This design has ancient origins: the little drawing of a duiker that I used in repeat is taken from a 2000-year-old cave drawing in the Cedarberg, just a few hours north of Cape Town. It's part of my Sevilla Rock collection of screenprinted fabrics, all available in yardage.

The Duikers design is screenprinted with waterbased ink onto 100% cotton with a linen-look slubby texture, and overdyed in a natural tone. It's backed in natural toned cotton/linen, , and closes with a zip at the base.

Dimensions: 46 x 46cm (18" x18")

This design is also available in green.

I Wish we had IKEA - tea towel

We don't have IKEA stores in South Africa (poor us!), so all that great design at good prices is frustratingly inaccessible. Last year, someone kindly sent a 2009 IKEA catalogue for me to drool over, and I've made some sketches of the things I liked best.

I thought it would be fun to share my IKEA wishlist on a tea towel, and I've called it "I Wish we had IKEA". So as you dry the dishes, you can think about your own IKEA shopping list, the next time you're lucky enough to visit!

"I Wish we had IKEA" is printed in grey water-based ink on natural-toned cotton hopsack. Hopsack is a loose-weave 100% cotton fabric that is very absorbant, and perfect for drying the dishes.

I drew all the vintage teapots and jugs in our house, and turned them into a teatowel design. This one is screenprinted in burnt orange, using water-based ink onto 100% cotton hopsack .

Hopsack is a loose-weave textured cotton, perfect for drying the dishes. There's a Skinny laMinx tag at the back for hanging it up.

The Sevilla Rock collection is inspired by the work of my friend Peter Slingsby, a cartographer and rock art enthusiast who faithfully photographs and records rock art sites. Thanks for letting me use your records, Pete!

This fabric I designed for my Sevilla Rock range will work on upholstery projects, as well as for smaller projects like cushions, bags and purses. The cloth has a nice slubby texture and a good solid weight.

I'm selling this as lengths of fabric in the following formats:

Quarter metre: 72cm wide x 50cm high (28.5"w x 19.6"h)- $14
Half metre: 145cm wide x 50cm high (57"w x 19.6"h) - $27
Full metre: 145cm wide x 100cm high (57"w x 39.3"h) - $50

This listing is priced for a quarter metre, but I'll cut as you order, so can cut lengths as you choose. Just let me know how much you need.
