Are you familiar with the little strawberry that comes along with the classic tomato? Do you know the purpose of the strawberry? It's an emery pincushion. Its purpose is to keep your pins and needles sharp. It’s filled with a mineral called "emery". Emery resembles fine metal shavings. It’s used as an abrasive in industrial applications and on things like emery boards.

We can all purchase the tiny strawberry, but wouldn’t you like a larger emery pincushion? A huge emery pincushion? I hope so because here it is!

This felt cup measures approximately 3 inches (7.62 cm) across at the mouth and 2.5 inches (6.35 cm) high.

It’s full of emery. I didn’t add any fiberfill or any other type of filler. It’s pure emery, tightly packed to keep those pins and needles sharp. You can stick your pins in the side of the cup as well as in the top. As with all of my pincushions, no glue is used. Your pins will receive the most benefit due to its construction.

The emery is enclosed in its own little casing inside the felt to be sure that no emery escapes through pinholes.

I love this pincushion! It’s very heavy so it won't slide around your work surface, it holds your pins and needles, they're sharpened with every jab, and it's cute. What more could you want from a pincushion?

I’m so pleased to introduce my new line of Pincushion Rings. These are filled with emery!

It’s been requested many times. I’ve struggled with getting the design just right for quite some time. I finally got it. These are everything I wanted them to be.

Emery is a mineral used as an abrasive. It keeps pins and needles sharp. You know the little strawberry that comes along with the classic tomato pincushion? That strawberry is filled with emery. Now you can wear a little Emery Pincushion on your finger, keeping your pins handy and in perfect shape.

You can see what emery looks like in the second picture.

The emery is very securely tucked inside. You don’t have to worry about it escaping.

You also don’t have to worry about poking your finger. There’s an impenetrable barrier 1 1/8 inch across inside the bottom of the pincushion.

There’s no glue inside the pincushion.

There’s a very thin layer of polyester batting at the top, inside the pincushion. The emery isn’t mixed in with the batting. The emery is very tightly packed below the batting. There’s a fabric layer between the two. I set it up this way to give your pins the most benefit from the emery.

The ring is made from base metal. It’s adjustable. It’ll fit most anyone on any finger.

The fabric design placement on the ring you receive may vary slightly from the one pictured.

Your ring will arrive in a very nice ring box, ready for gift giving.

Pins are not included with the ring.

This is the perfect pincushion...It’s cute, it’s heavy so it won't slide around your work surface, it holds your pins and needles, and they're sharpened with every jab. What more could you want from a pincushion?

Are you familiar with the little strawberry that comes along with the famous tomato pincushion? Do you know the purpose of that strawberry? It's an emery pincushion. Its purpose is to keep your pins and needles sharp. It’s filled with a mineral called "emery". Emery resembles fine metal shavings. It’s used as an abrasive in industrial applications and on things like emery boards.

I searched high and low for a larger emery pincushion with no luck, so I decided to start making my own. I found an industrial supply company that would sell emery to me.

Here’s my jumbo Strawberry Emery Pincushion.

It’s made from red and green acrylic felt. The small tip of the strawberry is stuffed with a bit of polyester fiber-fill. The rest of the strawberry is full of emery in its own little sack. There are no fillers in the part filled with emery. It’s a full ¼ cup of emery.

Each strawberry measures approximately 2 3/4 inches (7 cm) long and 2 1/4 inches (5.72 cm) across at its widest point.

These are the perfect pincushions...They're cute, they're heavy so they won't slide around your work surface, they hold your pins and needles, and they're sharpened with every jab. What more could you want from a pincushion?

Every strawberry will be slightly different. Yours may not match the ones in the photos *exactly*.

A delicious chocolate cupcake with whipped vanilla frosting and a cherry on top? Not exactly.

Brown acrylic felt, topped with acrylic/nylon blend frosting with an emery filled felt cherry, in a silicone cupcake liner is more accurate. Cute and rather realistic looking, isn’t it?

This cupcake pincushion is all hand stitched. No glue was used. The cupcake is stuffed with polyester fiber-fil.

The cherry is filled with emery - a mineral that keeps pins and needles sharp.

It’ll keep you pins handy and a smile on your face.

The cupcake is approximately 2 3/4 inches across (7 cm) and 2 inches (5 cm) high. The cherry is about another 1/2 inch high.

The pins are not included with the pincushion.

This handy (and mighty cute) ring will move through your sewing room and whole house with you. It’s very lightweight and comfortable. The base is adjustable so it will fit almost anyone on any finger.

Don't worry about poking your finger. I enclosed a little impenetrable barrier in the base of the pincushion to protect your finger from over-aggressive pin jabbing.

The yolk of this pincushion is filled with emery. There’s a little sack inside full of emery, nothing else.

My Emery Pincushions are always covered twice. This helps ensure that the emery doesn’t escape through the seams or pinholes made into the fabric.

Emery is rather heavy which gives the added benefit of your pincushion staying just where you want it on your sewing table.

The egg is made from acrylic/polyester felt. No glue was used. It’s all hand-stitched by me.

The white part of the egg is a double layer of felt. You can use this part as well to hold your pins.

Its purpose is to keep your pins and needles sharp. It's filled with a mineral called "emery". Emery resembles fine metal shavings. It's used as an abrasive in industrial applications and on household items like emery boards.

I searched high and low for a larger emery pincushion with no luck, so I decided to make my own. My search for emery turned out to be another challenge. I finally found an industrial supply company that would sell it to me.

The emery I purchase is perfect for pincushions. Emery is available ground very fine to very coarse. This is the correct grade for pincushions.

I’ve been making and selling emery pincushions here on etsy since July 2006. These pincushions have become one of my best selling item. My Classic Emery Pincushions were even on Etsy’s Top 100 Items List (when we had it).

Well, I’m now offering the emery for sale so that you can make your own emery pincushions for yourself, to give as gifts, or to sell.

This listing is for 1/2 cup (120 ml) of emery. The pincushions pictured are not included in this listing.

The Classic Pincushions pictured measure approximately 2 3/4 inches (7 cm) by 1 1/2 inches (3.8 cm). I use approximately 1/8 cup emery in each pincushion, so you could possibly make about 4 similar sized pincushions with the 1/2 cup emery that you will receive. Of course you can make fewer, larger pincushions with this amount also.

A half cup emery isn't enough for your purposes? There should be additional listings in my shop for 1 cup, 2 cups, and 3 cups. Orders of 2 cups or more are marked at a 20% discount. If that still isn't enough, just contact me to put up a custom listing for you. Be sure to provide your zip code or country so I can give you a quote on shipping.

I suggest covering your pincushions twice with fabric. This will ensure that the emery doesn’t escape through seems or pinholes. I first make a muslin sack, fill that with emery, then cover it with a decorative fabric.

We can all purchase the tiny strawberry, but wouldn’t you like a larger emery pincushion? A huge emery pincushion? I hope so because here it is!

This felt cup measures approximately 3 inches (7.62 cm) across at the mouth and 2.5 inches (6.35 cm) high.

It’s full of emery. I didn’t add any fiberfill or any other type of filler. It’s pure emery, tightly packed to keep those pins and needles sharp. You can stick your pins in the side of the cup as well as in the top. As with all of my pincushions, no glue is used. Your pins will receive the most benefit due to its construction.

The emery is enclosed in its own little casing inside the felt to be sure that no emery escapes through pinholes.

I love this pincushion! It’s very heavy so it won't slide around your work surface, it holds your pins and needles, they're sharpened with every jab, and it's cute. What more could you want from a pincushion?

Its purpose is to keep your pins and needles sharp. It's filled with a mineral called "emery". Emery resembles fine metal shavings. It's used as an abrasive in industrial applications and on household items like emery boards.

I searched high and low for a larger emery pincushion with no luck, so I decided to make my own. My search for emery turned out to be another challenge. I finally found an industrial supply company that would sell it to me.

The emery I purchase is perfect for pincushions. Emery is available ground very fine to very coarse. This is the correct grade for pincushions.

I’ve been making and selling emery pincushions here on etsy since July 2006. These pincushions have become one of my best selling item. My Classic Emery Pincushions were even on Etsy’s Top 100 Items List (when we had it).

Well, I’m now offering the emery for sale so that you can make your own emery pincushions for yourself, to give as gifts, or to sell.

This listing is for 3 cups of emery. The pincushions pictured are not included in this listing.

The Classic Pincushions pictured measure approximately 2 3/4 inches (7 cm) by 1 1/2 inches (3.8 cm). I use approximately 1/8 cup emery in each pincushion.

Actually, it’s covered twice. I wanted to be sure that the emery didn’t escape through the seams or through pinholes made into the fabric. I first made a pillow from muslin and filled it with emery, then covered that with the print fabric.

These are the perfect pincushions...They're cute, they're heavy so they won't slide around your work surface, they hold your pins and needles, and they're sharpened with every jab. What more could you want from a pincushion?

This emery pincushion is for the seamstress that also enjoys her cup of hot tea!

Are you familiar with the little strawberry that comes along with the classic tomato? Do you know the purpose of the strawberry? It's an emery pincushion. Its purpose is to keep your pins and needles sharp. It’s filled with a mineral called "emery". Emery resembles fine metal shavings. It’s used as an abrasive in industrial applications and on things like emery boards.

We can all purchase the tiny strawberry, but wouldn’t you like a larger emery pincushion? A huge emery pincushion? I hope so because here it is!

This felt cup measures approximately 3 inches (7.62 cm) across at the mouth and 2.5 inches (6.35 cm) high.

It’s full of emery. I didn’t add any fiberfill or any other type of filler. It’s pure emery, tightly packed to keep those pins and needles sharp. You can stick your pins in the side of the cup as well as in the top. As with all of my pincushions, no glue is used. Your pins will receive the most benefit due to its construction.

The emery is enclosed in its own little casing inside the felt to be sure that no emery escapes through pinholes.

I love this pincushion! It’s very heavy so it won't slide around your work surface, it holds your pins and needles, they're sharpened with every jab, and it's cute. What more could you want from a pincushion?

This pincushion measures approximately 2 1/2inches (6.35 cm) square.

It’s covered twice. I wanted to be sure that the emery didn't escape through the seams or through pinholes made into the fabric. I first made a little muslin pillow filled with emery, then covered that with the cotton, print fabric.

This is the perfect pincushion...It’s cute, it’s heavy so it won't slide around your work surface, it holds your pins and needles, and they're sharpened with every jab. What more could you want from a pincushion?

Five Mini Emery Pincushions - so cute and oh so practical!

Are you familiar with the little strawberry that comes along with the famous tomato pincushion? It's an emery pincushion. Its purpose is to keep your pins and needles sharp. It’s filled with a mineral called "emery". Emery resembles fine metal shavings. It’s used as an abrasive in industrial applications and on things like emery boards.

Pincushions filled with emery will keep your pins and needles in top condition.

Why so many pincushions and why so small?

If you’re like me, you sew in many different rooms. You can leave a pincushion loaded with a few pins and needles in your sewing room, the kitchen, family room, take one to work, etc.

Another idea - Do your tiny pins get lost among the larger ones in your pincushion? Mine do. It can be difficult to find and grab that little applique pin hiding below those mega quilting pins. And where’s that needle hiding? With these Mini Emery Pincushions, you can have one devoted to sewing needles, one to quilting pins, one to applique pins, etc.

These pincushions measure approximately 1 3/8 inches (3.5 cm) square.

They’re covered in cotton fabrics. Actually, they’re each covered twice. I wanted to be sure that the emery didn’t escape through the seams or through pinholes made into the fabric. I first made little muslin pillows filled with emery, then covered those with the print fabrics.

I searched high and low for a larger emery pincushion with no luck, so I decided to start making my own.

This pincushion measures approximately 3 inches (7.62 cm) square.

The pincushion is covered in cotton fabric. I love it! It looks like ticking stripes. The stripes are navy blue and tan. It has cute little sewing motifs along the stripes - stitches, buttons, spools, scissors, and needles. Your pincushion won’t match those pictured *exactly*. The design placement is different on each one.

Actually, it’s covered twice. I wanted to be sure that the emery didn’t escape through the seams or through pinholes made into the fabric. I first made a pillow from muslin and filled it with emery, then covered that with the print fabric.

These are the perfect pincushions...They're cute, they're heavy so they won't slide around your work surface, they hold your pins and needles, and they're sharpened with every jab. What more could you want from a pincushion?

I’m so pleased to introduce my new line of Pincushion Rings. These are filled with emery!

It’s been requested many times. I’ve struggled with getting the design just right for quite some time. I finally got it. These are everything I wanted them to be.

Emery is a mineral used as an abrasive. It keeps pins and needles sharp. You know the little strawberry that comes along with the classic tomato pincushion? That strawberry is filled with emery. Now you can wear a little Emery Pincushion on your finger, keeping your pins handy and in perfect shape.

You can see what emery looks like in the second picture.

The emery is very securely tucked inside. You don’t have to worry about it escaping.

You also don’t have to worry about poking your finger. There’s an impenetrable barrier 1 1/8 inch across inside the bottom of the pincushion.

There’s no glue inside the pincushion.

There’s a very thin layer of polyester batting at the top, inside the pincushion. The emery isn’t mixed in with the batting. The emery is very tightly packed below the batting. There’s a fabric layer between the two. I set it up this way to give your pins the most benefit from the emery.

The ring is made from base metal. It’s adjustable. It’ll fit most anyone on any finger.

The fabric design placement on the ring you receive may vary slightly from the one pictured.

Your ring will arrive in a very nice ring box, ready for gift giving.

Its purpose is to keep your pins and needles sharp. It is filled with a mineral called "emery". Emery resembles fine metal shavings. It is used as an abrasive in industrial applications and on things like emery boards.

I searched high and low for a larger emery pincushion with no luck, so I decided to make my own. My search for emery turned out to be another challenge. I finally found an industrial supply company that would sell a small amount to me.

The result? Here it is. These pincushions are small, as far as pincushions go, but large for emery pincushions. They measure approximately 2 3/4 inches (7 cm) by 1 1/2 inches (3.8 cm).

Are you familiar with the little strawberry that comes along with the famous tomato pincushion (the one that happens to be featured on this fabric)? Do you know the purpose of that strawberry? Its purpose is to keep your pins and needles sharp. It's filled with a mineral called "emery". Emery resembles fine metal shavings. It's used as an abrasive in industrial applications and on things like emery boards.

I searched high and low for a larger emery pincushion with no luck, so I decided to start making my own. I've been making and selling them ever since.

This pincushion measure approximately 2 1/2inches (6.35 cm) square.

It’s covered twice. I wanted to be sure that the emery didn't escape through the seams or through pinholes made into the fabric. I first made a little muslin pillow filled with emery, then covered that with the print fabric.

This is the perfect pincushion...It’s cute, it’s heavy so it won't slide around your work surface, it holds your pins and needles, and they're sharpened with every jab. What more could you want from a pincushion?

Magnetic Tin Emery Pincushion - Black White Floral

This tin is chock full of emery. Emery is a mineral used as an abrasive to keep pins and needles sharp. You can see what emery looks like in the second photo. There’s nothing else inside the tin, just emery, no batting or any other filler.

It’s covered in a black and white floral, cotton fabric.

The lid is sealed with a heavy-duty glue. You don’t have to worry about it coming off.

There’s a magnet on the bottom of the tin. Having a magnetic pincushion attached to an older, metal machine is very convenient. You pins will stay in top condition too.

This is a great pincushion to have even if you don‘t attach it to a machine.

DO NOT PLACE THIS PINCUSHION ON OR NEAR A COMPUTERIZED MACHINE. Sorry for the caps. I don’t want anyone to miss that. The magnet can cause great damage.

The tin is 2 1/2 inches (6.35 cm) across and 1 inch (2.54 cm) high.

The pincushion you receive won’t match the photo exactly. The design placement of the fabric will be different. Same fabric, just a different part of the fabric showing.

Are you familiar with the little strawberry that comes along with the famous tomato pincushion? Do you know the purpose of that strawberry? Well, for many years, I didn't. It's an emery pincushion. Its purpose is to keep your pins and needles sharp. It's filled with a mineral called "emery". Emery resembles fine metal shavings. It's used as an abrasive in industrial applications and on household items like emery boards.

I searched high and low for a larger emery pincushion with no luck, so I decided to make my own. My search for emery turned out to be another challenge. I finally found an industrial supply company that would sell it to me.

The emery I purchase is perfect for pincushions. Emery is available ground very fine to very coarse. This is the correct grade for pincushions.

I’ve been making and selling emery pincushions here on etsy since July 2006. These pincushions have become one of my best selling item. My Classic Emery Pincushions were even on Etsy’s Top 100 Items List (when we had it).

Well, I’m now offering the emery for sale so that you can make your own emery pincushions for yourself, to give as gifts, or to sell.

This listing is for 2 cups of emery. The pincushions pictured are not included in this listing.

The Classic Pincushions pictured measure approximately 2 3/4 inches (7 cm) by 1 1/2 inches (3.8 cm). I use approximately 1/8 cup emery in each pincushion.

If you’d like a different quantity of emery, please check my shop. I have listings for ½ cup, 1 cup, 2 cups, and 3 cups. Orders of 2 cups or more are marked at a 20% discount. I suggest covering your pincushions twice with fabric. This will ensure that the emery doesn’t escape through seems or pinholes. I first make a muslin sack, fill that with emery, then cover it with a decorative fabric.

I’m so pleased to introduce my new line of Pincushion Rings. These are filled with emery!

It’s been requested many times. I’ve struggled with getting the design just right for quite some time. I finally got it. These are everything I wanted them to be.

Emery is a mineral used as an abrasive. It keeps pins and needles sharp. You know the little strawberry that comes along with the classic tomato pincushion? That strawberry is filled with emery. Now you can wear a little Emery Pincushion on your finger, keeping your pins handy and in perfect shape.

You can see what emery looks like in the second picture.

The emery is very securely tucked inside. You don’t have to worry about it escaping.

You also don’t have to worry about poking your finger. There’s an impenetrable barrier 1 1/8 inch across inside the bottom of the pincushion.

There’s no glue inside the pincushion.

There’s a very thin layer of polyester batting at the top, inside the pincushion. The emery isn’t mixed in with the batting. The emery is very tightly packed below the batting. There’s a fabric layer between the two. I set it up this way to give your pins the most benefit from the emery.

The ring is made from base metal. It’s adjustable. It’ll fit most anyone on any finger.

The fabric design placement on the ring you receive will vary slightly from the one pictured. Each one will use a different part of the print fabric.

Your ring will arrive in a very nice ring box, ready for gift giving.

Pins are not included with the ring.

Actually, it’s covered twice. I wanted to be sure that the emery didn’t escape through the seams or through pinholes made into the fabric. I first made a pillow from muslin and filled it with emery, then covered that with the print fabric.

These are the perfect pincushions...They're cute, they're heavy so they won't slide around your work surface, they hold your pins and needles, and they're sharpened with every jab. What more could you want from a pincushion?

The bag is made from two layers of cotton fabric. It has a rectangular base which allows the mouth of the bag to stay open, making dropping in your scraps effortless. (In fact, I often just snip threads and fabric right over the bag. Just turn the bag inside-out over a trashcan to empty. It measures approximately 7 1/2 inches (19 cm) across and 6 inches (15.24 cm) high.

Your bag won't match the one pictured exactly. The design placement varies for each bag and pincushion.

I’m so pleased to introduce my new line of Pincushion Rings. These are filled with emery!

It’s been requested many times. I’ve struggled with getting the design just right for quite some time. I finally got it. These are everything I wanted them to be.

Emery is a mineral used as an abrasive. It keeps pins and needles sharp. You know the little strawberry that comes along with the classic tomato pincushion? That strawberry is filled with emery. Now you can wear a little Emery Pincushion on your finger, keeping your pins handy and in perfect shape.

You can see what emery looks like in the second picture.

The emery is very securely tucked inside. You don’t have to worry about it escaping.

You also don’t have to worry about poking your finger. There’s an impenetrable barrier 1 1/8 inch across inside the bottom of the pincushion.

There’s no glue inside the pincushion.

There’s a very thin layer of polyester batting at the top, inside the pincushion. The emery isn’t mixed in with the batting. The emery is very tightly packed below the batting. There’s a fabric layer between the two. I set it up this way to give your pins the most benefit from the emery.

The ring is made from base metal. It’s adjustable. It’ll fit most anyone on any finger.

The fabric design on the ring you receive may vary slightly from the one pictured.

Your ring will arrive in a very nice ring box, ready for gift giving.

Pins are not included with the ring.

Are you familiar with the little strawberry that comes along with the famous tomato pincushion? Do you know the purpose of that strawberry? It's an emery pincushion. Its purpose is to keep your pins and needles sharp. It’s filled with a mineral called "emery". Emery resembles fine metal shavings. It’s used as an abrasive in industrial applications and on things like emery boards.

Each ravioli is filled with emery. There’s a little muslin pillow inside each one full of emery, nothing else.

My Emery Pincushions are always covered twice. This helps ensure that the emery doesn’t escape through the seams or pinholes made into the fabric. As always, no glue was used. It’s all hand-stitched.

Why would I make 5 small emery pincushions for you? There's a method to this madness.....
Do you ever have trouble grasping a small pin from your pincushion when it’s hidden below your larger pins? The raviolis will help you keep your pins and needles organized - easy to see and grasp just the one you‘re looking for. One ravioli for needles, one for large pins and one for small pins, etc. Maybe you need your quilting pins over at the ironing board, just bring that one ravioli with you. Perhaps you'd like to keep one in the kitchen, one in your sewing room, one in the family room, and so on. These little pincushions really are a convenient way to keep your pins. They're organized and sharpened with every jab. Perfect!

Each ravioli measures approximately 2.5 inches (6.35 cm) square. The emery portion is approximately 1.5 inches (3.8 cme) square.

They're made with ivory felt.

Are you familiar with the little strawberry that comes along with the famous tomato pincushion? Do you know the purpose of that strawberry? It's an emery pincushion. Its purpose is to sharpen your pins and needles. It is filled with a mineral called "emery". Emery resembles fine metal shavings. It is used as an abrasive in industrial applications and on things like emery boards.

I searched high and low for a larger emery pincushion with no luck, so I decided to start making my own.

This pincushion measures approximately 3 inches (7.62 cm) square. It’s covered in a cotton fabric featuring a teal blue and chocolate brown design.

Actually, it’s covered twice. I wanted to be sure that the emery didn’t escape through the seams or through pinholes made into the fabric. I first made a pillow from muslin and filled it with emery, then covered that with the print fabric.

These are the perfect pincushions...They're cute, they're heavy so they won't slide around your work surface, they hold your pins and needles, and they're sharpened with every jab. What more could you want from a pincushion?

Please note that you won't receive the pincushion pictured. Each one is very nearly identical though. The design placement may vary slightly.

A delicious chocolate cupcake with whipped vanilla frosting? Not exactly.

Brown acrylic felt, topped with acrylic/nylon blend frosting in a silicone cupcake liner is more accurate. Cute and rather realistic looking, isn’t it?

This cupcake pincushion is all hand stitched. No glue was used. It’s stuffed with polyester fiber-fil.

It’ll keep you pins handy and a smile on your face.

The cupcake is approximately 2 3/4 inches across (7 cm) and 2 inches (5 cm) high.

The pins are not included with the pincushion.

I searched high and low for a larger emery pincushion with no luck, so I decided to make my own. My search for emery turned out to be another challenge. I finally found an industrial supply company that would sell a small amount to me.

The result? Here it is. These pincushions are small, as far as pincushions go, but large for emery pincushions. They measure approximately 2 3/4 inches (7 cm) by 1 1/2 inches (3.8 cm). They’re covered in a black and white polka dot cotton fabric.

Actually, they’re covered twice. I wanted to be sure that the emery didn’t escape through the seams or through pinholes made into the fabric. I first made little pillows filled with emery, then covered those with the print fabric.

These are the perfect pincushions...They're cute, they're heavy so they won't slide around your work surface, they hold your pins and needles, and they're sharpened with every jab. What more could you want from a pincushion?

EMERY Pincushion Ring - Black White Floral

I’m so pleased to introduce my new line of Pincushion Rings. These are filled with emery!

It’s been requested many times. I’ve struggled with getting the design just right for quite some time. I finally got it. These are everything I wanted them to be.

Emery is a mineral used as an abrasive. It keeps pins and needles sharp. You know the little strawberry that comes along with the classic tomato pincushion? That strawberry is filled with emery. Now you can wear a little Emery Pincushion on your finger, keeping your pins handy and in perfect shape.

You can see what emery looks like in the second picture.

The emery is very securely tucked inside. You don’t have to worry about it escaping.

You also don’t have to worry about poking your finger. There’s an impenetrable barrier 1 1/8 inch across inside the bottom of the pincushion.

There’s no glue inside the pincushion.

There’s a very thin layer of polyester batting at the top, inside the pincushion. The emery isn’t mixed in with the batting. The emery is very tightly packed below the batting. There’s a fabric layer between the two. I set it up this way to give your pins the most benefit from the emery.

The ring is made from base metal. It’s adjustable. It’ll fit most anyone on any finger.

The fabric design and placement on the ring you receive will vary slightly from the one pictured.

Your ring will arrive in a very nice ring box, ready for gift giving.

This pincushion measures approximately 2 1/2inches (6.35 cm) square.

It’s covered twice. I wanted to be sure that the emery didn't escape through the seams or through pinholes made into the fabric. I first made a little muslin pillow filled with emery, then covered that with the cotton, print fabric.

This is the perfect pincushion...It’s cute, it’s heavy so it won't slide around your work surface, it holds your pins and needles, and they're sharpened with every jab. What more could you want from a pincushion?

This handy (and mighty cute) ring will move through your sewing room and whole house with you. It’s very lightweight and comfortable. The ring base is adjustable so it will fit almost anyone on any finger.

Don't worry about poking your finger. I enclosed a little impenetrable barrier in the base of the pincushion to protect your finger from over-aggressive pin jabbing.

The ring is made from base metal. The pincushion is a cotton/polyester fabric stuffed with polyester batting.

Please note that the design placement on the ring you receive may vary slightly from those pictured.

When you’re finished sewing for the day, I suggest that you transfer your pins to one of my emery pincushions (available in my shop) to keep your pins and needles sharp. When you’re ready to sew again, just load up your pincushion ring and get busy. The perfect pincushion system!
