This gorgeous silk bag can be used for your tarot, oracle or playing cards, as a jewellery holder, a cosmetics and “odd and ends” bag, or simply hung up for display. It also makes a stunning present when filled with your choice of small gifts.

Beautifully made in 100% pure Vietnamese silk in a choice of colours. This type of silk has a lovely luster and rich colour. Finished with Czech cord in gold or silver and Czech glass bead finials (we have these gorgeous, chunky beads made specially for us).
Fully lined in a toning 100% pure silk for a little extra touch of luxury.

Printed individually - by us. This bag is very vivid and luscious in colour and fully dry-cleanable. The print is absolutely fast and won’t fade, run or otherwise deteriorate in normal use, so you will be able to enjoy it for years.

At approx 5.5 inches by almost 8 inches these are a really useful size - and if you want to store tarot in them they are large enough to use for even the most over-sized cards.

This is one of our “standard” bags so will normally be in stock (though at times we may run out and need to make your bag to order). We usually have it in the two silks shown - teal (a gorgeous intense colour) and taupe (this one is two-tone, with a beautiful blue light) - please let us know if you have a preference.

A wonderful Art Nouveau print adapted from an engraving that we found in an antique portfolio book here in Prague.
We take original turn of the (19th/20th!) century book plates and restore and colour them so that you get a print with exceptional detail and rich tones. These bags really do turn heads and attract compliments, there is nothing else like them.

Our new laptop bags combine the best qualities of a hand-made, customised piece with professional production. We have the bags made to our specification by a laptop specialist, then we print and add each flap individually, here in Czech Republic. This means that you get a bag that is special, individual and produced in small quantities (you're very unlikely to run into someone with the same one) at a great price.

*More about the internal pockets and design.

There are two zippered front pockets under the flap. The small one is ideal for small items and accessories. It would also be a great place to store lotions, make-up or anything that could feasibly leak, as it's well away from the actual laptop compartment. The larger zippered pocket has three three sections and four pen/pencil holders. It would be good for storing charger, adaptors, leads etc.

The main compartment of the bag has no zipper but can be closed with a drawstring for extra waterproofing (it's under the flap in any case). There are two main sections to this compartment, one for the actual laptop (with top velcro fastening to hold it firmly in place) and one extra one suitable for documents, books and other larger items.

* Please note that when the strap is entended to the full 131 cm (51 inches) some of the velcro tape will show. As this is chosen to tone with the fabric, it looks fine. However, if you wear your hair long it may catch. We just wanted to flag this!

If you want to cover all of the velcro, the maximum length of the strap is about 115cm (45 inches).

Another of our very special shoulder bags. We make these with great care and the best possible materials so that they're very special. They look good with anything from jeans to evening wear - and have been bought to wear to weddings and other events, where they're guaranteed to be admired.

We've combined a fairytale illustration (taken from an original early 20th century edition in our own collection) with very high-quality 100% dupion silk. Finished with hand-woven handles - see more below - and metallic fabric cording. There's also a small sprinkling of Czech beads to add a little bit of sparkle. Luscious.

These bags have the most gorgeous handwoven (no, really, and it's done here in Czech) handles. These use a very old technique which is now rarely found. The result is a strap that is soft, but thick and strong. These are very special and look and feel gorgeous - folky, funky, silky and very sensual to the touch.

Finished with a sprinkling of fine Czech glass beads on the picture and high-quality metallic piping "framing" it.

This print is based on an Art Nouveau picture that we found in an antique book here in Prague. It was originally part of a turn of the (last!) century fairytale calendar. We've done a great deal of work on it to restore the colours and detailing. The resulting image is wildly romantic and adorable.

A Japanese Winter - three-way messenger bag, geisha in snowy landscape

This three-way (it converts to shoulder bag or rucksack) messenger bag is both wonderfully practical and a real head-turner. Expect to get LOTS of comments and smiles when you wear this.

The picture is based on an antique Japanese artwork which we've carefully altered so that it prints beautifully on fabric. There is a lot of detail and delicate line and shape in this image.

The body of the bag is cotton canvas, and the print itself is on a strong synthetic canvas so it's water-proof, fade-proof and will perform as well as even the best quality fashion fabrics. This is NOT a cheap transfer print. Dry-cleanable, washable and you can happily sponge-clean in between. We want this bag to give many years of wear and pleasure.

More details

Printed individually on a tough but fine-grained synthetic canvas, we set up each of these images for maximum colour and resolution quality. The flap is then applied by hand.

The body of the bag is in a choice of good quality black or dark taupe cotton canvas, lightly padded to protect whatever you carry and to keep its shape well. The metal fastenings are in steel, and of good, heavy quality. The bag has a zip top and the flap holds firmly in place with two concealed magnetic fasteners - this flap will stay smoothly in place until you want to lift it. All in all a sturdy, secure bag.

Internally, it's fully lined in an attractive black lining with a woven stripe. There is one large zip pocket and a small open pocket for cellphone etc. Branded with a sewn-in “Baba Studio” ribbon.

This is a very special limited edition. Printed on satin and combined with THE most vivid and beautiful scarlet pure silk kimono - it has a lovely texture and is the purest, truest scarlet red you can imagine. As this silk has been very popular, we have recently invested in some more old (1950s or 60s we think) kimonos so we now have this also with a woven flower or birds pattern. Please let us know if you have any particular preference, otherwise we will pick the kimono for you - all are the same amazing scarlet and all are really lovely old silk (washed and air-dried by hand before we make them into bags).

The beautiful Le Soleil (Sun) - is one in a small series of bags based on the Wirth Tarot. We actually take these images from a 1926 Wirth tarot found - fortunately enough - in an antique shop in Prague.

Printed individually on satin. Finished with Czech metallic cording in gold and Czech glass beads.

Fully lined - of course.

*More about the internal pockets and design.

There are two zippered front pockets under the flap. The small one is ideal for small items and accessories. It would also be a great place to store lotions, make-up or anything that could feasibly leak, as it's well away from the actual laptop compartment. The larger zippered pocket has three three sections and four pen/pencil holders. It would be good for storing charger, adaptors, leads etc.

The main compartment of the bag has no zipper but can be closed with a drawstring for extra waterproofing (it's under the flap in any case). There are two main sections to this compartment, one for the actual laptop (with top velcro fastening to hold it firmly in place) and one extra one suitable for documents, books and other larger items.

* Please note that when the strap is entended to the full 131 cm (51 inches) some of the velcro tape will show. As this is chosen to tone with the fabric, it looks fine. However, if you wear your hair long it may catch. We just wanted to flag this!

We take original turn of the (19th/20th!) century book plates and restore and recolour them so that you get a print with exceptional detail and rich colouring. *More about the internal pockets and design.

There are two zippered front pockets under the flap. The small one is ideal for small items and accessories. It would also be a great place to store lotions, make-up or anything that could feasibly leak, as it's well away from the actual laptop compartment. The larger zippered pocket has three three sections and four pen/pencil holders. It would be good for storing charger, adaptors, leads etc.

The main compartment of the bag has no zipper but can be closed with a drawstring for extra waterproofing (it's under the flap in any case). There are two main sections to this compartment, one for the actual laptop (with top velcro fastening to hold it firmly in place) and one extra one suitable for documents, books and other larger items.

* Please note that when the strap is entended to the full 131 cm (51 inches) some of the velcro tape will show. As this is chosen to tone with the fabric, it looks fine. However, if you wear your hair long it may catch. We just wanted to flag this!

If you want to cover all of the velcro, the maximum length of the strap is about 115cm (45 inches).

A touch of the Japanese Gothic? This three-way (it converts to shoulder bag or rucksack) messenger bag is both wonderfully practical and a real head-turner. Expect to get LOTS of attention when you wear this.

It's based on an antique Japanese artwork which we've carefully altered so that it prints beautifully on fabric. There is a lot of detail in this picture.

The body of the bag is cotton canvas, and the print itself is on a strong synthetic canvas so it's water-proof, fade-proof and will perform as well as even the best quality fashion fabrics. This is NOT a cheap transfer print. Dry-cleanable, washable and you can happily sponge-clean in between. We want this bag to give many years of wear and pleasure.

More details

Printed individually on a tough but fine-grained synthetic canvas, we set up each of these images for maximum colour and resolution quality. The flap is then applied by hand.

The body of the bag is in a choice of good quality black or dark taupe cotton canvas, lightly padded to protect whatever you carry and to keep its shape well. The metal fastenings are in steel, and of good, heavy quality. The bag has a zip top and the flap holds firmly in place with two concealed magnetic fasteners - this flap will stay smoothly in place until you want to lift it. All in all a sturdy, secure bag.

Internally, it's fully lined in an attractive black lining with a woven stripe. There is one large zip pocket and a small open pocket for cellphone etc. Branded with a sewn-in “Baba Studio” ribbon.

This bag really does feel precious and is guaranteed to attract compliments. We've combined a fairytale illustration (taken from an original late 19th century edition) with very high-quality 100% dupion silk. Finished with hand-woven handles - see more below - and metallic fabric cording. There's also a small sprinkling of Czech beads to add a little bit of sparkle. Luscious.

This bag is in a soft "washed denim" blue shantung silk (it's 100% pure silk). We can also make it in other colours - please contact us if you'd like another colour.

MORE DETAILS

Exceptionally well printed (we set up each one and do much colour and image adjustment for a fabulous final result) on rich satin. Sides and backs are dupion 100% silk interfaced to give structure and strength. There's a top zip fastening and the bags are fully lined with one internal pocket. The print is "framed" with metallic piping chosen to tone.

These bags have the most gorgeous handwoven (no, really, and it's done here in Czech) handles. These use a very old technique which is now rarely found. The result is a strap that is soft, but thick and strong. These are very special and look and feel gorgeous - folky, funky, silky and very sensual to the touch.

Finished with a sprinkling of fine Czech glass beads on the picture and high-quality metallic piping "framing" it.

The bags are NOT large tote-sized. They are about 7.25 inches by 9 inches. A nice practical handbag-size for purse, phone, comb and so on.

This beautiful picture is based on one of Arthur Rackhams's classic illustrations for the story of Undine - it's one of our very most popular bags and now comes in our new lower-cost (but same quality) "standard" bags. We took this picture from an original Victorian book and did a great deal of careful restoration and coloring work so that the satin print is detailed and lush.

Based on a delicate image by "Golden Age" illustrator Warwick Goble. This is a plate from "Japanese Fairytales". We take these images and clean and recolour them with great care in order to restore them to their original quality.

This is a beautiful bag that can be used for your cards, as a jewellery holder, a small cosmetics and “odd and ends” bag, or simply hung up for display. It also makes a stunning present when filled with your choice of small gifts.

The quality of these bags is lovely. They’e beautifully made in 100% Thai shot silk in a great turquoise blue (quite a bit more vibrant than it looks in the picture, it really "zings" in the light). We finish them with gold coloured cord and Czech glass bead finials (we have these gorgeous, chunky beads made specially for us).
Fully lined - and NEW - now the lining is also 100% pure silk lining - so the bag feels very lavish.

Based on an amazing picture by the great 19th century French artist, JJ Grandville. We took this picture from an original 1947 book with hand-coloured plates and did a great deal of careful restoration and coloring work so that the satin print is detailed and lush.

Our vivid satin prints are very high quality - rich colours, no running, no fading and fully dry-cleanable. We do every one ourselves and take great care to make them detailed and lush.

In this bag we've combined an amazing two-tone copper pure silk with a carefully restored "Alice in Wonderland" picture by Arthur Rackham (taken from an original late 19th century edition). Finished with hand-woven handles - see more below - and copper metallic cording. A gem of a bag.

This two-tone copper is hard to capture. It's a really rich, gorgeous tone that changes in the light. It's somewhere between the darker shade shown on the model photographs and the lighter one in the close up. It also comes in other colours (see below).

Please note that as this bag is very popular we're finding it hard to keep in stock (we try!) so we often have to make to order. This sometimes means a wait of about ten days. However, the advantage is that you are welcome to choose your own silk colour. Please convo when you buy to discuss which colours we have and which you'd prefer. Exceptionally well printed (we set up each one and do much colour and image adjustment for a fabulous final result) on rich satin. Sides and backs are dupion 100% silk interfaced to give structure and strength. There's a top zip fastening and the bags are fully lined with one internal pocket. The print is "framed" with metallic piping chosen to tone.

These bags have the most gorgeous handwoven (no, really, and it's done here in Czech) handles. These use a very old technique which is now rarely found. The result is a strap that is soft, but thick and strong. These are very special and look and feel gorgeous - folky, funky, silky and very sensual to the touch.

Finished with a sprinkling of fine Czech glass beads on the picture and high-quality metallic piping "framing" it.

The bags are NOT large tote-sized. They are about 7.25 inches by 9 inches. A nice practical handbag-size for purse, phone, comb and so on.

There are two zippered front pockets under the flap. The small one is ideal for small items and accessories. It would also be a great place to store lotions, make-up or anything that could feasibly leak, as it's well away from the actual laptop compartment. The larger zippered pocket has three three sections and four pen/pencil holders. It would be good for storing charger, adaptors, leads etc.

The main compartment of the bag has no zipper but can be closed with a drawstring for extra waterproofing (it's under the flap in any case). There are two main sections to this compartment, one for the actual laptop (with top velcro fastening to hold it firmly in place) and one extra one suitable for documents, books and other larger items.

* Please note that when the strap is entended to the full 131 cm (51 inches) some of the velcro tape will show. As this is chosen to tone with the fabric, it looks fine. However, if you wear your hair long it may catch. We just wanted to flag this!

Printed individually on a tough but fine-grained canvas, we set up each of these images for maximum colour and resolution quality. The flap is then applied by hand (the bag is specially designed to allow us to do this very neatly - with the image going right to the edge). It’s water-proof, fade-proof and will perform as well as the best quality fashion fabrics. Dry-cleanable and you can sponge-clean in between. We want this bag to give many years of wear and pleasure.

The main compartment of the bag has no zipper but can be closed with a drawstring for extra waterproofing (it's under the flap in any case). There are two main sections to this compartment, one for the actual laptop (with top velcro fastening to hold it firmly in place) and one extra one suitable for documents, books and other larger items.

Width approx 15 inches (38 cm) Height approx 11 inches (28 cm) Depth approx 2 inches ( 5 cm) - though the bag will happily expand when it's full.

The strap is 51 inches (129 cm) when fully extended - including the steel fastenings. Of course it's adjustable so most people will wear it shorter than this.

PLEASE NOTE: The body of the bag is made in a small factory exclusively to our own design and pattern (and yes, we checked out the factory's ethical and employment policies). We then make each print ourselves and add it individually by hand. We do it this way because we don't have some of the specialist machinery needed for this kind of bag. Now in our new vivid satin prints. These are very high quality - rich colours, no fading and full dry-cleanable. We're delighted with this new print technique.

In this bag we've combined a BRIGHT iridescent two-tone blue/purple pure silk with a carefully restored "Alice in Wonderland" picture by Arthur Rackham (taken from an original late 19th century edition). Finished with hand-woven handles - see more below - and metallic cording. A gem of a bag. The colour of this is almost like a sapphire - very striking and quite beautiful.

Please note that as this bag is very popular we're finding it hard to keep in stock (we try!) so we often have to make to order. This sometimes means a wait of about ten days. However, the advantage is that you are welcome to choose your own silk colour. Please convo when you buy to discuss which colours we have and which you'd prefer. The bag is gorgeous in teal (also shown), grass-green, taupe/sage, apricot pink, copper, gold - or even in practical black! All of which we currently have, so please have fun choosing.

MORE DETAILS

Exceptionally well printed (we set up each one and do much colour and image adjustment for a fabulous final result) on rich satin. Sides and backs are dupion 100% silk interfaced to give structure and strength. There's a top zip fastening and the bags are fully lined with one internal pocket. The print is "framed" with metallic piping chosen to tone.

These bags have the most gorgeous handwoven (no, really, and it's done here in Czech) handles. These use a very old technique which is now rarely found. The result is a strap that is soft, but thick and strong. These are very special and look and feel gorgeous - folky, funky, silky and very sensual to the touch.

Finished with a sprinkling of fine Czech glass beads on the picture and high-quality metallic piping "framing" it.

The bags are NOT large tote-sized. They are about 7.25 inches by 9 inches. A nice practical handbag-size for purse, phone, comb and so on.

There are two zippered front pockets under the flap. The small one is ideal for small items and accessories. It would also be a great place to store lotions, make-up or anything that could feasibly leak, as it's well away from the actual laptop compartment. The larger zippered pocket has three three sections and four pen/pencil holders. It would be good for storing charger, adaptors, leads etc.
