Bed of Roses

$7.00
Bed of Roses is an interactive art piece that lets the buyer become a part of the art process. Create your own small garden of sculptural painted flowers that you can “plant” anywhere. This handmade sculpture is small enough to fit in a pocket and build a garden wherever you go! Included in each set is a grassbed and a dozen roses handcrafted in paint and wire. Just push the stems in and a garden awaits.

I originally conceived Bed of Roses as a gift for my brother Bob who worked in a large corporation and worked in a small cubicle with not a lot of room for personalization. With these limitations in mind, I created a small garden of sculptural painted flowers that he could plant himself. He not only loved it, but so did my friends who bought them for gifts. After making these first pieces, I thought others might enjoy a similar experience. Sold only on Etsy, Craftland in Providence, RI, and by special request.
