$45.00
Welcome to the world of the Metavores. Envisioned by Toymaker back in 2001, the world of the Metavores is a glimpse into our own future.

Humankind transcended it's biological heritage by uploading their consciousness to computers, in a bid to achieve immortality. Of course computers have a mortality of their own, so in order to survive in their new digital universe, these digital humans created servants to go out and collect the materials necessary to sustain their electronic hosts.

Over time, these servants grew more and more complicated and sophisticated, until one day they simply stopped listening, and focused on their own personal requirements for survival. Realizing they were doomed if they stayed in their computer shells, these humans downloaded their consciousness back into electronic bodies. Unfortunately for them, the bipedal body they chose was no longer at the top of the 'Food chain.'

This Metavore is built to act as an observer or scout. Modelled after a butterfly, it is fast flying and highly maneuverable. They made ideal scouts for the digital overlords. Since losing their connection to their digital masters, they've become scavengers, not having any weapon or combat abilities of their own. They've been able to survive mostly because they're so difficult to swat.

Envisioned by Toymaker back in 2001, the world of the Metavores is a glimpse into our own future.

Humankind transcended it's biological heritage by uploading their consciousness to computers, in a bid to achieve immortality. Unfortunately for them, the bipedal body they chose was no longer at the top of the 'Food chain.'

This Metavore is built to mimic the pre-historic Velociraptor. Agile and strong, these creatures were created once the digital overlords started using creatures to combat each other for control of electronic resources. Fearsome hunters, they have many sense-modes to be able to track and overcome their prey.
