This dress is from my Fall 2009 collection, which includes dresses, tops, skirts and hats made entirely from vintage and upcycled materials!

This 1970s-inspired dress was super-fun to make! The majority of the dress is made from vintage 1970s stretchy & slinky polyester fabric ~ it's a beautiful shade of navy blue with iridiscent polka dots. It has a stylin' disco wing collar, short cap sleeves, a flowy skirt and attached side belts that tie in the back for an adjustable waist. The middle diamond-shaped inset is made from the remnants of a light blue cotton t-shirt from Built by Wendy called "Drinking & Smoking" with sketches of the amazing Kristy McNichol & Linda Manz. There are no closures - just slip it on and you're ready to go! 100% one-of-a-kind!

I incorporated my worn-out, but beloved, Built By Wendy JACKIE EARLE HALEY t-shirt, featuring Jackie Earle Haley in THE BAD NEWS BEARS and BREAKING AWAY, into this design. The dress has short puff sleeves and a very full and flowing tent silhouette that will fit and flatter many sizes! It has no closures - just pull it on and you're ready to go. Super-comfy and 100% one-of-a-kind!

1960s space-age inspired dress made from vintage heather brown knit fabric. I incorporated my worn-out, but beloved, Built By Wendy ORDINARY PEOPLE t-shirt, featuring Timothy Hutton as Conrad Jarrett, into this design (seriously, though - who didn't love Timothy Hutton as Conrad Jarrett in ORDINARY PEOPLE?). The dress is sleeveless, has an a-line shape, and top-stitched seams. It has no closures - just pull it on and you're ready to go. Super-comfy & 100% one-of-a-kind!

This dress is from my Fall 2009 collection, which includes dresses, tops, skirts and hats made entirely from vintage and upcycled materials!

This particular dress is made from 3 different pieces of recycled vintage clothing. The skirt, made from a vibrant lavendar poly/cotton blend fabric with white pinstripes was salvaged from a vintage 1970s house coat. It has amazing, HUGE side pockets that are decorated with white and pink appliqued/embroidered flowers! The top half of the dress is made from a vintage 1970s polyester blouse with an incredible pleated & ruffled collar that buttons up the front. It has elbow-length sleeves with elasticized cuffs that form a ruffle at the end of each sleeve. The dress has a comfy elastic empire waistline, so it will fit many sizes. Includes a pink tie-on cummerbund belt that was salvaged from another vintage dress. 100% one-of-a-kind!

The front and back yokes of the top are constructed from a piece of cotton remnant fabric that's printed with tons of different horses. Both yokes are lined with contrasting black fabric. The cap sleeves and body of the top are made from black poly/cotton suiting fabric. It has a flared babydoll silhouette that will fit & flatter lots of different sizes. There are no closures - just slip it on and you're ready to go. A perfect layering piece for your upcoming fall wardrobe, plus it's 100% one-of-a-kind!

The top is constructed from soft pale yellow floral motif vintage poly/cotton stretch knit fabric. It has short puff sleeves, and I used bright turquoise rib knit for the sleeve bands, waistband and neckline. I added an ornate white linen and lace Victorian collar (rescued from a ruined vintage dress) to the front neckline. 100% one-of-a-kind!

The front and back yokes are made from chestnut brown velvet that I borrowed from a frumpy vintage skirt. The top has 3/4 length puff sleeves, a slit at the front neckline, and a long bow tie secretary collar that you can wear several different ways. The top also has a flared babydoll silhouette that will fit & flatter many sizes. 100% one-of-a-kind!

It's made from crazy vintage 1980s black polished cotton fabric printed with abstract brushstrokes! It has a gathered round neckline and elbow-length raglan sleeves with cute tied cuffs. Really lovely vintage early 1960s dress! Made from black, blue and white plaid cotton fabric. Short sleeves, fitted wiggle skirt and unique notched neckline trimmed with contrasting piping. The dress has a metal side seam zipper and a short metal zipper at the back neckline. Includes a matching jacket with elbow-length sleeves, piping trim around the neckline and bottom band and no closures. Made by "Travables" by Mendel.

Here's a late 1960s-influenced blouse that I made from new stretch poplin fabric that's printed with the most amazing abstract design. I could seriously wear this same blouse every day (made in lots of different fabrics, of course!). The puff sleeves have contrasting black cotton cuffs and the oversized Peter Pan collar is made from the same black fabric. Zips up the back with a contrasting turquoise zipper.

This is one of the loveliest (and sexiest) vintage 1970s nightgowns that I have ever seen! It's made from 100% bright teal nylon that truly glows in the light and looks like liquid silk, which gives it a very 1930s vibe! It has a very low-cut, bare back with teeny criss-cross straps. The front bodice is also very bare with a V-neckline and gathered empire waist triangle cups that are decorated with a floral cut-out applique. Made by Shadowline.

From a smoke-free (but not pet-free) home. The nightgown is in excellent vintage condition with no visible flaws to note! The actual color of the nightgown is more green than the blue pictured - my camera washed out the deep teal color.

Awesome vintage 1980s Jordache jacket! Made from cranberry-colored cotton corduroy. Unlined. It has long sleeves that snap/button at the cuffs, a standing collar and side pockets that are decorated with non-functional welt flaps. Really cool vintage 1960s white enamel pendant necklace. Upside down Art Deco tulip shape with a cluster of teeny-tiny flowers. Attached to a white enamel chain. This is a high-quality, heavyweight necklace. The pendant itself measures 2.5" at the widest point x 2.75" tall. The total length of the chain is 23". The necklace (including the pendant) hangs at 14.5" in length.
