Pincushion - Felted Wool, Chocolate and Vanilla Cupcake

$28.00
Size: about 2 ¼ inches (5.5 cm) wide by 2 inches (5 cm) tall.
Color: Chocolate brown wool topped with creamy white "frosting"

Here is a pincushion I made entirely from wool! The lanolin oils in wool make it great for keeping pins and needles from rusting.

I needle felted this little cutie, sculpting its shape from loose fibers with barbed needles. It’s very firm, lightweight and fits so nicely in the hand.

The quilting pins pictured are included! Pincushions come packaged in a cute cupcake paper in a clear plastic box tied with a ribbon, ready for gift giving.

These items are made to order and will vary slightly from the image shown, but not by much :)

I ship first class within 3 business days of receiving payment. I accept credit cards and you don’t even need a PayPal account, but choose the PayPal option when you check out, then follow the instructions from there.

Massachusetts residents will be charged sales tax on the PayPal end of the transaction. Let me know if you have any questions!

Thanks so much

Cards - Edgartown Lighthouse, set of 4, FREE Shipping in USA

$12.00
FREE SHIPPING within the USA!

This is a set of 4 blank note cards with 4 ivory envelopes. The cards measure 4 ¼ inches by 5 ½ inches each.

This image of the Edgartown Lighthouse is from a watercolor by my mom, Marilyn Smith Rosenfeld and is printed on ivory, acid-free, smooth heavy stock. I print, cut, fold and assemble each card individually; mounting the image on blue cardstock and creating a liner from a lighter weight, smooth finish, ivory paper.

Mom painted this view of Edgartown Light on Martha’s Vineyard from North Water Street. You can see roses blooming on a picket fence in the foreground and Chappaquiddick Island in the background beyond the harbor.

Marilyn Smith Rosenfeld was trained in oil painting and worked in that medium for many years. In 1984 she took a class in journaling with illustration from nature and began drawing and making watercolors. She always paints from life and often shows up early to various appointments so she can draw the scene out the car window. She is also inspired by the elegant shapes of fruits and vegetables, flowers of all kinds, and the vessels she has been collecting for years. Everyone loves giving her flowers as she is likely to make a painting of the bouquet!

We hope you enjoy the product of this very satisfying collaboration.

I ship first class within 2 days of receiving payment. I accept credit cards and you don’t even need a PayPal account, but choose the PayPal option when you check out, then follow the instructions from there.

Massachusetts residents will be charged 5% sales tax.
Egg Ornament - Polymer Clay Over Eggshell, Yellow Flowers

$35.00
What is it about an egg? I am obsessed with the perfect shape and all the symbolism therein. I hang them all over my house year 'round.

I created this egg ornament by (carefully) blowing out a large chicken eggshell. I covered it (so carefully!) with slices of a polymer clay cane I made with the image of a yellow flower. Then I baked and sanded it to give it a smooth finish. I make all my own designs and I don’t use any paint, all the colors come from the clay.

When it's got a hard protective casing of cured polymer clay, the egg is not so fragile. (True that, I've dropped them in the sink while sanding and they just bounce around unharmed, phew!)

This ornament hangs by a green ribbon through a brass loop. Though I may use the same patterns on several eggs, all the eggs are slightly different, couldn't repeat them if I tried.

You can see more eggs in my shop here:
http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=5005589&page=1&section_id=5034972&order=

Each egg comes nested in its own bed of shredded tissue attractively arranged in a clear plastic box adorned by a raffia ribbon. I'll include information about how I made the egg. (You'll still end up explaining "Yes, a real eggshell!" to everyone who sees it.)

I will ship egg first class within two days of receiving payment. I accept credit cards and you don’t even need a PayPal account, but choose the PayPal option when you check out, then follow the instructions from there. Massachusetts residents will be charged 5% sales tax. Let me know if you have any questions!

Thanks so much

The lanolin oils in wool make it great for keeping pins and needles from rusting.

I needle felted this little cutie, sculpting its shape from loose fibers with barbed needles. It’s very firm, lightweight and fits so nicely in the hand.

The quilting pins pictured are included! Pincushions come packaged in their own nest of tissue paper in a clear plastic box tied with a ribbon, ready for gift giving.

These items are made to order and will vary slightly from the image shown, but not by much :)

You can see more pincushions in my shop here:
http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=5005589§ion_id=5177809

I ship first class within 2 days of receiving payment. The cards measure 4 ¼ inches by 5 ½ inches each.

This image of a red wagon with a flowering plant on the deck in the woods is from a water color drawing by Marilyn Smith Rosenfeld and is printed on ivory, acid-free, smooth heavy stock. I print, cut and assemble each card individually; mounting the image on red cardstock and creating a liner from a lighter weight, smooth finish, ivory paper.

This sweet image was painted from life on the island of Martha’s Vineyard.

The artist who painted this beautiful image, Marilyn Smith Rosenfeld, is my mother. She was trained in oil painting and worked in that medium for many years.

Note: the watermark will not appear on the actual cards

I ship first class within 3 business days of receiving payment.
$12.00
FREE SHIPPING within the USA!

This is a set of 4 blank note cards with 4 ivory envelopes. The cards measure 4 ¼ inches by 5 ½ inches each.

This image of a blooming Amaryllis is from a watercolor by Marilyn Smith Rosenfeld and is printed on ivory, acid-free, smooth heavy stock. I print, cut and assemble each card individually; mounting the image on lime cardstock and creating a liner from a lighter weight, smooth finish, ivory paper.

In the artist’s words:
“A friend was moving so she gave me this plant. It put up a stalk, three feet tall with four huge buds. It bloomed, each blossom large, white, with delicate peppermint stripes.”

The artist who painted this beautiful image, Marilyn Smith Rosenfeld, is my mother. She was trained in oil painting and worked in that medium for many years.

Note: the watermark will not appear on the actual cards

I ship first class within 2 days of receiving payment. I accept credit cards and you don’t even need a PayPal account, but choose the PayPal option when you check out, then follow the instructions from there. Massachusetts residents will be charged 5% sales tax.

Pincushions come packaged in their own cupcake sleeve in a clear plastic box tied with a ribbon, ready for gift giving.

These items are made to order and will vary slightly from the image shown, but not by much :)

Please note! The cards measure 4 ¼ inches by 5 ½ inches each.

This image of Winterberry and Wild Rose sprigs is from a colored pencil drawing by Marilyn Smith Rosenfeld. These seasonal sprigs were drawn on the island of Martha’s Vineyard.

The image is printed on ivory, acid-free, smooth, heavy stock. I print, cut and assemble each card individually; mounting the image on red cardstock and creating a liner from a lighter weight, smooth finish, ivory paper.

The artist who drew this beautiful image, Marilyn Smith Rosenfeld, is my mother. She was trained in oil painting and worked in that medium for many years.

Egg Ornament - Polymer Clay Over Eggshell, Geology

$35.00
What is it about an egg? I am obsessed with the perfect shape and all the symbolism therein. I hang them all over my house year 'round.

I created this egg ornament by (carefully) blowing out a large chicken eggshell. I covered it with polymer clay swirls of white, black, mint and various browns and gold polymer clay (so carefully!) baked, sanded and buffed it to give it a lovely smooth surface. I make all my own designs and I don’t use any paint, all the colors come from the clay.

When it's got a hard protective casing of cured polymer clay, the egg is not so fragile. (True that, I've dropped them in the sink while sanding and they just bounce around unharmed, phew!)

This ornament hangs by a thin white ribbon through a painted brass loop. Though I may use the same patterns on several eggs, all the eggs are different, couldn't repeat them if I tried.

Each egg comes nested in its own bed of shredded tissue attractively arranged in a clear plastic box adorned by a raffia ribbon. I'll include information about how I made the egg. (You'll still end up explaining "Yes, a real eggshell!" to everyone who sees it.)

I will ship egg first class within 3 business days of receiving payment.

I accept credit cards and you don’t even need a PayPal account, but choose the PayPal option when you check out, then follow the instructions from there.

Massachusetts residents will be charged sales tax. Wool is great for keeping pins and needles from rusting. I needle felted this little cutie, sculpting its shape from loose fibers with barbed needles. It’s very firm, lightweight and fits so nicely in the hand. The top is one of my felted nests, like the ones I make brooches with.

The quilting pins pictured are included! Pincushions come packaged in their own nest of tissue paper shreds in a clear plastic box tied with a ribbon, ready for gift giving.

These items are made to order and may vary slightly from the image shown, but not by much :)

I ship first class within 3 business days of receiving payment.
Ring - Pink Oval, Polymer Clay Optical Diamonds

I impressed sparkly pink clay with a diamond pattern and then sanded it so the ghost of the image remains but the surface is smooth and shiny. The effect is a shimmery 3-D optical illusion of depth and movement.

The adjustable ring base is a silver colored basemetal with a pretty leaf pattern embossed into it.

Each ring is made to order and will vary slightly from the image shown.

I ship first class within 2 days of receiving payment.

I accept credit cards and you don’t even need a PayPal account, but choose the PayPal option when you check out, then follow the instructions from there.

Massachusetts residents will be charged 5% sales tax on the PayPal end of the transaction.

Let me know if you have any questions!

Thank you!
Cards - Daffodils, set of 4 FREE USA Shipping

$12.00
FREE SHIPPING within the USA!

This is a set of 4 blank note cards with 4 ivory envelopes. The cards measure 4 ¼ inches by 5 ½ inches each.

This image is a reproduction of a watercolor made by Marilyn Smith Rosenfeld and is printed on ivory, acid-free, heavy stock that has a lovely creamy texture. I print, cut and assemble each card individually; mounting the image on papaya colored cardstock and creating liners from a lighter weight ivory paper.

This bouquet of daffodils was from an artist friend who came for lunch.

The artist who painted this beautiful image, Marilyn Smith Rosenfeld, is my mother. She was trained in oil painting and worked in that medium for many years.

Note: the watermark will not appear on the actual cards

I ship first class within 2 days of receiving payment. Thank you!
Sleepy Sheep has a creamy white face with a little pink in the ears and a mottled brown/gray wooly coat.

Sleepy Sheep is a needle felted creature I sculpted with loose wool roving. Wool roving is like a cloud of cotton candy, when I poked it repeatedly with barbed needles it became a solid fabric, I was careful to poke it into the shape of a Sleepy Sheep :)

I will be making Sleepy Sheep to order so yours will be unique and perhaps not exactly like the one in the picture, but it will be very close as they are all cousins :)

I ship first class within 3 business days of receiving payment.

I accept credit cards and you don’t even need a PayPal account, but choose the PayPal option when you check out, then follow the instructions from there.

Massachusetts residents will be charged sales tax on the PayPal end of the transaction. Though I may use the same patterns on several eggs, all the eggs are slightly different, couldn't repeat them if I tried.

You can see more eggs in my shop here:
http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=5005589&page=1§ion_id=5034972&order=

Each egg comes nested in its own bed of shredded tissue attractively arranged in a clear plastic box adorned by a raffia ribbon. I'll include information about how I made the egg. (You'll still end up explaining "Yes, a real eggshell!" to everyone who sees it.)

I will ship egg first class within 3 busines days of receiving payment.

I accept credit cards and you don’t even need a PayPal account, but choose the PayPal option when you check out, then follow the instructions from there.

Massachusetts residents will be charged sales tax. There is a one inch pinback sewed and glued onto the reverse.

I created this flower pin by needle felting beautiful natural wool roving. I sculpted each petal individually then felted them all together to make the layers. I love going through my vintage button collection to find the perfect ones to sew in the center. This one is vintage red bakelite

I gave a flower to a friend who thought I had just cut the petals out of felt fabric, then she saw me endlessly poking at loose wool with tiny needles and realized it’s a whole other craft!

I ship first class within 3 days of receiving payment.

I accept credit cards and you don’t even need a PayPal account, but choose the PayPal option when you check out, then follow the instructions from there.

Massachusetts residents will be charged sales tax.

Let me know if you have any questions!
Cards - New Baby, set of 4, FREE USA Shipping

$12.00
FREE SHIPPING within the USA!

This is a set of 4 blank note cards with 4 ivory envelopes. The cards measure 4 ¼ inches by 5 ½ inches each. This set includes two pink cards and two blue.

This image of antique building blocks is from a colored pencil drawing by Marilyn Smith Rosenfeld and is printed on ivory, acid-free, smooth heavy stock. I print, cut and assemble each card individually; mounting the image on pink or blue cardstock and creating liners from a lighter weight, smooth finish, ivory paper.

The artist who painted this beautiful image, Marilyn Smith Rosenfeld, is my mother. She was trained in oil painting and worked in that medium for many years.

When my husband and I visited my parents on Martha’s Vineyard this past summer, we found these fantastic antique blocks at a quirky shop in Vineyard Haven. I knew mom would love them so we gave them to her as a thank you gift for hosting us. Before we knew it she had made a beautiful drawing that I think makes a great congratulations for a new baby card.

Let me know if you have any questions!

Thanks so much

Necklace - Cat Face Pendant in Polymer Clay

$18.00
I created this pendant entirely from polymer clay! You can see a series of pictures I took documenting the process by copying and pasting this Flickr address into your browser bar:
http://www.flickr.com/photos/madeinlowell/sets/72157603996014037/

The pendant is about 1 1/4 inches (3 cm) across and about 3/16 (5 mm) thick. It has a smooth matte finish.

I strung it on a 16 inch (46 cm) brown silicone cord with a sterling jump ring. Let me know if you would prefer a black cord or either cord at 18 inches.

I used a picture of my fab kitteh, Chester, to make a stylized cat face with different colors of clay. I made a log with the picture running through the whole length, then I cut slices and baked them, then I sanded them smooth!

This pendant is a slice of the log so the picture is on both sides.

I ship first class within 3 business days of receiving payment. I accept credit cards and you don’t even need a PayPal account, but choose the PayPal option when you check out, then follow the instructions from there.

Massachusetts residents will be charged sales tax on the PayPal end of the transaction. I have a whole garden’s worth! I love wearing them on hats, scarves, jacket lapels, bags and sweaters. All the color is from the clay, I didn't use any paint. After I bake the clay, I hand sand the surfaces to reveal the pattern and buff each piece to a smooth matte finish.

*Each piece is unique, I couldn’t exactly reproduce the results if I tried! The earrings you receive may not be the exact ones in the picture, but will be very, very similar.*

All earrings come in a craft-colored gift box with a raffia ribbon (removable so you can look inside and then put it back on!) I ship most orders within 3 days, first class mail. The cards measure 4 ¼ inches by 5 ½ inches each.

This image is a reproduction of a watercolor made by Marilyn Smith Rosenfeld and is printed on ivory, acid-free, heavy stock that has a lovely creamy texture. I print, cut and assemble each card individually; mounting the image on plum cardstock and creating liners from a lighter weight ivory paper.

These lilacs are from Sophie’s yard. She was a remarkable person; always smiling, she was a spinner and made great tea, boiling the water on her 1920’s stove.

The artist who painted this beautiful image, Marilyn Smith Rosenfeld, is my mother. She was trained in oil painting and worked in that medium for many years.

Note: the watermark will not appear on the actual cards

I ship first class within 2 days of receiving payment. I accept credit cards and you don’t even need a PayPal account, but choose the PayPal option when you check out, then follow the instructions from there. Massachusetts residents will be charged 5% sales tax at checkout. Let me know if you have any questions!

Thanks so much :)

The cards measure 4 ¼ inches by 5 ½ inches each.

The images are from watercolors by Marilyn Smith Rosenfeld and are printed on ivory, acid-free, heavy stock. I print, cut and assemble each card individually; mounting the image on red cardstock and creating a liner from a lighter weight, smooth finish, ivory paper.

These are chickens that roam freely in Molly's yard. Molly lives in a shingled house by the pond.

The artist who painted this beautiful image, Marilyn Smith Rosenfeld, is my mother.
Egg Ornament - Polymer Clay Over Eggshell, Yellow Flowers 2

$35.00
What is it about an egg? I am obsessed with the perfect shape and all the symbolism therein. I hang them all over my house year 'round.

I created this egg ornament by (carefully) blowing out a large chicken eggshell. I covered it (so carefully!) with slices of a cane I made from polymer clay with the abstract image of a flower.
