to 26mm long. And the drill holes are easy to use - I had no trouble using 22 gauge wire and I think 20 gauge will work too.

These were hard to find but I finally managed to get some crystal hearts!

The hearts are crystal (colorless) faceted czech glass, with gold foil backs. They're in remarkably good shape for vintage, with wonderful sparkle, and the foil's in good shape. These are as beautiful as diamonds - they just don't cost so much :-)

The natural brass settings have one ring, and I've aged them to a soft antique patina.

The hearts measure 15mm (about 5/8") x 14mm high - that doesn't count the little ring at the top of the setting.

Another yummy color in faceted crystal rounds - these are a soft dusty purple with an AB finish - I think of them as "dusty grapes" but with pizzazz!

These are nicely made, with well defined facets. When I found these at the vendor's there was no identifying manufacturer, so I'm guessing they are Chinese crystal - they aren't expensive enough to be Austrian Swarovski :-)

The beads are well-drilled, the beads are from 5.5mm to 6mm in diameter (closer to 6mm) and they have a lovely AB finish. It's not "loud" but there is a prismatic effect as you turn these in the light. Very pretty!

I just got a new packet of lovely glass jewels - take a look!

These are a beautiful deep emerald, clear and vivid but not "loud". Just gorgeous! .

This czech glass has polished to perfection and in the style of vintage jewels from the 19th century. These were sold to me as vintage stones, though I haven't been able to verify the year they were made. (They were wrapped in a paper packet but it only had "W.F." on it.)

I've tried to get clear pics so you can see both the shapes and the faceting on both sides. The closest I can describe these is a bell shape, with faceting on both sides - take a look at the first pic, I've tried to get a clear picture of the style of the faceting, it's quite unusual especially on the back. Very pleasing to the touch and the eye!

These jewels are quite generous, measuring just under 14mm wide at the flare of the bell, and they're about 14.5mm from top to bottom. Think how lovely they'd be wire-wrapped, or even more, with a handsome antique brass filigree wrapped around them. This is actually a very useful size - large enough to be featured in a sensational focal, but not so heavy that you couldn't use them for earrings if you prefer.

Silver MIRROR finish lightweight aluminum marquise drops!

I've just received a new shipment of the aluminum marquise (petal-shaped drops or charms) I've had in my shop before but this time I got some new ones - in silvery gray aluminum - with a wonderful, highly polished mirror finish on the front!

They aren't as reflective as a glass mirror - but almost! Take a look at my pics to get an idea. For instance, in the first pic, you can see a reflection of my wood dresser nearby, and the green of tree branches out the nearby window. And you can see the middle ridge that's shaped into each "leaf".

And of course, since these drops (charms) are all aluminum, they are super lightweight, and nickel-free. Perfect for earrings and necklaces!

Each marquis-shaped drop measures 14mm x 23mm (there is some small variation but they're all close to that) - and the hole near the top is a full 6mm.

The backs of the drops are more of a brushed, matte finish. In the first pic, I've pointed out the back of the petal in the upper right.

I also have the same marquis shapes in black-with-gray (silver), and deep fuschia pink:-) And yes, if you order multiple listings - you do save $$ on shipping costs!

These ball-end earwires are really goodlooking - and since they are sterling silver plated over brass, they are also nickel free and friendly to the skin.

If you must have only precious metal, these won't work for you - but for most people, being nickel free is the most important thing - and these are definitely nickel free.

They make your earrings "interchangeable". You can easily slip an earring drop onto these earwires, and exchange them when you want to! Great for your own earring collection, and a great bonus for your cusotmers.

These are very sturdy - the wire is approx. 19 gauge. The ball at the end of the earwire is 2mm. They can be gently made wider, or squeezed together, to make them accommodate any special sizing.

Each earwire is approximately 16mm (just under 3/4") x 12mm wide (a smidge under 1/2"). They're large enough to be easy to use, but not huge. I think you'll like them :-)

These 100% brass chains are vintage and unusual - and I've given them a gorgeous teal blue green verdigris patina. You won't find these anywhere else!

The chains were originally made for the Monet company in the 1970s and have been sitting in a warehouse for - well, quite a while :-) The chain style is "herringbone" - flat and flexible. Each chain comes to a "vee" in front. Very feminine :-)

I added a verdigris patina to one of my chains - and loved it, so of course I had to "age" more of them that way. The blue green is a color you'd normally get after decades of sitting hidden in the attic - I've speeded up the process :-) Then I removed a bit of the color so the deepish patina of the natural brass shows through. Since the chain is flexible anyway, it's not a "solid" color and the effect is quite romantic. I've added a matte sealer so the color stays true.

The clasp is a narrow brass foldover clasp (I've left it open in the pics so you can see it clearly). I wouldn't be surprised, if over time, the color wears a bit at the clasp, where there is friction when you close the clasp. Since the brass is really meant to show through a bit, this will be entirely "natural".

These necklace chains are wonderful worn without any more ornament. Think how lovely though, if you add a verdigris, gemstone or brass patina pendant!

Like all brass, these lovely chains contain no nickel or lead. They're gentle on the skin.

Each chain measures approx. 18", and you're buying one in this listing. I do have more stashed, because I bought all I could - once these are gone, I don't know if I'll ever find any more.

Now these are cool! 100% natural brass with a vintage patina is shaped into curved links or connectors. Just a little bit different, and very handsome links :-)

These connectors are absolutely made to be turned into a fabulous necklace or bracelet, linked with pearls or gemstone jewels - easy and gorgeous. Or, use them individually for terrific asymetric earring dangles. Either way, your design will be original and exciting!

They're not heavy. They'd be great with earrings. But they are not flimsy, either - they're sturdy enough to use even in a bracelet.

This listing is for a beautiful strand of White Freshwater Button Pearls.

Button pearls aren't hard to find - but these are just really nice for the money. They're really nice, period!

It's almost harder to find nice white pearls than the lovely colors out there - maybe because the flaws show up so much on the white pearls. I got lucky and found some really good strands and went kinda crazy with the buying thing. :-)

These are button or rondelle pearls, and really terrific. They were graded A/B by the vendor. They're not perfect, some are a bit flat (but on the parts where they're supposed to be flat anyway).

They have a beautiful glow, are pretty uniform in size, and have very few (and very tiny) flaws I could find. And I had to really look. This is the kind of strand you want for your wedding jewelry, or your I-want-to-be-a-princess-jewelry, or your Sunday best. :-)

The strands are about 15½", and the pearls measure about 5mm to 5.25 or 5.5mm.

These blue 4mm crystal beads (a full strand!) are a gorgeous soft blue - round, faceted crystals (glass) with a slight AB finish - they reflect light beautifully for such a small bead.

Each strand is about 13" so you get about 90 beads per strand. You can do a lot with these - cluster them in earrings or as a necklace focal - or make them the "chain" in a pretty necklace or bracelet. (And think how pretty they'll be with pearls!)

Garnet is always great - small, large, opaque or translucent - there's something yummy about genuine red gemstones! These are rated "A" (rather than the costlier AA or even AAA!) - not perfect but quite lovely.

It's the faceting that makes these special. I've tried to get clear pics so you can see how well these are cut. These are briolette-cut, drilled from side to side near the top, and they're lovely specimans.

Please do note that the pictures on the monitor are extreme closeups - these are lovely, deep pink to red to almost violet - but they aren't huge like they look onscreen :-) They're tiny, measuring from 3mm to 4mm wide and 4mm to 5mm high. Gemstones with such quality faceting - if they were large - would be very costly. These are gorgeous but affordable!

Totally gorgeous light purple (lilac) briolettes - in acrylic!

Take a look at the faceting! These were taken with the light coming in from a bedroom slider window - no extra lighting added. You see how much they pick up light and sparkle :-)

Since these pretty briolettes are acrylic, they are very lightweight. Normally I would think that this size brio is too big to be comfortable for earrings - but these are super lightweight. Perfect earring dangles!

These lovely briolettes are natural gemstone citrine, a light to golden yellow - not bright but clear and lovely.

These are a great size, measuring 5mm to 6mm wide and 9mm to 10mm high, small enough to be comfortable in earrings but large enough to have real presence. They're a plump briolette, not flattened, and the curvey shape adds to the appeal.
