Retro circles and squares stamp the outside of this organic shaped bowl. The bowl was fired upside down on wads of clay so that the outside texture could remain unblemished. The bare spots on the inside of the bowl do not affect the function or food safety of the bowl.

This bowl is glazed in our cobalt blue glaze. It measures 6.75 inches in diameter and is 2 inches deep (17cm x 5cm).

Our Neti Pots are used for the nasal cleansing, an age old, Ayurvedic practice called Jala Neti. After the pot is filled with warm lightly salted water, the user holds the spout to their nostril, tilts their head and allows the salt water to pour in one nostril and out the other, cleaning out allergens and irritants.

Surprisingly, use of a neti pot does not hurt. The saline solution closely matches your tears and does not burn. There are many reported benefits to regular sinus cleansing including a reduction in allergy symptoms, cold prevention, and a reduction in post nasal drip.

Teal Orchid Pot with Phalaenopsis Orchid

Long thought to be just for collectors, orchids are actually quite easy to care for. The Phalaenopsis orchids like to dry out between watering and their roots need air, hence the holes in the orchid pot.

This orchid pot is 6 inches in diameter and 3.5 inches deep (15.2cm x 8.9cm). It is pierced all over in order to allow the orchid's air roots to get both the moisture and air they need. It is handmade from durable stoneware clay.

Orchid Care:
This orchid should be watered once every 7-10 days. The medium should be almost dry before watering again. The orchid should not receive direct midday sun. An eastern facing window is a good choice, but florescent lights can provide the light needed. Usually a bright, sunny room is sufficient. A Phalaenopsis orchid can bloom for 3-6 months.

Ceramic Blossom Earrings

Soft denim and cobalt blue blossoms hang from hand forged copper hoops. Each blossom is pressed with our hand carved vine pattern.

The blossom beads are made individually in our studio using hand carved stamps. They are glazed in our moss green and iron red on the front and the backs are left bare. Add a touch of perfume or aromatic oil to the back of the earring for a lovely soft scent every time you wear them. Lisa loves vanilla oil on hers!

These hoops are 1 inch (2.5cm) in diameter and the flowers are also 1 inch (2.5cm) across. The earrings are about 1.75 inches (4.4cm) from the top of the hoop to the bottom of the blossom. They will be shipped in a lovely gift box tied with a raffia ribbon.

The Rocking Bottle is a favorite form of ours. These bottles are primarily hand built with a thrown neck added. They are fully functional. I love to display twigs of holly berries in them in winter, though now that my crocuses are blooming, they will fill these vases instead.

This mossy green rocking vase is called a Steamboat Vase, named by our youngest son who said it reminded him of a steamboat's stacks. It has three necks which make arranging your flowers or clippings easy!

Stamped Pitcher

On a quite day in the studio, this little pitcher was a fun diversion. It is .75 liter, or about 3 cups.

It was created from a flat slab of clay, stamped and then formed into a cylinder. After a bottom was added, the cylinder was put onto the wheel and bellied out. Finally, the spout was pulled, the rim cut, and the handle was added. It pours quite well.

After making a number of "soft" pen cushions, we began playing around with hard-edged versions. This 'Pen-kebana' can be used an an ikebana vase, a pen or pencil holder, a paintbrush stand, or whatever else you might think of.

Blue Beauty Stoneware Drum

This drum features an intricate design created with stamps. A turquoise glaze covers the entire piece and puddled in the hundreds of stamped recesses in the glaze firing.

It stands approximately 18" tall with a large goatskin head. This drum is handstrung and can be tuned by removing or adding knots. The Mali weave is a well known method and widely used -- and I'll send a diagram to explain tuning. (If you prefer the tuning pegs that are featured on some of the other drums in my store I would easily oblige.)
We NEVER glue on a drum head, so our drums can be tuned no matter the environment.

This instrument sounds nice and is one of a kind! You get a beautiful and beautifully constructed drum with the capability of fine tuning and head replacement.

To play this drum (as most of my drums), sit on the edge of a chair. Cross your ankles and tuck them slightly under you. Hold the drum between your knees or thighs so that the bottom of the drum hangs just above the floor. Djembe players will find a wide range of sounds can be produced from this instrument.

The drum will be shipped FedEx with adequate insurance. The head will be loosened before shipping to reduce stress to the head by extreme temperatures.
