Little Tales 1 - a short story zine with a family theme

$2.00
This little 17 page zine is filled with ultra short stories - ranging from 50 to 300 words. Some are based on personal experience; some are pure fiction. Some funny. Some sad. A little of everything.

Note: While there are several stories ABOUT children, the items in this zine are not written FOR children. That said, I'd rate them at a PG to PG-13 level. Nothing too harsh.

I've had my fiction published in other small press collections and short-story websites. I maintain a portfolio at writing.com if you are interested in reading a few other pieces that I play with over there:
http://Writing.Com/authors/karabu

All stories were written by yours truly - and I even sewed the binding. The cover and back page are printed in color on card-stock, the interior pages are printed in black and white on white paper.

An Excerpt:
A Mother's Panic

I hear her singing over the monitor. Then one of her electronic toys starts talking, indicating she’s out of bed. I’ll give her time. She’s tired. She needs this nap.

A loud THUNK shakes the ceiling. It came from the nursery; I bolt for the stairs. If she fell she’d be crying. Why isn’t she crying? She’s been knocked unconscious or killed and can’t cry. It’s the only explanation.

I burst through the door. She’s looking at a drawer by her feet she pulled out of the dresser. I draw her into a hug, trying to stop my shaking.

copyright 2007 Kara Hartz

Winnie the Pooh and Piglet Sliding Stencils

$4.00
These are 2 opened but unused quilt stencils form the "Bee my Friend" Pooh Collection.

The Pooh stencil has the original packaging instructions included. I don't have the package for Piglet, but both stencils work the same way, so the Pooh instructions should work for piglet too.

These stencils slide so that you can adjust the pattern to the length you need it to work for your project. I wasn't able to get wonderful pictures, but hopefully you can see the design ans sliding features from what I was able to get.

There are measurements on the stencils so you can see the sizes in the photos.
