Recycled Wool Necklace Scarf - Black and Winter Whites

A super soft and cosy one-off scarf, cut from recycled, boiled, 100% wool sweaters and joined with a strong zig zag stitch.

This one features a monochrome color palette of off-whites in tones of cream, bone and albastar interspersed with black.

Measuring 72 inches (182 cm) long, its made from felted discs of varying textures and sizes and doubles as a warm and stylish necklace that can be worn in a variety of ways.

If some of the sweater pieces in these necklace scarves look familiar, its because they're cut from the bits left over when we cut our arm warmers (but only the very softest)!

We aim for a no-waste policy and endeavor to upcycle every part of the sweaters we cut up so the bare minimum ends up in landfill. All the electricity used to produce our scarves is sourced from 100% wind energy.

If some of the sweater pieces in these necklace scarves look familiar, its because they're cut from the bits left over when we cut our arm warmers (but only the very softest)!

Recycled Wool Midriff Warmer Haramaki- Camel and Red X-SML- SMALL

This 4 panel, contoured, midriff or kidney warmer is cut from recycled, boiled, 100% wool sweaters. Two panels are camel or taupe and have a raised textured diamond and rib pattern, the other 2 are cut from a taupe sweater with a burgundy and grey rectangular pattern. It can be swiveled so either panel is facing the front. The two plain panels are cut with the finished edge of the sweater at the top for a firmer fit.

This is women's size X-Small to Small US 4-6 Australian 8-10. If you're in doubt about which size to buy go for the firmer fit.

I cut the midriff warmers from sweaters with plenty of elasticity so they will fit snugly at first, will stretch with wear to your size, and will return to their original size when washed.

Measurements when laid flat (double for full circumference)
Width across top: 27 cm (10 3/4 inches)
Width across bottom: 42 cm (16 1/4 inches)
Length: 22.5 cm (9 inches)

NB. The haramaki in the image of it being worn, is different to the one listed here.

The benefits of keeping your mid-section warm have been long known in Japan where the haramaki (belly warmer) is a common item of clothing. Keeping your kidneys and other vital organs improves blood circulation to the whole body. The warmth it generates also eases menstrual and digestive discomfort.

While haramaki are traditionally worn next to the skin as an under layer ours is designed to be worn as part of a layered look, peeping out from under your sweater or shirt.

The top and bottom stripes on this pair are cut from a lovely sea green blue sweater. The hand ends, cut from the ribbed edge of the sweater have inserts in a lighter foam green. The middle stripe is a rich tomato burgundy red.

They are a medium or large women's fit and measure 26 cm (10 inches) in length.

Recycled Wool Midriff Warmer Haramaki- Red and Grey Striped MEDIUM

This 4 panel, contoured, midriff or kidney warmer is cut from recycled, boiled, 100% wool sweaters. Two panels are a charcoal grey and red stripe, the other two are a thick light grey. One light grey panel has a handy pocket with a special crest on it. The warmer can be swiveled so either coloured panel is facing the front. The two striped panels are cut with the finished edge of the sweater at the top for a firmer fit.

This is a medium women's fit (Australian 12, US 8). If you're in doubt about which size to buy go for the firmer fit. I cut the midriff warmers from sweaters with plenty of elasticity so they will fit snugly when first worn, will stretch with wear to your size, and will return to their original size when washed.

Measurements when laid flat (double for full circumference)
Width across top: 30.5 cm (12 inches)
Width across bottom: 44 cm (17 1/4 inches)
Length: 22.5 cm (9 inches)

The benefits of keeping your mid-section warm have been long known in Japan where the haramaki (belly warmer) is a common item of clothing. Keeping your kidneys and other vital organs improves blood circulation to the whole body. The warmth it generates also eases menstrual and digestive discomfort.

While haramaki are traditionally worn next to the skin as an under layer ours is designed to be worn as part of a layered look, peeping out from under your sweater or shirt.

The top part of this lightweight pair is cut from an inky blue sweater while the bottom third is cut from a bright lime green one with a rib pattern. Each hand is embellished with a spring green re-purposed vintage buckle threaded through with pieces of a blue and white sweater.

They are a small women’s size and measure 26.5 cm (10 1/2 inches) in length.

A super soft and cosy one-off scarf, cut from recycled, boiled, 100% wool sweaters and joined with a strong zig zag stitch.

This one features a warm color palette of rich purple, tomato red, sky blue, soft greens, camel and grey.

Measuring 75 inches (190 cm) long, its made from felted discs of varying textures and sizes and doubles as a warm and stylish necklace that can be worn in a variety of ways.

If some of the sweater pieces in these necklace scarves look familiar, its because they're cut from the bits left over when we cut our arm warmers (but only the very softest)!

We aim for a no-waste policy and endeavor to upcycle every part of the sweaters we cut up so the bare minimum ends up in landfill. All the electricity used to produce our scarves is sourced from 100% wind energy.

These men's, medium-weight, rich burnt orange rib armies, feature a row of grey cross-stitch embellishments in grey wool across the knuckle. They are cut from the edge of the sweater allowing for a snug fit across the hand.

These are an average men's or large, looser fit women's fit and measure 27.5 cm (10 3/4 inches) in length.
