This started out to be a cat but it looks very much like a dog. (no whiskers)
Also, I tried to make him look scared. The bee hive is added just to give him something to be worried about,
but sometimes he seems to be saying...
I couldn't care less, it's a bead not a bee!
All depends on how closely you look.

Needle felted with natural wool batt and a paper thin top layer of gray merino roving for color interest.
Comes with the beehive too of course.

Keep out of the reach of children under 3.

Can you tell I like making these? This one measures 3" high x 2" wide. It's a smaller or more affordable version of my classic signature piece. Needlefelted with clean, carded wool. Vintage buttons are dug out of the box and put to use. It hangs with a small loop of gold thread. Thank-you for looking =) ~Elaine

This one measures approx 3" x 5" which is a little bit larger scale than my last offering. It's needle felted with wool roving, and has 1 vintage and 1 newish button attached. I use whatever supplies are available so each time I create this same theme it always comes out a little bit different. Thank-you for taking the time to look at my art. ~Elaine

What is it in me that wants to churn out little felted Madonnas? I don't know the answer. All I know is that when I'm making these I have such a feeling of peace and when I'm done...I want to create another.
This latest one measures 3 3/4" x 2". This one has a 4" hanger. I never really plan on any particular size or length. It just happens that way. Each ornament is just a little bit different from the last or the next. I suppose that makes it all the nicer.

For this holiday season I've created a series of 3 Nativity scenes that are unique because they are hand made and yet similar in design. Please note that this particular design will not be repeated again. They are in graduated sizes. This listing is for the second or mid-size in the series.

Mother Mary is cradling Jesus in her arms with St. Joseph by her side.

I used 100% wool rovings and vintage buttons for this one. It is carefully needle felted by hand. Attention is made to quality. It measures about 2 1/2 h x 2 3/4 w.

The colors are in earthy tones of blue, green, brown, beige and gray.
This piece can sit alone on a shelf or with greens on the mantle. But it would look especially nice nestled on a branch of the Christmas tree.

In the group photo this is the one in the middle.
This listing is for just this item and not the whole series.

It comes with a signed card telling the series and number.
