These "hoopy" earrings are silver circles attached to simple, super-comfortable hooks. They are handmade, one pair at a time, by me from argentium sterling silver.

They are really easy to wear, just slip the attached hook through your ear piercing. Many people have a hard time closing traditional hoops, so I decided to attach a hoop-like shape to the front of an earhook - and they turned out great!

Translucent nylon earring backs are included in case hook-style earrings tend to fall our of your ears.

I make this style in several sizes - this listing is for size large, which has a circle that is about 7/8 inch in diameter (23 mm, 2.3 cm). The hook comes down slightly longer than the bottom of the circles (see photos).

Argentium sterling silver is 92.5% pure silver and has tarnish resistant properties, so it doesn't have to be polished as often.

Silver Spiral Hook Earrings plus Pearl Charm Dangles

These modern earrings feature loose spirals on a unique style of hook. They come with a pair of removable pearl charms - slip the charms on the back of the earrings to add some feminine flair, or wear the earrings without the charms for a more modern minimalist look.

I handcraft these earrings from Argentium sterling silver. Because they are completely handmade, each pair will have slight variations, making them more unique. The spirals are slightly flattened for a more modern, funky look. I think they look very modern chic.

Measuring between 3/4 inch to 1 inch in total length, they are not too big and not too small. They are also very lightweight and comfortable to wear, and if you want to add a little more pizazz to your look, slip a removable charm over the back of the wires before you put them on.

The charms are made from fine silver and freshwater pearls. The pearls are about 5 mm in diameter and are nearly round shape. They are a light pink color, perfect for spring.

Argentium sterling silver is 92.5% pure silver with a little bit of copper and germanium. It has better tarnish resistance than regular sterling silver, so you don't have to polish it as often.

Fine silver is 99.9% pure silver.

Swirly Silver Hook Earrings with Pearl Charm Dangles

These jumbo earwires are dressed up with little swirls in the front. Wear them alone, or slip a charm over the wire (from the back) to add some dangles. The swirls in the front will keep the charm from coming off while you wear the earrings.

This pair comes with a pair of removable dangles featuring pale silvery gray pearls on fine silver wire. The pearls are about 4 mm in diameter and are a semi round shape.

These earrings are lightweight and very comfortable to wear. I made them from 20g argentium sterling silver wire, lightly hammered. They measure about 1 1/2 inches long (longer if you add the charm dangles!)

Argentium sterling is 92.5% silver mixed with a little bit of copper and germanium. Germanium gives it some tarnish resistance, so you don't need to polish it as often as "regular" sterling silver.

Fine silver is 99.9% pure silver.

The pearls are cultured freshwater pearls.

Garnet Circle Dangly Earrings

These dramatic earrings feature three deep wine-red round garnet beads dangling from silver circles. The largest bead measures 8 mm in diameter, and the circles are a bit over 1 cm in diameter. All silver components are handcrafted by me from argentium sterling silver or fine silver.

Argentium silver is 92.5% pure silver. Fine silver is 99.9% pure silver.

Garnet is the January birthstone, and is a beautiful deep, dark red, like a glass of cabernet. It's a great color to complement any winter wardrobe and coordinates beautifully with black and silver. Being a red shade, garnet jewelry would also make a good Valentines Day gift.

Earrings measure approximately 1 1/2 to 2 inches long.

My Itty Bitty hoops are just over 1 cm in diameter. This pair is made from 100% copper wire. These are great to mix and match with other hoop and stud earring styles if you have multiple piercings, or wear them alone for a more subtle look.

Copper is a great alternative metal for jewelry, with a warm orange / pink / brown color.

Clean copper earrings between wearing using mild soap and water. Rinse & dry thoroughly after washing, and store in an airtight container to slow the oxidation process.

If copper jewelry starts to look dull or tarnished, soak it in diluted lemon juice, then rinse & dry, and it should be nice and shiny again. You can also polish copper with a jewelry polishing cloth.

Technical details:

The part of the earring that goes through your ear is made from 20 gauge argentium sterling silver. Most earrings are made from 20 or 21 gauge wire, with 20 being slightly thicker. I like 20 gauge because it is a little bit stronger. If you have "tight" piercings I am happy to make you a pair with thinner 21 or even 22 gauge wire, just let me know.

Argentium sterling is 92.5% pure silver with a little copper and germanium. It doesn't tarnish as quickly as standard sterling (92.5% silver and 7.5% copper) so you don't have to polish the jewelry as often.

This pendant is handcrafted from square-shaped Argentium sterling silver wire, with an agate and an aventurine nestled into the centerpiece. I think it looks a little bit like eggs in a nest.

The colors are very subtle and natural looking, so this could be worn with many different outfits.

The pendant is about 1 inch (2.5 cm) long and comes with a sterling silver snake chain, 18" length.

About the materials:
Sterling silver is 92.5% silver and 7.5% copper.
Argentium silver is also 92.5% silver, but a little bit of the copper is replaced with germanium. This gives it better tarnish resistance, so the jewelry looks clean and shiny longer.
Many semiprecious gemstone beads are color enhanced to give them a more desirable color. In my experience, the color is permanent and does not detract in any way from the beauty of the stone. As most gemstone dealers do not disclose whether or not they treat their stones, it is difficult to tell which have been treated and which haven't. In this piece, I believe the agate is natural and the aventurine has been treated.

Tip for cleaning copper jewelry: when copper gets tarnished or dull looking, soak in lemon juice or vinegar, then rinse with water, dry and buff with a soft cloth - completely non-toxic and your copper should look nice and shiny again!

This pendant is my abstract interpretation of a grapevine. I made it by melting and fusing argentium sterling silver, then sculpting it into a curving vine shape.

Growing up in the Napa Valley, I was surrounded by vineyards, but I've always thought the image of a vine close-up is much more interesting than all the paintings of the vineyards themselves. There are some really beautiful shapes and textures in the vines.

This pendant is the first in a planned series of argentium silver vine pendants.

I used a combination of scrap metal and new metal in this piece. I try to recycle all my scraps into new jewelry pieces, and fusing is a perfect way to do that. I'm also using a metalsmithing process with very few chemicals involved. I don't use flux or pickle in my work, which are often made with harsh chemicals that then need to be disposed of - so my method is a little bit easier on the environment.

An abstract interpretation of a twig with berries on it, this unique, organic pendant is torch fused entirely from recycled argentium sterling silver scraps. Silver is completely reusable, and this piece shows that small bits and pieces can easily be remade into new jewelry.

Because of the way it was created, this is one of a kind original design. It is the first in a planned series of twig and berry designs.

The pendant is about an inch long and comes with an 18 inch sterling silver snake chain to complete the necklace.

I created this piece using my chemical-free metalsmithing techniques. I do my torchwork without flux or pickle, which are typically made with toxic chemicals that later have to be disposed of - so my method is a little easier on the environment, as well as creating a less toxic working environment for me.

Carnelian and Citrine Chunky Choker

This gorgeous choker style necklace centers around a huge carnelian disc, surrounded by smooth nugget shaped quartz beads with yellow citrine inclusions and natural carnelian smooth nugget beads. It is finished off with a handcrafted argentium sterling silver clasp and chain, with small carnelian and citrine accent beads.

Length is adjustable from approximately 14 inches to 17 inches (an inch or two can be added, if requested, by lengthening the chain in back).

The focal bead is about 1 1/2 inches in diameter. This is not a lightweight necklace! The big, bold beads really make a statement.

I handcrafted all metal components from sterling silver, argentium sterling silver, and fine silver. I strung the beads on sterling wire, then created the clasp and chain to finish the piece.

Bead colors range from the deep red / orange of the carnelian focal to lighter oranges and yellows to clear. Some of the darker beads have been treated by the supplier I get them from to enhance their color. Citrine is commonly heat treated to bring out the yellow.

These sweet little pearls are called "platinum rose" by the supplier I bought them from. I call them light gray, but they do have rosy, warm undertones. They are about 5mm in diameter.

The earrings will blend in well to a jewelry wardrobe that emphasizes silver and cool colors, but the warm undertones to the pearls mean that they could also work with beige and other warmer-toned neutrals.

They are small and lightweight, feminine, and adorable. Sophisticated enough for a businesswoman, but petite enough to be appropriate for a young girl just starting to wear dangly earrings.

Clean copper earrings between wearing using mild soap and water. Rinse & dry thoroughly after washing, and store in an airtight container to slow the oxidation process.

Wings - fused sculptural silver pendant

A truly unique piece of art jewelry - this pendant was sculpted with a torch from sterling silver, then accented with a lovely peridot-green glass bead

I call it "Wings" because from a certain angle it reminds me of a butterfly wing, and when I saw it reflected in a mirror, it really looked like a silver butterfly.

The technique I use to "fire sculpt" this kind of piece is something of a cross between fusing and casting, with unpredictable (but really interesting) results. I begin by hand-sculpting wire into various shapes, then fuse and melt them with my torch.

I incorporate lots of my scrap metal into these one of a kind pieces, so not only are they one of a kind, they are also made with upcycled / recycled silver. Scraps include little bits of wire, broken jewelry, random damaged findings (such as earwires), and designs that didn't quite work out. I really enjoy this kind of recycling because I'm left with such beautiful, unique jewelry! And if a piece doesn't work, I can recycle it into another piece, or send it back to a refiner for new wire.

These turquoise beads have been stabilized, which means they are treated with a resin material to make them harder. Natural turquoise is usually very soft and not durable enough for normal wear and tear, so most beads are treated this way to make them last longer.

This listing is for a pair of my itty bitty hoops in argentium sterling silver, plus a pair of removable peridot dangles on fine silver head pins.

Wear the hoops alone for a more understated chic look - they measure approximately 1 cm (10 mm) in diameter - or slip the peridot drops on before fastening them for a little more sparkle.

For everyday wear, I wear a pair of these hoops in my first ear piercing and a pair of my tiny silver ball stud earrings in my second piercing.

Hoops have a lightly hammered texture. Each pair is made by me and has slight variations that make it unique.

Technical Details:

Peridot beads are "rondelle" shape and have tiny facets. They are 5-6 mm at the widest point and vary slightly in size and shape. The bead in the image is a sample, yours may be slightly larger or smaller.

These hoop-style earrings are silver circles attached to simple, super-comfortable hooks. They are handmade, one pair at a time, by me from argentium sterling silver.

The circle shape is classic and modern at the same time - it never goes out of style! I have lots of earrings with circle motifs in my shop, whether you like traditional hoops, studs, hooks, dangly -- I make them all.

Tip for cleaning copper jewelry: when copper gets tarnished or dull looking, soak in lemon juice or vinegar, then rinse with water, dry and buff with a soft cloth - completely non-toxic and your copper should look nice and shiny again!

Silver Spiral Stud Earrings with loop

These stud earrings are spirals with a little twist - there is a v-shaped loop at the bottom.

They can be worn alone for a modern, understated look, or combined with many of my other earring styles if you have multiple piercings.

Because I make each one by hand, there will be slight variations, as seen in the photos (which aren't all of the same earring). The earrings shown are approximately 1/3 inch at the longest point, and about 1/4 inch wide at the narrower part of the spiral. They are made from 20g argentium sterling silver wire.
