Button, Button, Who's got the button?

This sterling silver cuff bracelet will have eight vintage mother of pearl buttons, circling your wrist. The buttons have been recycled from old clothing and are gently worn. They retain a beautiful smooth, shiny luster. I've sewn eight buttons into the sterling silver with a creamy silk thread. The surface of the cuff has been given a brushed finish, which picks up the light and gives it a modern twist, contrasting with the smooth shell of the buttons.

The bracelet is handmade by me, using a strip of sterling silver which is 4 mm wide (5/32 inch) and 1 mm thick. The metal strip is 6 inches long, and has been hammered into a cuff shape which will fit most women's wrists. It can be gently squeezed or stretched by the individual wearer for a comfortable fit. The buttons are 3/8 inch (8 mm.) in diameter and they overlap the edge of the bracelet just a little. The back of each of the knotted thread sewing has been touched with a tiny amount of strong adhesive to prevent unraveling.

This is a tiny, sterling silver birthday cake candle holder. It can be customized for anyone at any occasion. The name and date can be stamped into the silver base, and I've soldered a tiny disk to the front of the candle holder to be stamped with the number of the birthday being celebrated. Any standard size cake candle will fit securely into the holder, which is 5 mm. in diameter (inside dimensions). The spike at the base of the candle holder is approximately 2 cm (7/8") long, so it will go through a nice mound of frosting, and into the cake, preventing it from wobbling or falling.

What a perfect keepsake gift for baby's first birthday, or any special occasion! When ordering, please specify any names, dates, and numbers you want stamped into the sterling silver keepsake. I love this bracelet! A simple sterling silver adjustable chain holds sterling silver name charms. I will customize the charms with any name or message and embellish it with stamps just for you. Hand fabricated earrings featuring sterling silver disks which have been stamped at the edges with spoke lines, handmade sterling stamped spacers, and round cobalt candy jade beads. The Garden of Eden is a paradise. Images of a perfect day come to mind when I think of this Biblical Garden. This garden is tempting, too.

This necklace features a deep blue, vintage glass, floral cabochon in an unusual shape. It is bezel set in scalloped silver. The bezel is pushed into the flourishes and flower petals in the pressed glass to secure the stone. . A blue vintage glass blossom bead dangles from texture stamped loop on the bottom. I've used sterling silver bead wire loops on either side of the pendant to attach the chain and add a decorative element. This necklace is asymmetrical as on side features three evenly spaced blue, vintage, faceted beads, and the chain continues around to the other side of the pendant with a handmade front closure hook clasp. The silver has been oxidized and slightly brushed to bring out the contours of the design. The cabochon and the beads are all vintage, pressed glass, made in the 30's - 40's in slightly different, yet complimentary shades of deep blue.

The necklace is 18 inches in length. The pendant measures about 2 1/8 inches (54 mm.) wide and about 1 1/2 inches (39 mm.) long to the bottom of the dangle. The unusual shape prevents a precise measurement.

I've cut strips of metal and fashioned a stake point on one end and filed the edges so they are smooth. Then I stamped each little stake with an herb name. You can purchase the parsley, sage, rosemary, & thyme pictured, or specify the plant names you like in your buyer's notes. They can also be customized with a name or any other word (Numbers are also available). Markers are made to order.

This bracelet is tres elegant!

Four strands of tangled and twisted dark red glass seed beads are capped by a hand forged sterling silver tube cap which is slightly flaired out at the end to accommodate the strands. The sterling toggle clasp will keep it secure on your wrist. I love the slight variations in color of the beads. This bracelet is 8 inches long and hangs loosely on the wrist. Tally Mark Necklace

A sterling silver tally mark, made in a "five-bar gate" formation. I've soldered the four downward strikes to their diagonal fifth mark of sterling silver wire and formed a double bale on the back. The pendant measures about 3/4 inch square (20mm). I've suspended the tally from a simple chain, which is 18 inches, adjustable down to 16". This silver tally mark totals 5! Wouldn't it be fun to wear to a bridge or bunco game?

Party Pink - Sequin Earrings

A stack of hot pink, vintage sequins are piled high on a sterling silver curve. The end of the earring is a bright ball of sterling silver. The curve of the silver wire is gentle through the top of the wire. I've topped the stack of sequins with a tiny bit of silver which keeps the sequins from falling off the wire, but has enough play to allow them to move a bit.

From the top of the ear wire the earring will hang about 1 1/2 inches (39 mm.) and the stack of sequins is about one inch long (26 mm) and 5 mm in diameter. These flat sequins are shiny on one side and matte on the other and the edges of the stack have a muted color and a wonderful texture. The sequins were manufactured in Belgium in the 40's - 60's and are most probably a celluloid material. Celluloid is an early plastic made from a natural plant fiber.

If you like vintage with a modern twist, these are the earrings for you!

Roller Coaster Necklace

The sterling silver roller coaster pendant moves along its track on a silver ring. It is stopped at each end by silver balls. The pendant is made using square wire, which I've bent and twisted into the hills and valleys a roller coaster ride might take. The jump ring which provides the movement is soldered closed, so it won't come off the track. I've used an oxidized sterling chain with a handmade hook closure for a clasp. The pendant has a matte finish. The chain is 18 inches long, and the pendant is 1 1/4 inch (33 mm) by 5/8 inch (20 mm).

As you wear this necklace, the ring will move, changing the direction the pendant will hang. Kinetic Jewelry is fun to wear!

Initial Charm Necklace

A necklace that makes a fantastic gift!

Initial charms are sweet, and I make them from 2 squares of sheet silver. I stamp and embellish the smaller, initial square, then solder it to a larger piece of sterling silver sheet. Each charm is different and unique, as I use design stamps to embellish the edges of the initial layer of silver. The charms are about 15 mm long by 13 mm wide. It dangles from the necklace on a very sturdy jump ring. The chain flat link chain is 18 inches long. Add as many charms as you like!

Please specify a letter when ordering. Any letter (or number) is available. I will gladly add additional charms for $28 each (additional chains can also be purchased). Also, If you would like any additional wording or date stamped on the back, it will be an additional charge of $5 - $7. Pinstriped Earrings

Pinstripes make me think of men's suiting, but these dangles are decidedly feminine. A rectangle of sterling silver has been pinstriped, and dangles from a curved hanger and a French ear wire. The pinstripes are stamped and darkened and then the entire earring is polished to a shine. The striped lines are purposefully imperfect and have a few zigs for interest.

The earrings measure 1 3/8 inches (35 mm.) from the top of the ear wire and are 5/8 inch (16 mm.) wide. They are handmade entirely of sterling silver and have been marked .925. There may be slight variations in the pin-striping as each earring is handmade. They are great for everyday and gorgeous with your little black dress!

Palm Tree Lined Street Necklace

Southern California is famous for its Palm Lined Boulevards and I have walked and driven down them all of my life.

This necklace features one such street. Thirteen palm trees of varying height are stamped onto a slightly curved strip of sterling silver. A copper strip is riveted to the base of the silver with three sterling silver rivets representing the asphalt of the street. The trees are oxidized dark. It is suspended from two jump rings at the top of each side of the silver. The necklace measures 18 inches and the chain has a spring ring clasp. The jump rings are each soldered closed. The palm tree part of the necklace measures 2 3/16 inches (55 mm.) long and 7/16 inch (11 mm.) high.

White Garden Ring

A White Garden features plants with white flowers and plants which have a white or silvery cast to their foliage. This white garden fulfills those requirements, and there won't be anything to cultivate but the romance it invokes.

This ring features a vintage milk glass flora cabochon. This piece of glass was made in occupied Japan over 50 years ago by artisans who pressed molten glass into a mold to make wonderful beads and glass pieces.

I've set the white glass into a scalloped bezel setting and used sterling silver with a floral pattern to make the ring shank. The silver has been given an oxidized patina and rubbed slightly to allow the silver to shine through while remaining darkened to offset the bright white milk glass. Measurements are as follows: The setting of the ring is 1 inch (25 mm.) by 5/8 inch (17 mm.) and sits above the finger about 5/16 " (7 mm.) at its highest point. The ring is 3/16" (4.5 mm.) wide and is composed of a domed wire, rounded on the outside.

The ring pictured is a size 6, but your ring will be maid to order, size 1-12. Please include your ring size in the buyer's notes when ordering. If you are unsure of your size, I have plastic ring sizers available for purchase in my shop.

Knit Bracelet with Button

This bracelet combines 2 of my favorite things - metalwork and knitting!

I made this bracelet by knitting fine silver wire in basic stockinette stitch on the smallest knitting needles I could find. I add a buttonhole on one end to accommodate a handmade sterling silver button, which is sewn on with wire. I have reinforced the edges by wrapping it in more wire. The bracelet measures 3/4" wide and 8.5". 7.75" from button to buttonhole. If this measurement doesn't suit you, I can adjust the button for you. I will also include a length of wire suitable for you to adjust the button if needed. I can knit a bracelet to your specific size as well, just allow up to one week for production. Please specify when ordering.

This bracelet is meant to lie loosely against the skin. The fine silver sparkles as it catches the light. Pictures can't do it justice. It's Delicate, but flexible and can be blocked back into place if it gets stretched. Thanks for looking!

A Nightshade Garden is one with a variety of plants that reflect the moonlight, or a more macabre garden featuring a variety of plants with medicinal, dangerous, and possibly deadly properties. This nightshade garden will reflect moonlight with its bright white sterling silver and the black of the vintage glass reflects the darker qualities of a deadly garden without the danger or fuss of a real garden.

This necklace features a black, vintage glass, floral cabochon. It is bezel set in silver. The bezel is pushed into the flourishes and flower petals in the pressed glass to secure the stone. I've added sterling silver leaves, dots, swirls and loops to accent it in bright sterling silver. The loops on each side of the pendant are different textures for an eclectic look. A black vintage glass blossom dangles from one side. Three large loops start the chain on one side with another vintage black bead and an open link chain continues around to hook clasp. The cabochon and the beads are all vintage, pressed glass, made in the 30's - 40's to simulate carved jet.

The necklace measures 18 inches in length. The clasp, a handmade hook, connects to the pendant in the front and is a feature of the necklace. The pendant hangs 1 3/8 inch (35 mm), and is about 1 1/4 inches in width (32 mm.)

Vintage Button Earrings

These stunningly simple earrings are perfect for everyday, but I imagine them on a bride, wearing a dress with a thousand tiny buttons going down the back.

A strip of brushed sterling silver is carefully and precisely drilled so that a vintage shell or mother of pearl button can be sewn in place with cream colored silk thread. The buttons are worn, but still shows their luster. A standard post is soldered securely to the back, and sterling silver ear nuts are included. The earrings are one inch long (25 mm.) and 7/8" from the post to the bottom. The silver strips are just under 1/4 inch wide (6 mm.) The button is 3/8 inch in diameter (9 mm.).

Intaglio Roman Soldier Ring

The vintage glass cabochon features a Roman soldier. Intaglio is Italian for 'cut in' or 'carved'. The soldier design is recessed in the surface of the pressed glass. The glass is a gun metal color, and is a nice contrast to the sterling silver. I've set the cabochon in a silver bezel, and it sits on a sterling silver ring band. The simple design of the ring allows the soldier to be the feature. This ring could also be used as a signet ring to make a mark in low temp sealing wax.

The top of the ring measures 9/16" (14 mm.) by 1/2" (12 mm.) by 3/16" (5 mm.). The ring band is 1/8" wide. Your ring will be made to order in your size, just notate the size you would like in the the buyer's notes when purchasing. A green garden can consist of plants with green foliage, or one for whom the gardener has paid special attention to the environmental balance. This garden has both elements and will remain fresh through every season.

A jade green, vintage glass cabochon is the feature of this dramatic necklace. It fits nicely into its brand new setting and is accompanied by two vintage glass beads. The setting is adorned with leaves, vines and dew drops of sterling silver to complete this serene garden. The silver has a darkened patina, with glints of brightness allowed to shine through.

The handmade clasp hooks in the front, allowing it to become part of the design. The necklace is asymmetrical, but well-balanced. All metal used is sterling silver. These silver circle earrings are a favorite!

Made with sterling silver wire fashioned into circles, I hammer them flat, decorate with stamps, and dangle from a handmade french ear wire. These circles are stamped with dots on one side and lines or spokes on the other. They are just under an inch (24 mm.) in diameter, and they swing freely from a jump ring on the handmade French ear wire. From the top of the ear wire, the total length of the earrings are 1 3/8 inches (3.5 cm).

A beautiful, custom sterling silver charm bracelet. The bracelet itself is handmade of seven circle links which are hammered, stamped, oxidized, and polished on both sides. They are linked together with groupings of 3 handmade oval jump rings, and secured with a lobster clasp and 3 linked rings to adjust the length. I decorate each charm with a little boy, little girl, double wedding rings, or anything you may imagine (please ask me). I place each sterling silver strand of hair on the charms, so this can be customized too. The opposite side is stamped with a name or initials. I can also add birth dates and anniversaries. This bracelet total length is 7.5-inches, but can be customized to fit the individual.

Price is for bracelet and any three charms. The bracelet without charms is $65 and each charm is $40. Six pieces of hand cut, feather or leaf shaped patterned brass are pined to strips of sterling silver as if they were sequins with a bit of fine silver wire. The feathers move freely on their pins and catch the light nicely. They dangle from ear wires so they can swing with the wearer's movement. They measure 2 1/4 inches (57 mm.) from the top of the handmade sterling silver French ear wire.

Johnny Jump Ups are a sweet little flower, and these earring remind me of them.

They are fabricated from sterling silver and feature purple vintage glass beads suspended on sterlng silver. The color is perfect for fall. The flower is three circle petals stamped onto and cut out of sterling silver sheet. The center of the flower is a bit of recycled silver, soldered in place and polished. The earrings dangle 1 3/4 inches from the top of the hand made sterling silver French ear wire (44 mm.) and are 3/8 inch (10 mm.) at their widest point.

Sunny Flower Charm

This scalloped edge circle designs might be viewed as a sunshine or a flower. Either way, it's beautiful.

This round sterling silver charm with flower is sunny! The center design has been cut from sterling silver and soldered onto a sterling silver disk. The shape reminds me of a chrysanthemum bloom. I've stamped dots stamped around the edge of the charm, and given it a sturdy, round jump ring, which has been soldered closed.

The charm measures 5/16 inch in diameter (16 mm.), and with it's jump ring, hangs 7/8 inch (22 mm.). The jump ring has an inner diameter of 1/4" (6.5 mm.), so it can easily slip onto any chain to be worn as a pendant. If you would like to have the jump ring left open so that it may be added to a charm bracelet, please let me know in the buyer's notes when checking out.

A set of four stacking rings are handmade from square sterling silver wire. I've stamped designs on them, and hammered them. I also bevel the edges for comfort. This set includes sunbursts, dots, small swirls, and plain hammered. They are great when worn as a group of four, but I also love them individually, two, or three.

Because they are made to order, and are handmade, there will be subtle differences from the rings pictured. I've stamped 1/4 inch sterling silver disks with square spirals in a random and sometimes overlapping way to give these stud earrings a pattern with movement. The pattern is oxidized dark and polished to a shiny finish, leaving the stampings black against the bright silver. The sterling silver posts are soldered to the back of the disk, and the studs come with sterling silver ear nuts. There may be variations in stamp placement from the earrings pictured. This cuff bracelet celebrates ants. I'm always inspired by things we said when we were young, and this counting song has certainly always been a favorite!

This piece is entirely fabricated in sterling silver. I've stamped the "HURRAH"'s into the sterling silver cuff and added two ants, marching one by one along the wearer's wrist. The edges have been hammered for dimension. The bracelet is 3/16 inch (4.5 mm) wide, and is made from a 6 1/4 inch length of rectangle sterling silver wire. I've hammered it into a cuff shape, which will fit most women's wrists. It can be gently squeezed or stretched by the individual wearer for a comfortable fit. The sterling silver ants are three dimensional and they have been soldered onto the cuff. I've oxidized and polished the bracelet so the letters, ant detail, and hammer markings show a nice contrast on the silver.

Who doesn't love cupcakes? This one is for someone super special, because it has a cherry on top!

A round sterling silver charm with a fabricated cupcake. The tiny cupcake has been hand sawn from sterling silver, stamped and soldered onto the silver disk. A tiny copper cherry is perched on top, complete with a curled stem. I've stamped the charm with dots around the edge, and given it a sturdy, round jump ring, which has been soldered closed. The charm measures 5/16 inch in diameter (16 mm.), and with it's jump ring, hangs 7/8 inch (22 mm.). The jump ring has an inner diameter of 1/4" (6.5 mm.), so it can easily slip onto any chain to be worn as a pendant. If you would like to have the jump ring left open so that it may be added to a charm bracelet, please let me know in the buyer's notes when checking out.

Antique mother of pearl buttons have a wonderful luster and a special appeal. You can never just discard them. They were made enhance a special garment, but they don't wear out like fabrics do, so they are saved.

This lariat style necklace features one large mother of pearl button, which has a rainbow luster. It is set into a sterling silver bezel and suspended from an oval link chain. The button slips through a button hole fabricated from sterling silver at the other end of the chain. The button hole is a rectangle which has been given a sewn thread like texture. Above it on the chain, four smaller mother of pearl buttons are sewn onto both sides of a strip of silver with silk thread. The necklace is a sexy 23 inches, and the button pendant is an additional inch. The silver has been oxidized, which enhances the vintage feel of the entire piece.

Choose a single letter twice or two different letters. This necklace is suitable for men or women. A stylized leaf hand fabricated from copper sheet hangs from a brown suede cord. The veins of the leaf are stamped into the metal with chasing tools; the piece is oxidized and rubbed with steel wool to leave the patina in the chased indentations and a matte finish.

The copper leaf is just over one inch in length and 3/4 inch at its widest point. The cord is loosely knotted to close and is adjustable up to 26 inches long. The perfect way to celebrate fall!

Two bright sterling silver oval links are wrapped together with an oxidized sterling silver wire that has it's ends melted into balls on each end. I've wrapped the wire so that one ball is up and one is down. The handmade, sterling silver French ear wire has also been oxidized and has a decorative balled end which mirrors the connecting wire. These oxidized elements give the bright silver ovals a nice contrast. These earrings are classic, but the wrapped connector gives them pizzaz! Each element of these earrings has been burnished to a shine.

They measure 1 7/8th inch long from the top of the ear wire (48 mm.), and 1/2 inch wide (13 mm.). The ovals and wrapped wire element dangle freely as they are worn. They have a nice length without weighing down heavily.

Sea shells gathered at the beach. Who can resist picking them up? Mermaids use them as jewelry; Why shouldn't we?

A shard of black scallop shell is bezel set into sterling silver. The base overhangs the setting and has a scattering of tiny dots. The half circle hanger is stamped with radiating lines, reflecting the lines of the shell. The pendant is suspended from soldered closed ring from an 18 inch cable chain with a spring ring clasp. This is a one of a kind pendant as no two shell shards are the same. The bezel is fitted precisely to hug each curve and ruffle. The pendant is an irregular shape, mirroring the shell. It measures about 7/8 inch long by 11/16 inch wide (24 x 17 mm.). If you are interested in a different chain length, please ask!

This piece of shell was gathered by me on a Southern California Beach. No creatures were harmed in the gathering of the shell.

Cross Hatch Band Ring

These aren't really cross hatches, but the markings on this ring are similar. This is a bit more of a masculine ring, but could be suitable for anyone. This is a simple band ring that is comfortable to wear everyday. Its sterling silver and 1/4" wide. I've stamped the outside of the ring with a line pattern that I think is quite manly. The ring is given a patina, and then polished with steel wool to create a matte finish. There's no inscription or design on the inside.

This particular ring is a size 10 1/2, but I can custom make the ring for you in any size. Please specify in the notes when purchasing and allow a couple of days for production. I make these band rings with lots of designs (see my shop) as well as plain. (See the last picture)

Rose Garden Necklace

A rose garden is simply one full of roses. This garden is named for its vibrant color which will bloom all year long.

A vintage glass rose pink floral cabochon is snug in its modern sterling silver setting. The scalloped edge of the bezel has been pushed over the edge of the pressed glass floral relief. I've embellished the setting with petals, dots and swirls in sterling silver. Two vintage glass beads the same vibrant color pink accompany this dramatic pendant; one round bead incorporated into the chain and a blossom dangle at the base. The sterling silver has been given a darkened patina, with punches of bright silver showing through.

The handmade "S" hook clasp is part of the design and closes in the front. The chain for this necklace measures 18 inches in length. From the top of the loop to the bottom of the blossom dangle is 2 inches (50 mm.), and one inch (25.4 mm.) at its widest point.

A solid, sterling silver band fashioned from hammered, round wire is decorated with a hand-cut, sterling silver, heart which has been oxidized black to give it a a bold edge. Liquid Calm - Sequin Earrings

These are my new favorites! A stack of dusty blue, vintage sequins are piled high on a sterling silver curve. The end of the earring is a bright ball of sterling silver. The curve of the silver wire is gentle through the top of the wire. I've topped the stack of sequins with a tiny bit of silver which keeps the sequins from falling off the wire, but has enough play to allow them to move a bit.

From the top of the ear wire this pair of liquid calm will hang about 1 1/4 inches (35 mm.) and the stack of sequins is about one inch long (26 mm) and 5 mm in diameter. These flat sequins are shiny on one side and matte on the other, which gives the side edges of them a show of variegation in muted blue. The sequins were manufactured in Belgium in the 40's - 60's and are most probably a celluloid material. Celluloid is an early plastic made from a natural plant fiber.

If you like vintage with a modern twist, these are the earrings for you!

A swirl of blue in a sea of silver.

A beautiful blue, vintage glass cabochon stone is set in silver and surrounded by a wavy line in the bezel. The band is a comfortable rectangular strip of sterling silver, with "blue" stamped in papyrus font on the inside. It is also stamped with my maker mark and .925 to indicate sterling silver. The stone measures 15 mm. by 10 mm. The setting (stone and silver) measures 20 mm. by 13 mm. and is 7 mm. high. The ring pictured is a size 6, US but I will make it in the size you indicate. Citrine Drops

These beautiful citrine drops shimmer in the light and will bring a hint of sunshine wherever you go.

I've wrapped citrine drops in sterling silver to dangle from a handmade French ear wire. The silver is oxidized, and then brushed slightly to reveal a little of the white silver. This technique gives them an antique look. They dangle just over an inch (28 mm.) from the top of the ear wire. The drop itself is 5/8" (17 mm.) long from the top of the wire loop, and the citrine is 5/16" (8 mm.) wide at it's widest point.

Citrine is the birthstone for November and is also known as "Gold Topaz" and "Madeiria". This mellow, warm stone is believed to help the heart, kidney, digestive tract, liver, muscles, and promote creativity, help personal clarity and eliminate self-destructive tendencies. Don't we all need that?

Stealth Necklace

An homage to modernist design.

This boomerang shape is hand cut from sterling silver sheet. Suspended from two drilled holes, it will hang as if in flight. It can be worn facing either direction. The chain consists of long and short links that add to the simplicity of the design. I've given the boomerang a soft, brushed finish and filed the edges so that the points will not irritate the wearer of the necklace. The clasp is a handmade squarish hook which has angles in keeping with the chain.

The necklace is 18 inches in length. The stealthy boomerang measures 1 1/2 (35 mm) from the rounded curve to point. Point to point is 2 1/4 inches (55 mm).

The shape is reminiscent of the stealth bomber, or an abstract bird in flight.

Coral Garden Ring

A coral garden is a beautiful, natural underwater garden where a coral reef hosts a spectacle of plants, anemones, and tropical fish. You can visit this coral garden without having to travel to exotic places or even getting wet!

A fantastic vintage glass cabochon is the feature of this sterling silver ring. The coral orange color is striking and beautiful. This piece of glass was made in occupied Japan over 50 years ago by artisans who pressed molten glass into a mold to make wonderful beads and glass pieces. This piece of opaque glass features leaves and flowers.

The vintage glass has been set in a handmade sterling silver ring. The setting has a serated edge, which surrounds cabochon beautifully. It has a sterling silver leafy, floral patterned ring shank, which compliments the design of the glass nicely. The sterling silver has been given a patina to bring out the pattern and offset the bright cabochon, making it even more striking. The setting of the ring measures 7/16 inch (10 mm.) in diameter. It is about 4 mm. high from the bottom of the setting. The band is 6/16 inch wide (5 mm.)

Vintage Blue - Earrings

These light blue vintage beads are bone shaped and I've piled them up with a small round bead to make these dangles. The beads are 40's-50's era, Czech. They are pressed glass and opaque. I've wire wrapped them on bright white sterling silver. The large loop allows them to dangle and move nicely on the handmade, slightly hammered French ear wire. They are really nice to wear and the vintage glass has a special quality that grabs the eye. From the top of the ear wire they are 1 3/8 inch (37 mm.) and are 3/4 inch wide (18 mm.)

Netted Sea Glass Necklace

A treasure from the sea.

I picked up this beautiful piece of frosty white sea glass on the beach last summer while collecting sea shells. I've encased it in a looped netting of sterling silver. It is very securely fastened with more sterling silver wire. The piece reminds me of a fishing net, pulling a gem from the sea. I've hung the pendant on silk fabric sewn into a cord that is dyed ocean blue. A hand made hook clasp finishes the piece. The necklace measures 21 inches in length. The pendant is 2 inches long by 7/8 inch at it's widest point.

This is a one of a kind piece. I don't make these types of netted glass necklaces very often so they are special.

A bottle, carelessly flung into the sea by a litterbug has been refashioned by nature. The broken pieces are gently worn down by the movement of the water and sand over time into lovely bits of frosty colored glass. Sea glass or beach glass is a beautiful product of man and nature.

Green Blossom Cascade

The tiny green flowers cascade brightly down these serene earrings. Five vintage Czech glass, flower beads the color of grass are hand wired with oxidized sterling silver to five links of round oxidized sterling silver chain for each earring. The chain is suspended on a handmade sterling silver French ear wire. I've gently polished bits of the dark oxidization from the sterling silver to allow glints of shiny white silver to show through.

These dangles measure 2 3/8 inches (61 mm.) long from the top of the ear wire. The beads are 7 mm. in diameter and the chain is 9 mm. in width. (The earrings are hanging on a large serving fork in the last picture, not a dinner fork)

Garnet Brick Wall Necklace

The deep red, rectangle garnet beads reminded me of the bricks that make up the little walls in my garden. I've laid them with a mortar of fine silver wire in a subway tile formation onto a base of sterling silver. They have actually been securely sewn onto the sterling silver base with the fine silver wire. The sterling silver has been hammered so that it appears distressed behind the garnet bricks, and tiny holes have been drilled into the silver to accommodate the sewing on of the beads. The chain has been left a bright to contrast with the hammered silver of the pendant.

The pendant measures 2 cm (13/16th") by 3 cm (1 3/16th"). The necklace is 18 inches long and has a handmade hook clasp. All of the links have been soldered closed for a sturdy piece. The garnet is the birthstone of January, and is the gem of faith and truth.

This military style bar brooch features a lipstick red, vintage glass, art deco cabochon and sterling silver chevrons on either side. The bezel around the glass stone is fine silver, and sits up about 3 mm. above the backing. It has a nickel pin backing, which is soldered securely in place. White Garden Necklace

A White Garden features plants with white flowers and plants which have a white or silvery cast to their foliage. This white garden fulfills those requirements, and there won't be anything to cultivate but the romance it invokes.

This necklace features a floral, vintage, milk glass cabochon, which has been set in a scalloped bezel setting, embellished with a twist of silver and dots. The circle on top of is fabricated with sterling silver bead wire. I've also added a white blossom bead dangling playfully. Further up the chain, a three sided, ribbed bead gives the necklace an asymmetrical and eclectic charm. The cabochon and the beads are all vintage milk glass, hand manufactured from the 30's or 40's. The sterling silver parts of the necklace have been oxidized, and then slightly polished to allow the white silver to peek through, but left dark enough to highlight the white milk glass.

The necklace measures 19 inches in length. The clasp, a handmade hook, connects to the pendant in the front and is a feature of the necklace. The pendant hangs about 1 1/2 inch (38 mm), and is a little over 15/16 inch in width (24 mm.)

This necklace would be gorgeous on a bride. Ask about custom, matching earrings!

Brass Floral Field Necklace

This beautiful necklace is handmade from patterned brass sheet. The rounded triangle is cut from a sheet of metal and hammered into a slight curve for depth and dimension. It is accented by a bright Mexican turquoise bead wrapped on with sterling silver wire. The turquoise nicely compliments the bright brass, which has been slightly oxidized and polished so that the lovely floral pattern is visible.

The chain is an 18 inch sterling silver cable chain with a sterling spring ring clasp. The brass pendant measures one inch long by just over an inch wide and the turquoise dangle is 5/8 inch long. Both the pendant and the turquoise move freely on the chain.

Each waive in this bangle crashes into the next, creating a never ending circle. Fashioned entirely from sterling silver, this bangle bracelet consists of several gentle "S" pieces of sterling silver wire, which have been soldered together to form waive and undertow in a graceful and fluid pattern which is evocative of the beach in summer. Initial Charm Bracelet

A 6" sterling silver torque bracelet with one initial charm attached. I make the charms from 2 squares of sheet silver. I stamp and embellish the initial square, and it to a larger piece of sterling silver sheet. The charm is about 15 mm long by 13 mm wide, although sizes vary slightly. This charm will be suspended from the bracelet on a very sturdy jump ring. The bracelet has two sterling silver balls at each end of the cuff, one of which can be screwed off and on to accommodate more charms. Add as many charms and beads as the bracelet will hold!

Please specify a letter when ordering. Any letter (or number) is available. I will gladly add additional charms for $28 each (additional torques may also be purchased). Depression Glass Earrings

Jet black beads hang from a delicate handmade sterling silver french ear wire. The beads are vintage pressed or depression glass. The style is called 'nail head' and they are faceted on the front and smooth on the back. The edges of the bead are imperfect from the glass mold. They measure 9 mm. in diameter and are wire wrapped to dangle with a sterling headpin.

I bought a string of these beads from an estate sale with the original tag (4th picture) which says City Of Paris / Union Square / San Francisco. City of Paris was a department store in S.F. popular in the 20's, which sold only French items, and these beads were made to simulate jet during the depression when no one could afford the real thing. As a collector of depression glass, I think these earrings are really special. The bead picks up the light when it moves and it'll go with your little black dress perfectly!

Lotus Flower Hoops

A pair of simple, handmade, sterling silver hoops have been hammered just slightly. A single, tiny disk with a lotus flower stamping hang from each hoop. They are quite zen. The disk is 1/4 inch (6 mm) in diameter and can easily be removed from the hoop for an even simpler hoop. The hoop is fashioned with 20 gauge silver wire and measures just over an inch (about 28 mm.) in diameter. These are simple and classic hoops.

Zen Garden Necklace

The karesansui, or dry landscape Zen garden is one in which stone and sand compositions combine with trees, plants and architecture to express the cosmic beauty in worldly surroundings. The beauty of these gardens cultivate concentration and meditation. It takes great care and training to be the caretaker of a Zen garden, but this garden necklace will be no trouble at all.

A vintage glass cabochon with yellow and brown opaque swirls is the feature of this necklace and represents the stone as well as the combed waves of a Zen garden. It is set on a rectangle of sterling silver which has been oxidized and then scratched and stamped to make a pattern which represents the gravel and sand raking and architectural elements in a Zen garden. The clasp is a hand formed hook, which has angular aspects and has been flattened and given a finish to match the pendant. The clasp fits into a rectangle which has been cut out of the silver. The chain is is a bar link style which reflects the style of the necklace. Like a Japanese Zen garden, each element of this necklace has ben chosen with care to make it a cohesive design.

The pendant measures 1 1/4 inch (31 mm.) by 1 inch (26 mm.). The total length of the necklace is 18 1/2 inches. The clasp connects to the pendant in the front and is a feature. The glass cabochon is vintage piece of unused stock. It was produced durring the 1940's to 1960's.

Dandelion Ring

When the dandelion flower matures, it's yellow floret gives way to a spherical puff ball or "wishie" full of parachuting seeds.

This "wishie" is waiting to be blown by the wind or a child making her wish. A disk of recycled sterling silver is hand stamped with a sphere of dandelion seeds. Because it is made from recycled silver, the disk is slightly irregular and organically shaped. It is attached to a hand textured sterling silver ring band. The dandelion disk is 7/16 inch (11 mm.) in diameter and the band is 4 mm. wide. and 1 mm. thick. It will be made to order, so there will be variations in the stamping of the dandelion head. This necklace circle is a dramatic 1 1/4 inch (32 mm.), connected on either side by jump rings to its chain. The circle is hammered sterling silver, and is further embellished by stampings - spoked lines on one side, and dots all the way around the other, for a reversible necklace. The stamped design is oxidized and given a matte finish. The spring ring clasp is soldered to the sterling silver chain for a secure closure. Necklace total length is 18 inches. A sterling silver wave from the pacific ocean is suspending dramatically on a choker. This is an elegant but bold necklace. The pendant is hand fabricated from thick gauge sterling silver sheet. It's gentle spiral curl emulates a single ocean wave. The outside of the wave is hammered and oxidized black. The distressed and darkened silver look like the dark surface of the sea. The inside of the wave is a smooth and satiny shiny white, like the glassy surface of a tube wave. The bail on the back of the pendant is a tiny wave which mirrors the shape of the wave.

The pendant measures one inch long (25 mm.) , 5/8 inch wide (15 mm.), and 5/8 inch deep (15 mm.). This three dimensional pendant is suspended on a 16 inch sterling silver choker cable. Ships with insurance.

Spiral Shell and Waves Necklace

My family and I make a habit of heading to the beach at least once a week during the summer months. When I am not relaxing on my chair chatting with friends, I am in the water, where the waves lap the shore searching for shells. This is a shell shard I picked up this past summer. The perfect spiral on this snail shell looks like a stylized representation of an ocean wave at the beach and so I've set into sterling silver and carved the fine silver bezel out to look like a set of waves crashing all around the shell. The bail is another spiral, and it hangs from a lovely deep blue silk cord with a handmade hook clasp. The back of the pendant is stamped with a flock of seagulls in "V" formation, and my mark.

The pendant measures 7/8 inch (22 mm.) round and the spiral bail and jump ring extend the height about another 1/4 inch. The silk cording is knotted above the pendant to keep it secure. The length of the necklace is about 17 1/2 inches. The clasp is a hammered sterling silver handmade hook clasp, which is tied to the silk.

This necklace has an organic, casual, California feel to it. You will enjoy wearing it and it will be a wonderful conversation piece. The shell was collected from Huntington Beach state park, which is a strip of coast in Orange County, California known for its surfing community.

Three Dandelions have been stamped on sterling silver sheet in a grassy field. The scene evokes memories of late summer when these beautiful garden weeds turn from buttery yellow to white puff balls and then release their seeds on the fall wind. The third dandelion is just beginning to loose its seeds to the wind. The necklace chain is studded with nine beautiful, creamy freshwater pearls. Each pearl is hand wired into the chain to look as if they are seeds, floating away from the dandelions.

The dandelion pendant measures 1 5/16 inches (33 mm.) wide and 5/8 inch (15 mm.) long. The necklace is 18 inches in length. The pearls are 5 mm. round. The clasp is a traditional spring ring. All jump rings are soldered closed.

This unisex pendant is hand fabricated from sterling silver and features a tiny strip of copper running down the center. It is casual and easy to wear. The pendant is 1.5 inches (38 mm.) long by 7/16 inch (10 mm.) at the widest point. The silver used to fashion the pendant is a thick 1 mm. (18 gauge), which gives it a nice weight. The ring at the top is soldered securely in place and can hang from any kind of chain or cord. Two overlapping sterling silver circles are the feature of this ring. They stand up above the hand rather than lay flat. They're shiny finish makes then sure to be noticed. The ring is made from sterling silver round wire, which I've soldered the feature circles to, and bent into a ring to over lap them. The design makes the ring slightly adjustable, and the circles are meant to overlap to create the 'double wedding band' design. I've tumbled the ring to a shiny mirror finish and the silver to a full hard state.

I will make this ring to order in your size. I can also oxidize the ring for a blackened appearance, if you prefer. The overlapping circles stand up 8 mm or 5/16" above the finger. The ring shank is made from a larger gauge wire for sturdiness. I think this ring would be great worn among thin stacking rings, or alone.

The color turquoise is extremely rare in flowering plants. The Himalayan Blue Poppy and the Turquoise Crossandra are two exceptions, both of which are native to the Valley of Flowers National Park in the Indian Himalayas. This picturesque area of the world is known for its meadows of rare flowering blossoms. The Valley of Flowers Garden Necklace will get you there without any trouble at all.

This necklace features a floral, vintage, glass cabochon, which has been set in a scalloped bezel setting, embellished with a twisted vines and a leaf of sterling silver and dots of dew. I've also added a turquoise color, glass leaf bead dangeling from the vine. The chain is also adorned with two turquoise color glass beads and some large circle links. The glass beads and the floral cabochon in this necklace are vintage glass which was hand manufactured from the 30's or 40's. The sterling silver parts of the necklace have been oxidized, and then slightly polished to allow the white silver to peek through. The darkened silver gives the turquoise glass a punch of boldness.

This ring is fun and comfortable. A single length of round wire is wound 3 times on a ring form, the ends curved in, and soldered securely. It can be worn with either side facing out. The ring pictured here is a size 9 , but I will make your ring in your size, just notate the correct ring size to your buyer's comments.

This ring is approximately 1/2 inch wide (12 mm) at it's widest point and approximately 1/4 inch wide (7 mm) at it's slimmest point. This ring is really great for people who can't ordinarily wear wide ring bands. Because of the space between the wire around the backside of the ring it will have a bit of give which creates a super comfortable fit.

These sterling silver tally marks are made in a "five-bar gate" formation. I've soldered the four downward strikes to their diagonal fifth mark of sterling silver wire and a sterling silver earring post to the back. The ear nut is also sterling silver. They measure about 9/16 inch wide by 1/2 inch tall (14mm x 11mm). These silver tally marks add 5 and 5 to 10! Wouldn't they be fun to wear to a bridge or bunco game?

Curved Convex Earrings

These little beauties are dainty and casual. I've melted a pieces of scrap sterling silver into balls and then flattened them into disks in a rolling mill. This creates an imperfectly and organically shaped circle. I drill them and then hammer them into a curved little domes. They are then hung as a dangle on a handmade sterling silver French ear wire. The silver has a brushed finish.

The curved disks measure about 5/8-inches in diameter, but size may vary a little as they are not made from stock discs. They dangle about one inch from the top of the ear wire. The curvature makes them catch the light and sparkle nicely. Because they are made of recycled sterling silver, they have a natural look to them with slight pits and imperfections in the surface. I like the effect this gives. They are light and comfortable, and have a rich glow to them.
