The focal point of this necklace is a stunning piece of Landscape jasper that really lives up to it's name. Browns, tans, olive green and even a little pink can be seen in this stone that looks like a wilderness scene. It is suspended by a sterling silver bail with a coil at the bottom. The necklace is made up of deep orange natural horn lentil beads, smoky quartz, black onyx and sterling silver beads. A strong magnetic clasp finishes the piece off. The length is 17 3/4" (450 mm)

I admit it. I don't know what type of stone this is. It was in a collection of cabochons that I picked up somewhere. It is dyed, but I really like the color and the details in the stone are enhanced by the dying process. It is wrapped in sterling silver wire. The pendant measures 2 1/8" (52 mm) x 1 1/4" (36 mm)

This is a firey red fiber optic nugget choker. The beads are made from man-made fiber optic glass then cut and shaped like a stone. No two beads are alike. There is a lot of fire in the beads and the photos don't do them justice. The other elements are steel tubes, matte black glass rondell beads and vintage red seed beads. The clasp is a very strong magnetic clasp, silver in color.
The photos are a little lighter in color than the actual necklace, but then again in different types of light the beads change intensity. This is a fun piece!

This stunning pendant is composed of an iridescent labradorite cabochon border wrapped with gold filled wire. The fire in the stone is an incredible blue and the photos don't do it justice. Ocean jasper has incredibly beautiful patterns. This particular piece has a pattern of green and orange circles that look like drops of ink on paper. The red jasper bead suspended in the middle brings out the orange in the surrounding stone. This piece is truly one of a kind. Ocean jasper has incredible patterns. This particular piece has small geodes scattered over the surface which gives the pendant extra glitter and makes it more much interesting. I chose deep orange carnelian as the center bead to bring out some of the orange in the jasper. The bead has a neat circular chip near the top on one side which echoes the circle cut in the middle and some of the pattern of the jasper. This is truly one of a kind. Since both faces of the jasper are so interesting I have made the pendant double sided. The overall size is 2 3/16" (55mm) x 1 3/4" (45mm).

The natural form of azurite is too soft to be used for jewelry unless it is stabilized. The cabochon in this pendant is made from compressed lapis and malachite but is gorgeous nonetheless and it has a very natural look. The green and blue are enhanced by the frame of copper wire. The wire has been coated to slow the oxidization process. The overall size is 1 5/16" (33mm) x 5/8" (17mm).

"The term millefiori is a combination of the Italian words "mille" (thousand) and "fiori" (flowers).
The millefiori technique involves the production of glass canes or rods, known as murrine, with multicolored patterns which are viewable only from the cut ends of the cane. Millefiori beads are made of plain wound glass bead cores. Thin slices of cut cane (murrine) are being pressed into the bead surface, forming mosaic-like patterns, while the glass is still hot. Millefiori beads can be decorated sparingly with a small number of murrine or they can be covered entirely, either by the same style of murrine, or by a combination of two or more styles, applied to form a flush, smooth surface, or left protruding from the bead. The manufacture of mosaic beads can be traced back to Ancient Rome, Phoenician and Alexandrine times.
