This is very rustic yarn with some VM, as the wool came from a family farm in Oregon. Being Icelandic wool and partially felted, it is not next-to-skin soft – best for a project not meant to be worn against the skin. One ply; super bulky weight; thick and thin style. I hand-crocheted this scarf in an open, lightweight pattern of my own design. This is a crisply textured scarf, hand-crocheted from two Habu yarns in black with a white accent. One yarn is a very textured strand in black cotton with little “legs” sticking out; and the other is a polyester eyelash in black that is dotted with tiny white “snowflakes.” Each end of the scarf sports a row of large round black/silver glass beads (dichroic glass with Swarovski crystals inside the glass) that have been crocheted into the scarf. Very stunning! Scarf is 48" long and 4" wide (unstretched). Weight of scarf is 1.8 oz – light as a feather! Hand-washable, air dry.

Here’s a fun and easy knitting kit featuring 9 mini-skeins of my colorful handspun, hand-dyed, thick-thin, bulky yarn! The theme for this kit is green, as each of the multicolored mini-skeins in this kit contains a variant of green. Fibers include Merino wool, Corriedale wool, Shetland wool, Blue-Faced Leicester wool, and Merino/Tencel. This simple scarf pattern is easy and fast, and is designed to showcase the yarn. The entire scarf is knit in Garter Stitch.

This kit includes 9 mini-skeins, 14.7 yards each (132 yards total, 4.3 oz total) of handspun, hand-dyed yarn, and one knitting pattern. The PDF pattern will be emailed to you upon purchase and payment of the kit. The yarn will be mailed to you via US mail. The wool came from Frene Creek Farm in Wisconsin; it was washed and carded gently, and the yarn is warmly rustic. This yarn is almost next-to-skin soft – I just love how it feels in my hands! It has a wonderful texture and liveliness. I spun this in a lofty, three-ply yarn. There is a small amount of VM because this wool has been gently treated! 7.2 oz, 104 yards, about 3 - 4 WPI.

I have prepared for you a fabulous one-of-a-kind art yarn spinning kit! Included in this kit are:

• 4.8 oz of soft, fluffy, lovely batts with 80% Border Leicester lamb’s wool/ 10% tussah silk/ 10% kid mohair, in various blues, with crystal mother-of-pearl angelina carded in - I carded these together with my Strauch finest drum carder. There are four batts in all weighing a total of 4.8oz. The Border Leicester lamb’s wool and kid mohair came from a humane family farm in Wisconsin called Frene Creek Farm. There is some VM in the wool, as the wool was washed gently, although I got most of it out during picking and carding.

• 24 yards of black novelty thread with attached little “puffs” in various blues

• 6 one-yard strips of light blue sparkle stretch fabric with attached iridescent sequins

• 1 yard dark blue ribbon with dangling iridescent dark blue glass beads sewn on

• 6 yards of medium blue sequins

• 5.5 yards medium blue glass beads on a wire

Handspun by me from next-to-skin soft and squishy Merino wool (that was hand-dyed by Interlacements), in warm purple, hot orange, cranberry, forest green, green, lime, and reddish-brown, with lovely transitions in between. (These colors were especially hard to capture with the camera – the colors have more nuance and depth than shown in the photos.) One ply; bulky weight; thick and thin style. Mostly long color repeats. 7.3 oz, 223 yards, about 5 - 6 WPI. (There are 2 skeins here - both are shown wound together in the photo. Yardage and weight include BOTH skeins.)

Silver Romney II - Handspun Super Bulky Thick-Thin Romney Wool Yarn 120 Yds 7.7 oz

Handspun by me from lofty natural silver Romney wool. The wool came from Bonnie the ewe at Homestead Wool and Gift Farm in Wisconsin; the wool was washed and carded gently, and the yarn is warmly rustic. Being Romney wool, it is not next-to-skin soft per se – but it is very nice to work with, with a pleasing hand and liveliness. There is very little to no VM. One ply; super bulky weight; thick and thin style. 7.7 oz, 120 yards, about 3 WPI.

This yarn was hand-dyed and handspun by me from young adult Mohair, in deep blue/black, purple, fuchsia, red and rust, with lovely transitions in between. One ply; chunky weight; fuzzy and lustrous with a lovely drape and sheen. Short to medium color repeats. 7.6 oz, 131 yards, about 7 WPI.
