Slip on this striking, lightweight necklace and you'll be turning heads wherever you go!

Each rectangle of silver was cut and shaped by hand. The silver "bar" chain was made by hand as well. The chain is fashioned in such a way that allows the necklace to drape like a collar around the neckline.

The hook and eye clasp was hand forged and is adjustable; the necklace can be worn at either 16.5 or 18.5 inches.

The entire piece was patinated, then selectively sanded to create the contrasting dark and light patches that really allow the piece to "pop."

The dimensions of each individual rectangle is 3/4" x 1/2"

About the piece: The Koru pendant is modeled after the koru fern, a symbol of strength, renewal and peace. I carved the piece in wax and then cast it in sterling silver. The pendant dangles from a sterling silver 16" chain. The piece itself is 1 1/2" long and 1/2" wide.

This piece is a fund raiser for Dress for Success River Cities, a nonprofit organization. The mission of Dress for Success is to promote the economic independence of disadvantaged women by providing professional attire, a network of support and career development tools.

The infinity spiral of the pendant represents the circle of giving and the spirit of women helping other women. I carved the model for the infinity pendant out of wax (see image on the right) and then cast it in sterling silver. Pendant dangles from a sterling silver chain. This piece is a great way to show your support for an excellent organization!
