THE BIRTH OF VENUS pendant was designed by me (Natalia Moroz) and crafted by the artist and jewelry designer Sergey Zhiboedov (my husband). The pendant was inspired by Ancient mythology and Renaissance art. It depicts the goddess Venus, having emerged from the sea, sitting in a shell and holding a pearl in her left hand.

The shell is made of sterling silver. The goddess figure is gold plated (24K) silver. The pendant is adorned with a 9.5mm freshwater pearl and three 1.7mm diamonds are set in 14K gold bezels.

The shell is 36mm across and 35mm high. The pendant with the bail is 45mm high and 15mm deep. The chain is not included.

This silver earrings were designed by me (Natalia Moroz) and crafted by the artist and jewelry designer Sergey Zhiboedov (my husband).
Each earring is about 1" square (21x19 mm) and weights 3.8 gr. There is a pin closure on the back of the ball.

This sterling silver ring was was designed by me and crafted by the artist and jewelry designer Sergey Zhiboedov. The design was inspired by Art Nouveau - one of my favorite art styles. I particularly like lilies and used them in several artworks including this ring. The band is 10mm (3/8" wide). Oxidized to bring out the details of the beautiful floral design.

Darmstadtium linocut

I did this linocut for the Periodic Table of Elements Printmaking Project. I contributed three artworks: Tin (#50), Mendelevium (#101), and Darmstadtium (#110).

Darmstadtium is the synthetic chemical element, a superheavy metal, of atomic number 110. The first atom of the heaviest chemical element was detected in Darmstadt, Germany in 1994. The element 110 decays after a small fraction of a thousandth of a second into lighter elements by emitting alpha-particles which are the nuclei of helium atoms.
Reading about Darmstadtium I instantly imagined its superheavy atom lifted by an old-fashioned circus weightlifter. He is struggling under the weight while looking expectantly at his wristwatch: the weight is supposed to lighten any millisecond now.

It's a four color linocut printed with Daniel Smith oil based inks on white Rising Stonehenge paper. To learn more about linocut printmaking please read my profile. The artwork size is 6"x6" (15x15cm), paper size 10"x11" (about 25x28cm). The artwork is titled, signed and numbered in pencil.

Mens Silver Ring - Guardian Angels

This beautiful piece of wearable art was designed and crafted by the artist and jewelry designer Sergey Zhiboedov (my husband). The ring was inspired by Medieval architecture and sculpture and features two angels - one on each side of the shank. Made of sterling silver and adorned with a black onyx cabochon (10x14 mm). There is the artist logo stamped inside of the shank.

Available in sizes - from 8.5 to 13. It was designed as a men's ring, but due to its unisex design is also suitable for women with larger hands. Sergey also made a matching women's ring (available in sizes 5 to 8) which is proportionally smaller, has a smaller stone (8x10mm), and differs in price from this listing.

People have always wanted to know their future, but the power to foretell, desirable and rare, is a frightening gift. Great prophets of the past - Cassandra, Jeremiah, Nostradamus... were they happy? At times, persons with such abilities were stoned or burned as witches, and even the gift itself is self-destroying because knowing the future may burn one's soul with sorrow.
These thoughts inspired my "Prophecy".

This is a reduction linocut - a print made with the use of a single block. Through a series of progressive cuttings, inkings, and printings, the image slowly emerges while the actual block is destroyed. A reduction print can therefore never be reprinted. This linocut was printed in a small edition of 21

The Lion's Head pendant is made of sterling silver. This amazing piece of wearable art was designed and crafted by the artist and jewelry designer Sergey Zhiboedov (my husband). Size: head - width 24.3 mm (15/16"), height 28mm (1.25"), height with bail - 39.7mm (1.6"). In addition to the masterfully crafted front, the pendant has ornamental grating on the back. Can be worn on a chain or a lather rope (not included).

The pendant was inspired by Medieval times when carved representations of a lion's head were often used on furniture and in architecture. The symbolic meaning of lions is Strength. It also symbolizes Courage, Power, Royalty, Dignity, Authority, Dominion, Justice, Wisdom, and Ferocity. As a zodiacal sign Lion (Leo) is for people born between July 23rd and August 22nd.

Going with my son to playgrounds and observing playing kids, I always marveled at how fully children absorb in their games and how completely they enjoy what they are doing. This fullness of emotions is something that people often lack when they grow up. I tried to convey this feeling by using a dynamic composition and bold spontaneous strokes.

Spurts of water shape woman's face and naked body. An everyday scene reminded me of the Greek myth of Danaya. Her father, the king of Argos Archady, was predicted to die of the hand of his grand child, so he kept her locked in an undergrownd palace where nobody could see her. Powerful Zeus transformed into golden rain and reached to Danaya. She became his wife and gave a birth to his son, called Perseus. Ancient mythology is a great source of inspiration for me, for it contains the very basic human emotions in the most intense and purified form.

To produce this complex print I used multiple plates, reduction technique, and gradient inking (also known as rainbow inking). Each print in this edition is somewhat different. Every color had to be printed on a separate run and the artwork went through the printing press seven times. All these gave the linocut print the subtlety and uniqueness of a monotype painting.

STREAMING WATER is an original color linocut from a limited edition of 27. Designed, cut, and printed by me, Natalia Moroz. Titled, numbered and signed in pencil. Dated 2005.

This print is a part of my Earth and Sea series which I started in 2004. The other three linocuts are Monterey Cypresses, Weathered Barn, and Burning Leaves.

This linocut was done in the reduction technique. It's a printmaking method when a multicolored print is made with the use of a single block. Through a series of progressive cuttings, inkings, and printings, the image slowly emerges while the actual block is destroyed. A reduction print can therefore never be reprinted.

This beautiful piece of wearable art was designed and crafted by the artist and jewelry designer Sergey Zhiboedov (my husband). The ring was inspired by Medieval architecture and sculpture and features two angels - one on each side of the shank. Made of sterling silver and adorned with a dark blue lapis lazuli cabochon (10x14 mm). There is the artist stamp inside the shank.

Available in sizes from 9 to 13, just specify when placing your order. It was designed as a men's ring, but due to its unisex design is also suitable for women with larger hands. Sergey also made a matching women's ring (available in sizes 5 to 8) which is proportionally smaller, has a smaller stone (8x10mm), and differs in price from this listing.

In 2004 I worked on a series of multicolored still lives. They are rarely taken directly from life. More often an object serves only as an inspiration and demands for other things to come along. Here, a half of a pomegranate has evoked a glimpse of a moody woman face in a cracked mirror. A half-lit moon and two bamboo stems in an ancient vase completed this mysterious still life.

A NEW CONSTELLATION is a monoprint linocut featuring zodiac sign of Scoprion (Oct. 23 - Nov. 21, Scorpius in Latin). Designed, cut, and printed by me, Natalia Moroz. Signed and titled in pencil, numbered 1/1 (monotype). Dated 2004. This is an original piece of artwork, not a reproduction.

I cut all the elements of the composition out of linoleum and inked them in the monotype manner. I printed several artworks, and in each of them the elements were positioned differently. Layout and coloring of every print is unique, so even though they produced from linoleum plates, they are considered monoprints and signed 1/1.
