Remember... found object assemblage necklace upcycled recycled old photo natural items

$42.00
Remember
All the materials in this piece are found objects and up cycled/recycled and have the natural patina of history and mystery!
The center piece is made from an old photo of a woman I think looks like Emily Dickinson. I framed it with copper foil. I added three tiny bottles with natural items in them. One has little pieces from a bluebird egg, one has dried red rose hips, one has dried mosses. The bottles have a tiny mica lid.
Along with beads and baubles I used pieces of beaded jewelry, old buttons, a tiny watch face, chains, and old tokens to create the sides. The pieces are mounted on hand dyed crocheted silky ribbons and have a toggle clasp on the top. The sides are each about 10 inches long.
SOON Assemblage Necklace found object upcycled recycled Jewelry

$45.00
Soon
All the materials in this piece are found objects and up cycled/recycled and have the natural patina of history and mystery!
The center piece is made from a photo of a tiny somber girl. She is placed behind and looking through the bluish stone of the decorative vintage jewelry piece. I used a tiny silver spoon that I found in a burned cabin. I bent the spoon handle to hold the chain and added a glass bead with the word soon behind it. It hangs from the work with a ball chain. I used pieces of beaded jewelry, old diamond type buttons that hang from the side. The piece is mounted on hand dyed crocheted silky ribbons and have a toggle clasp on the top. The side ribbons are each about 9 inches long and the piece is 5 inches long including the spoon. Please email my with any questions
RELICS FROM A CROW NEST FOUND ART JEWELRY NECKLACE ASSEMBLAGE

$75.00
Relics Stolen from the Crow Nest
If you are looking for shiny and new this ode to the crow necklace probably won’t suit you as all the objects and materials in this piece are found and upcycled/recycled and have natural patina of history and mystery!
The center piece is made from an unusual found object. It is a stiffed leathery holed object 3.5 inches long. I backed it with a metal brassy piece to create a window. Behind the tiny mica window is the word: crow.
Along with beads and baubles I used large vintage safety pins, old buttons, a tiny light bulb, shiny crystals on chains, and old tokens to create the sides. The top part of the side pieces are vintage black ribbons and added a brass fastener for a clasp on the top. The sides are each about 8 inches long. I can pull the piece over my head or it can be put on with the brass clasp.
I used an old metal base, rusted scissors, wire, a glass ball and other strange found objects to create the work. On top is a “Big Brother” face inside a rusted round piece. The above quotes were taken from a salvaged George Orwell’s classic book “1984.”

I used the quotes on the scissor blades and other places on the work
The work is approximately 11 inches high.

I altered an image of Kafka and put it in side a tin box that is turned in to a window with the help of my metal cutting tool. With wire I secured it to a tree limb. I added strips of text from a book on the psychology of Kafka and used vintage bulbs that hang from the branches like strange fruit.

On the top is a Metamorphosis beetle that I embellished with metal paints. The piece is ready to hang with a wire on the back. The size is 12 inches tall and 8 inches at the widest point.
Time Machine Assemblage Found Object Art Steampunk

$30.00
Free Will and Time Machine

This assemblage was inspired by philosopher Henri Bergson's book on Time and Free Will. I used a doll arm reaching through rocky surface to represent humanity reaching for free will. I added words from the book on little tacks on the rocklike surface. On the bottom wheel I added a old typewriter tab that says Floating Shift. The wings are made from text from the book.
I mounted the work onto a antique hinge. I also used paint and inks to further embellish the work. Any questions about the process or my work please convo me!
The size is 9 by 5 and is ready to hang.
Almost all the materials are recycled, upcycled, repurposed and rescued, making this piece very eco-friendly!
