looking for vegan? sure. super soft? yes. super pretty? oh yes. warm? as warm as you need it to be. not too too warm, though. if you haven't ever worn a neckwarmer, you are in for a treat. they keep the heat in, look cute, fit in your purse or pocket, don't choke you or get caught in the car door, and look adorable as inner or outerwear. there are a bunch of different yarns knitted together, including an amazing bamboo based yarn (bamboo feels as soft as silk) and has tons of fun fringe and a big button that you can adjust to be loose or tight.

the dimensions are 6-8 inches wide and about 18 inches long, not including the fringe. it is stretchy enough to fit just about anyone. feel free to ask if you would like it a bit longer or shorter.

these fun custom spinning kits have all sorts of different fibers in them, some of the fibers that you will likely see include sari silk waste, silk noils, soy silk, ingeo, angelina, dyed nylon top, bamboo top, merino, different kinds of locks, several kinds of loose dyed and undyed fancy wool, organic cotton, tencel and loads and loads more. there will be extra sparkle, strips and chunks of fabric, yarn, tulle, or other fun things! i will put extra chunky bits of things that may not be good through the drumcarder on the side, or bits and pieces of things like sequins or fabric that would be better spun in by hand. i will include different lengths of novelty yarns and strips of different roving, which are great to make a striped yarn. most of these kits end up weighing at least 5 ounces, sometimes as much as 8 ounces. these kits come in a gallon zip top bag stuffed to the gills. the great thing about a shorty scarf is that you get the look of a long scarf with the fringe and fuzz, but it isn't long enough to drag on the ground. you can easily pop it into your purse or coat pocket when you aren't wearing it. including the fringe, the scarf is about 4 feet long.

this fun piece has a dark burgundy brown base yarn from italy that is a wool blend, but still works up to feel like a soft fuzzy teddy bear. running around the middle of the wrap is a handspun, handpainted soft and squishy pink and soft brown yarn. you can wear this any way you fancy...doubled around your neck, down over your shoulders, pulled down around your chest and more!

size is variable-you can reshape this to be wider or longer, but it should fit at least from a small to xlarge. a ribbon tie can be added for a snugger fit on the smaller gals.

measurements are 3.5 in/9cm wide and about a 9 ft diameter(!!!), which hangs to about your knee just hanging, or can be doubled.

are you an apron lover? i am too. i found this apron in lot of amazing old stock aprons at an auction. as you can see, this apron still has the tag on it, and has never been worn. there is a gorgeous navy flocked navy tulip design on the delicate body of the apron, a little pocket and a nice full tie for a perfect bow.

there is a little bit of staining from age in the creases, but is otherwise in excellent vintage condition. i didn't want to wash or dry clean the apron because it is unworn and tagged, but the staining might wash out.

looking for a unique, luxurious and gorgeous wrap or shrug? the best way to fit that bill is to have it designed just for you! while i can easily make any of the styles you see here, i can also change lots of things to fit YOUR style and size. if you like the styles pictured, just let me know your size and i will quote your price.

if you want to change things up a bit, i can make any of these pieces from supersoft merino wool, cashmere, silk or veggie fibers (organic cotton, soy silk, bamboo, etc), let me know your preference. a simple version is gorgeous, and a flashier version is lovely, too. totally up to you!

these lovelies are crocheted from luxurious yarns hand dyed and hand spun by me. i usually use a cream or off-white yarn with sparkle in it and loose sequins. i can do a different color, matching it to whatever color you need, or i can do a the white base with a different color of sequin, ribbon, sparkle, or novelties.

the first sample photo shows a super fine, luxurious cream merino with a golden iris sparkle spun right in. this style is like a shrug, but does not have armholes, it ties with a gorgeous wide antique ribbon, or i can put a vintage mother of pearl button closure if you prefer. this is probably the most clean lined of the designs.

the next example is a creamy merino and dusty pink soy silk with lots of copper and pink sparkle, novelty yarns spun in and silk flowers. very dramatic! this is a wider wrap for those who like more coverage and/or warmth.

the next one is a cream merino stole with iridescent white sequins spun throughout. it can be worn many different ways, and it can be buttoned. this is great for covering upper arms, but still revealing your gorgeous dress. this one is great for a very simple dress, it has lots of sparkle!

the last example is just to show a shrug shape that is more fitted. this would be made in any color or texture of yarn that you fancy, it would be gorgeous in cream silk with a large flower closure, or a sparkly closure. ooh la la!

this amazing neckwarmer actually started out as a custom order for a client. she wanted something really soft. and gray. i told her that i have this incredible bamboo fiber (it is called black diamond and is naturally gray) that i could spin into yarn for her, using a stainless steel and silk thread to ply it (cool, eh?). so a gray neckwarmer, doesn't sound so exciting, does it? well...wow. this one is gorgeous. the bamboo silk is softer than silk, is vegan and lustrous. so pretty. the yarn has coils and spirals spun right in that gives the finished neckwarmer a gorgeous texture. this piece can be done without fringe, as well.

in case it wasn't gorgeous enough, i added tons of fringe, also vegan and two large vintage buttons to close it up with. you can button through the fabric as tightly as you like.

is it a scarf? a wrap? a shawl? or something else? yes. first, a vibrant orange superwash merino which is as soft as cotton, and i knitted along a really fun novelty yarn from france which brings in a bit of white, a deeper orange and burgundy to the mix. i tried to show some of the ways you can wear it, you could also pull it up over your head when it is really cold. ada is a wonderful choice for anyone that gets chilly easily indoors or out. and comfy, too! the body of the wrap is a plain knitted stockinette stitch, the top and bottom edges have a lovely crocheted picot design for a pretty bit of detail.

this gorgeous crocheted wrap is made of super soft merino that has been hand painted and handspun by me. i crochet it in a freeform pattern that is a fairly open stitch, i embellished the edges and made gorgeous "spots" with super soft and shiny organic cotton yarn. the closure is two big vintage chocolate brown buttons. you can button through a little button loop that is attached, through the big spots in it, or through another part of the wrap, as is most comfortable for you. it can be worn as a scarf, a shrug, a wrap, a hood, a ton of different ways. i tried to show several different ideas, one of which has a collar...i love that one.

ooh, miss gidget! this lovely little shrug is crocheted, hand painted and handspun by lil ole me. i used an open stitch so it has a nice fit and great movement. it will keep you cozy, but is not too heavy. this will easily fit in a medium sized purse. ask me how i know:)

you don't want wool, but you also don't want synthetic stuff, either...but you still want to knit and crochet! well, i have been making lots of gorgeous, soft organic cotton yarns, this one has sections of luscious soft blue bamboo silk with bits of recycled rayon sari silk throughout. i then did a gentle ply to give the yarn a bit more strength, wonderful texture and some extra squish for your buck. the organic cotton is naturally a very pale sage green/beige color and will get a bit more green with every wash.

while doing some weeding in my backyard i saw an adorable little bird hiding in the bushes. i went up to the little bird and told him how handsome he was and to my surprise, he said in a suave spanish accent, "why thank you! you aren't too bad yourself!"! he went on to tell me that his name was arturo and that he was from madrid and was visiting some relatives (a woodcock, he said) in the area and was looking for a new home. i told him that i would get onto etsy right away to see what i could come up with.

arturo is made of handspun wool yarn that was crocheted in a freeform pattern to make the handsome fella he see here. he has a cute pompadour-ish hairstyle, black safety eyes, and wings and feathers made from hand dyed wool felt. he has wire legs that i covered in floral tape and painted. he is stuffed with recycled organic wool stuffing. he stands about 5 inches high.

i have a thing for yarn. i spin my own, dye my own, and still, i buy it all the time. i am addicted to color and have such a huge stash of yarn that i figured i could make some really fun skeins out of multiple yarns so that you can make fancy knitted or crocheted things without having to pick out all the different yarns. each of these skeins has at least 2 plies which are hand-tied every few yards. these soft vibrant yarns come in lots of different textures and is bulky weight.

there are vibrant pinks, blues, purples and a bit of green. each skein has at least 90 yards, which is plenty for a scarf. this yarn has no animal fibers. i have two other skeins that are similar...one with greens in addition, the other with more blues. if you don't see them, please ask. also, if you love this yarn, but want more yardage, ask at the time you order so i can make enough for you and it will match up nicely.

i love aprons! i picked up a vintage apron lot at an auction, and i really hit the jackpot! this apron still has the tags on it and has never been worn. this unique style has pleats that are supposed to stay in through handwashing without having to iron. when you pull the pleats apart, you can see a gold pattern all the way around and the waist has a slightly different trim pattern in gold. so pretty!

whirlygig is the softest, squishiest organic green cotton (it is a very pale sage green and gets a bit darker with each wash) that grows as the color it is. no dyes here. i spun that up with super sparkley golden iris angelina sparkles throughout and spun in sections of satin ribbon whose ends are lose to give you adorable little flags all over the place. i plied everything for more strength and wonderful texture with a metallic gold and an orchid metallic thread. yum!

let's just say i have loads of yarn. i like to make scarfs with tons of different yarns in them, so i thought it might be fun to share the wealth.

each skein has at least 2 plies, which are then tied end to end every few yards to different yarns so that you can just knit or crochet along with a simple pattern and get a really fun result. each skein is at least 100 yards of bulky to very bulky yarn, and has no animal fibers.

there are wonderful shades of turquoise, purples, greens and a bit of purple. if you would like more or less of one color, just ask and i will do my best to pick which skein would work best.

fibers included are: cotton, bamboo, acrylic, nylon, soy, rayon, ramie and more. in the sample scarves shown, i used a size "Q" hook, and would use at least a size 13 knitting needle. this listing is for the skein of yarn to make a scarf (or whatever you fancy) similar to the one pictured, not for the scarf. there is a listing for the scarf, should you want one that is already whipped up for ya.

this wonderful, soft piece is made using a recycled luxurious soft merino sweater that was felted in the japanese shibori method, which uses loads of different sizes of recycled buttons that are hand tyed to make the "poppy" shape. they are then boiled, overdyed to this rich and vibrant fuschia, and lightly felted. the buttons are then removed, but the scarflette retains the gorgeous shape. when i tied in the buttons, i put in a lot of wonderful texture as folds, so the scarf has a slight accordian fold. so fun! i then went back and sewed in irridescent black delica beads to really finish the "poppy" off. can it get any better?

this piece is about 24 inches long and 8 inches wide unstretched. it can be worn any way you like, but it closes with snaps that are sewn on securely. i can add a ribbon or matching yarn tie closure if you prefer, or vintage buttons in black or white, just ask. i will add these at no extra charge. you can also wear it open, as pictured.

the great thing about this scarflette is that it adds something really unique and pretty to any outfit, whether it is worn with your winter coat, or in a chilly office. it is lightweight enough to be comfy, but due to the soft merino and angora mix, it will keep the cold out.

to care for this little lovely, i prefer to fill the basin with the lukewarm water and a bit of shampoo, wool wash or mild detergent and let it soak, refill the sink with clear water and let it soak again to remove soap. gently squeeze out extra water without wringing, roll it in a towel to remove excess water and lay flat to dry.

i got a new electric carder and fell in love with it. all of the batts from that carder are much more smoothly carded than my usual batts. i love the other batts because they are lumpy and bumpy, these ones are so pretty and smooth and i am able to card finer fibers, including tons of sparkle right in. these batts are made of super super soft, super fine handpainted superwash merino, alpaca, soy silk and tons of sparkle. this is a full sized batt. i spin bulky and use two batts to make about 70 yards of yarn. if you spin thin, you can get a lot more out of this gem.

the sunny yellow and seafoamy green are only barely upstaged by the gorgeous sparkle that is througout, and bigger bits of it on the outside. i lub it. ah, can you tell i love the warm weather and the flowers it brings?

missa is about 5 inches tall and is one of a set of triplets! (let me know if you are interested in one of the other sisters) she is crocheted using my own freeform pattern from hand dyed handspun kid mohair yarn. her eyes and mouth are made from handpainted wool/rayon felt that is really durable and nice to touch. i embroidered her little teeth by hand and sewed the mouth on with invisible nylon thread. i used 18mm safety eyes for her which are set into the felt and then sewn on with visible stitching with hot pink silk thread. she is wearing a bikini top and hotpants that are made from recycled fabric. her sisters' clothing is in matching fabric and matching yarn. her hair is made from hand dyed incredibly soft kid mohair locks which i individually hooked through one lock at a time. i put her hair up in pigtails with matching striped hair ties. if you like, you can do whatever hairstyle you like. but make sure to send photos!

missa was born in my strawberry patch after a spell of no berries this summer, i realized why! i fertilized the berry patch with the used coffee grounds from starbucks, and this is what grew! she is one of a set of triplets, her sister amelia has been adopted, but audrey is available too!

pretty missa has a huge mass of pink curls, as well as being the cute and talented one. she aspires to be the next american idol and be propelled into stardom like her favorite singer, christina aguilerra . she dresses really suggestively, and nothing i say makes any difference. she takes a lot of her behavioral cues from my fluffy and gorgeous (as well as badly behaved) cat, peeps and has been known to flash or moon anyone that crosses her path. she loves cotton candy and has been known to make sandwiches out of it. she only drinks pink lemonade and anything else pink. she only eats pink things. including baby mice! ewwwww! (i think peeps taught her that, too!) her favorite movie is clueless. i asked her what her favorite book is...she said us weekly, which isn't a book at all. sigh. she comes with a free extra mini dress! woo hoo!
