These Christmas necklaces were featured in Belle Armoire Jewelry magazine Winter 2009 issue in my article "Christmas Pendants".

Totally OOAK, I created these seasonal treasures using polymer clay & vintage postcard images. The pendants have been painted with a variety of glazes for a cool retro look.

"December 25th" swings from a 15 1/2" copper chain that's been twisted up with hammered copper ovals, red glass & freshwater pearl beads. It dons a handmade copper clasp.

Salt Water Sprite - Sea Fairy

In 2007 I made 4 of these Sea Fairy shells. The last two to the set have been sitting prettily in my sunroom, hanging out until it was time to find a new home!

I altered a 3" shell, hoping it would make a cozy-cottage dwelling for this little Salt Water Sprite. She tends her garden of seashells and and seaglass and she's all sealed up in a glazzy-like glaze for protection.

A perfect gift for your shell-collecting buddy!

Wrapped in a pretty box and dons a handmade blank butterfly tag. (last photo)

"Christmas at The Cottage" swings from a found copper snowflake, copper chain and Unakite. The chain around the neck measures 16 1/2" in length and the the drop from the snowflake down measures 4". The drop is what gives this piece an updated retro-feel. It dons a handmade copper clasp.

I just adore making these domino pendants! I decorated the domino with old paper from a poetry book, a vintage bird image, copper wire, freshwater pearl and copper beads.

LOVELY GIRL fabulous felt flower brooch

~My "Fabulous Felt Flowers" are upcycled from wool sweaters, that I have felted over and over again. The petals, leaves and stamens are designed from my imagination, and do not necessary depict any one particular flower!

~Each flower brooch comes attatched to a pretty card made from recycled greeting cards that are covered with left-over vintage paper from my collaging adventures. It's all ready for gift giving! (shown in pic 3)

~"LOVELY GIRL" measures about 6" x 4 3/4" and is embellished with a Peace jade bead.

Best Friends Forever

I created BFF using a Victorian Grange name-tag holder. I used an image from my antique photo collection to make the little fairy-girl, who became best friends with the little bird, both born the same day in a secret Maine garden in the woods.

The 16 1/2" chain was all twisted up with sterling wire, blue amzonite & green jasper beads. It dons a handmade sterling clasp.

~*~ A perfect gift for the maid of honor, or flower girl!

I've framed out a clear piece of Maine seaglass with polymer clay, that I've formed and twisted into tendrils and flowers. I paint the clay with my own unique blend of glazes and paints and seal with several more layers of glassy-glaze. I've used vintage images and old poetry text for the pretty collage.

The 15 /14" dainty chain has been twisted up in fine copper wire, jade chips, copper beads and amethyst glass. It dons a handmade copper clasp.

Little Pink Rose - Flower Fit For a Fairy

"Flowers Fit For a Fairy" is an article I wrote for Belle Armoire Jewelry magazine's 2009 Fall issue. "Little Pink Rose" is a bit smaller than the three that were featured in the article.

I handmade each flower from polymer clay, and created a cluster center with beads. Each flower was handpainted with many layers of paint and glazes to give them a vintage-shabby look.

"Little Pink Rose" has a cluster of glass beads in it's center and measures 1 1/2 x 1 3/4". The 16 1/2" chain is all twisted up with snow quartz and copper. It dons a handmade copper clasp.

"Flowers Fit For a Fairy" is an article I wrote for Belle Armoire Jewelry magazine's 2009 Fall issue. "Blue Pansy" is one of the three flowers featured in this article. (see last photo)

The necklaces are pure statement pieces, and though they are chunky, they are not heavy since they were made with polymer.

"Blue Pansy" has peace jade beads in it's center and the 20 1/2" chain is made from crystal jet black beads. The pendant measures 2 1/4" x 2" and it dons a handmade sterling clasp.

All This French To Me Today -featured in Belle Armoire Jewelry magazine

This piece and several more to come have been featured in my article "Summer Treasures" in the 2009 summer issue of Belle Armoire Jewelry magazine. (see last photo)

"All This French To Me Today" was a little snippet that I clipped from an old children's French school book. Imagine the little girl in her wool coat, skipping her way home from school, all the while practicing her french for the big quiz tomorrow.

I've used a shard from an antique Limoges plate and framed it out in polymer clay that I've hand painted with several layers of paint and glazes. The entire piece has been glazed over several times.

The unique pendant swings from a chunky 16" copper chain, and I have added a 2" extender, so it can be worn up to 18". It dons a handmade copper clasp.

FEARLESS OF HEART is a OOAK original piece of art framed up with a vintage drawer pull. The raven was done in ink, oil pastel and pencil, collaged onto ephemera, topped off with fine glitter and finished with many layers of glossy glaze. The pendant was crowned with a pretty antique button.

The 17 1/2" chain was twisted up with fine copper wire, fresh water pearls and copper chain. Notice the unusual "bead" worked into the chain? It's the tip of an antique silver~plate fork, wrapped in copper with a fleur de lis charm.

GOTHIC? STEAMPUNK? EDGAR ALLEN POE? How about a OOAK "Junque Revived" piece! (perfect for gift giving or just for keeps)

BEWITCH Subject to Witchcraft - bracelet

A brand new listing for the season!

I designed "Bewitch" around a repurposed silvertone buckle that I recently found in a little box of trinkets. I've always loved the sepia and orange colors of the french text that I clipped from an antique French book. A vintage image of a black bird is surrounded by just a touch of blood-red witch dust.

The 7 1/4' bracelet has an extender chain so it can be worn up to an 8 1/2" wrist. I'll be glad to add a few more links if you need it larger. Is all twisted up with sterling silver wire, Jasper & glass beads.

The little BEE that could BEE good. I knew this fella was destined for bigger and better things when I spotted him in a pile of old costume jewelry that I was sifting through. He practically flew into my hand and yelled, "PICK ME! PICK ME!"

Altered from a cool retro brooch, our little friend swings from a vintage sewing find.

This 15 1/2" chain is all twisted up with copper, golden jade, freshwater pearls and dons a handmade copper clasp.

It looks so cool on, and catches compliments wherever it may buzz about!

The Owl Who Knew Too Much

There was a church with a very old bell tower that sat on top of a hill in a small village in Maine. From the church you could see the village on one side and the ocean below on another. In back of the church there stood a small stand of trees where an owl lived. The owl would sit for hours on top of the bell tower to hunt for small moles and other delictable treats. The villagers felt very superstitous about this old owl. They knew he knew their secrets, because for many years they felt he was listening in on their most private confessions. To appease the owl each villager commissioned the local Metalsmith to make them a doorknocker in the shape of an owl. They felt their secrets would be safe with the owl if they showed him the respect he deserved. The Metalsmith and his family became so well known in the area for their owl doorknockers, he created this necklace for his daughter and wife to wear.

I created this piece from an old vintage drawer pull, ephemera and a little found bell. The mini collage has been covered with several coats of glaze to protect the finish. A bit of sparkly, magic fairy-dust was added.

I twisted up the 17" chain with aged copper wire & faceted Moukaite Jasper. It dons a handmade copper clasp.

A Wise Soul

A Wise Soul's Fairytale: "Traveling through night with only the moonlight to guide her along the deep wooded path set her soul to ice. She stumbled over large roots that looked and felt like dark creatures who wanted to capture and bring her below the pine-needle laiden forest's floor. She fell again, and ripped the hem of her dress and skinned her knees and hands. She was frightened, and her cheeks were now tear stained and she even contemplated going back to the castle from which she escaped. Just as her thoughts turned to giving up, a beautiful owl landed in the lowest branch above her. She might have been scared, except the wise clear eyes of the owl seemed to warm her heart some. "keep going and I will lead you to the forest's edge where your beloved is waiting," he said."
